  • The Hood Is Flooding : Angeles City, Philippines
Today with out warning it just started to downpour. It cam down so hard and fast that the streets filled up with water. At one point the wind was so strong we thought the awning on the store was going to blow away. When the rain stopped I took a walk around the hood to check out the damage.

I remember living in Subic in the 80s on Gordon Ave. The rains were horrendous but we fortunately never got flooded out. The power outages were a major pain then and look like its still happening now heh. Good luck to you out there Man 👍🏾😁

We were watching your video, and were recalling a night in 1969, about one a.m. and the rain was coming down in sheets, and my wife and I put on our bathing suits and walked through the rain swollen streets fro where we lived on Tarlac St. out to MacArthur, where the Bonanza nightclub was, and back again. The crazy things kids do. Thanks. Enjoying the vids.

I was on quezon Ave in quezon city. I went across the street to go to Robinson and while I was there it started to rain. The street was flooded within five minutes. Kids were carrying umbrella for ppl to make money. It was crazy but those kids were on the hustle. I let one walk me to my hotel, which was just across the street. He was asking 5 peso I gave him 20.. He was happy and I was dry.. Lol.. it floods really quick there. I have seen the inside of houses destroyed from the water...

Rains like that are good if the drains are clean and ready for it, if not then they get filled up and problems arise very quickly since the water will go somewhere. I know that amount of rain it is going to overflow but if they are clean the water in them keeps them clean.

Lots of damage from that rain inside Clark. Cars had to pull over the side of the road because of low visibility. Trees fell and some signs got blown away. I heard a security guard inside Clark got killed when a tree fell on his guard shack. One of those huge metal billboards fell on some power lines near the Friendship gate. Stay safe.

I was looking at Google earth of Angeles, and there is an interesting housing development on the west side of the city from you, and it looks very much like our developments here in America. Is that a more wealthy side of town? The house spacing allows for a yard, and the houses look fairly new from the satellite view.
