Fun fact: if you don't call air support at the very beginning you're able to have Salim go home to his son! It changes the end time from air support from 5 minutes to a few hours giving him time to escape at the end.

The Salim and Jason story is amazing and has shown how pointless war is they put their differences aside and work together to survive an evil greater than anything they could ever believe
imo it shows more that humans are never more than reflexive barbaric animals who can only stop fighting each other when they find an external common enemy and shift aggression
I loved how the game defies expectations by making us think that Eric King would be the somewhat main focus of this Dark Picture game then to just suddenly have Salim and Jason steal the spotlight near the end.
Eric seems like the most likely determinant character to die actually. I am pretty sure he is one of if not the hardest character to keep alive by the end.
Eric’s the only one who died in my playthrough and it was at the very end during the shed attack 😂 I just sat the controller down like “Ight I’m sick of this guy” WORTH IT😂 crazzzzy kill
The creatures had to be quite intelligent to build structures like the ones 3000+ ft. underground. It is possible that the aliens were once peaceful. However, from evidence in the game, the parasite began to spread throughout their civilization, turning them into a more ferocious and primal version of their former selves.
Salim said in game that they were once a peaceful civilization of architects, and higher classes of being that communicated through sound. They changed one day, due to the parasite, and turned on each other. This the ending of the aliens’ invasion.
I don’t think they have built any structure underground. The whole cavity is just the crash site of their space ship. They were infected in space, thus the burning ship scene seen by Rachel.
The greatest irony of the story is that the Sumerian Gods did curse the land. The Aliens were doomed to the underworld and feed off ash and dust once they all turned to vampires. Their cocoons and embalming fluid made sure that it would be their eternal coffins. The Akkadians were in the midst of a plague and the blood and death awoken these vampires to their end. And any tresspasser who disturbed the land would be ruthlessly slaughtered
i love how salim ended up being the most kind and beloved character from the game. i was kind of worried that the iraqi characters in the game would be demonized due to the setting and context, but the devs really let him shine.
Salim is one of the most endearing characters I’ve ever seen. I was so worried about him since he first appeared with the birthday present under his arm, it seemed so much like the whole “last day before retirement” trope. It really feels like the writers started the story with the pairing of Salim and Jason, then built all the other characters around that.
@@ButterflyScarlet “sO swEeT oF yoU” lol. Try not being a complete tard and your sarcasm might work out better. But please, go ahead though, and name all these so called racist depictions, especially in the horror genre.
Salim is the best character of all and is also the smartest because he didn’t want to fight the marines because he knew they need to work together in order to survive the aliens/vampires
His general would also be the same if he knew about the vampires but he knew about it when it was a little too late,I really wished he would have a character development and help the allies and lived to tell the tale.
The scene where Rachel finds herself inside a pit of blood and rotten flesh definitely pays homage to The Descent, that bit and the Jason's arc/Salim's moment where Salim gets Jason to come clean about his doubts on his own country's orders and become more human are by far the best points of the game. I like the Salim/Jason moment bc people seem to forget this detail but irl a lot of north american Iraq-war veterans became anti-war and anti-goverment many years later after the horrors they had to see and how many inocents were massacred following a blind idea of "them vs us". The game is actually quite good showing a human, reluctant iraqi soldier forced to become a killing machine who doesnt want to kill and just wants to live in peace with his son, and the seasoned but clueless us soldiers. Eric and Rachel are by far my least favourite characters because by the end of the game, even after Salim sacrificed so much for them, they were still willing to leave him behind in the 'motherlode' just because he was "the enemy" (but had no issue going back for Nick who "was one of them"), but Jason having been humanized by Salim breaks orders yet again and sets off to find his friend, completing his character arc flawlessly.
Well i would like to know where all these anti war vets are? Im one and I woulda gladly did a few more tours and all the vets I know and have talked to even said the same thing. Hell alot of of volunteered for at least 1 or more tours
@@boostloadingTV Right on. The game devs should have consulted with people that have military experience for a more realistic point of view on how military soldiers would handle things.
My guess was that the aliens' home world was in the shit because of a parasite pandemic and the ship that crashlanded on earth was escaping the dying world. But they brought the parasite with them and eventually they all turned into what we see in the game. The human infected look different because humans look different to the alien species, but the vampiric attributes granted by the parasite are similar
yes. They weren't bloodthirsty vampires and they didn't evolve into drinking blood. When the parasite takes over it (I think) eats their brain and pokes out it's own theeth and takes over the host and it feeds on blood.
Considering that the next dark pictures game seems to imply the antagonist as a parasite/mimic type of creature from outer space, Cetus (which was mentioned in House of Ashes), this was a good guess. Let's see if you're right ince the next game releases.
I noticed one of these replaying HoA's yesterday. In the last scene where the two guys in hazmat suits question the survivors, one of them says something along the lines of not seeing something like this since Winterfold - which is the title of one of the upcoming games! So safe to assume the game will have a supernatural threat that gets covered up?
There's a mention if you find one of the creature's skulls that the fangs seem to have broken through from the inside. I wonder if those parasites eat their way into the brain and replace it, poking their fangs/spines through the skull and essentially taking over the host body.
Yes. Usually parasites that kill and even really harm their victims are not... mm... endemic. Like getting a cow parasite will kill you, because, well, you are not a cow. Smaller and stuff. So, aliens probably got that parasite from some planet they visited and it infected some of the crew. Caused some fight against the infected so they crashlanded. Everyone who wasn't dead or infected before died and/or got infected after the catastrophe. That's what you get if you explore StarTrek-style ^^
It's really interesting to think about how the creatures or aliens had an advance civilization. They had to in order to travel through space, and it begs the question of how were they originally infected with the parasite. Did they pick it up in their travels? Is that why they crash landed on earth in the first place? Honestly, this is one of the best narratives about "ancient aliens" I've seen. Waaaay better than anything on Discover Channel.
There's no way those aliens got infected by parasites in space during their travel. The infection thing happened underground after crashing on Earth. I'm pretty sure.
im glad they actually added a real threat now because in the previous ones after you get to the ending it feels like every fear you got while playing it just suddely vanished because of the twist
I never realized that these games technically existed in the same continuity with each other. I just thought they were all random stories as a usual anthology is.
@@supersaiyansenturion275 The reason why the group in Little Hope was rerouted to a different route through the woods was bc Rachel and Erik was on their way to ice climb for their anniversary and was T-boned after leaving the diner.

House of Ashes & Man of Medan are my favorite so far. Not because Little Hope isn't good. I just like it more in these kind of games that my choices are why a character lives or dies verses having them live or die based on wether the player has unlocked a specific character trait or not
@@redfox-ss8pq Not true. U can save everyone in both Man of Medan & House of Ashes regardless of their character traits. In Little Hope u absolutely must go down a specific path & unlock certain character traits in order to save everyone (hence why at the end it shows u If something is locked or has been unlocked) which is why I'm glad they didn't do that in House of Ashes
@@redfox-ss8pq It's okay to not like a game as everyone is entitled to their opinion but u choices can result in someone's death at any point in game. That's the whole point of these game. U choices determine who lived & who dies. For example if u fail the QTEs Conrad will die while trying to escape on the speedboat but if u get them right he will live & be able to get help. If u get a weapon on the boat u can end up actually killing someone else. It's only in Little Hope that u must unlock specific character traits in order to save them otherwise if those traits stay locked those characters will die regardless of ur choices. This doesn't make Little Hope a bad game just a gaming choice that didn't sit well w/ a lot of people because it took the choice away from the player. In the end it doesn't matter if u passed all the QTEs or made the right choices to keep everyone alive if u didn't unlock their character traits they will die in the end. In my first playthrough I had everyone alive in the last chapter & then ended up losing 2-3 characters solely because I didn't unlock their character traits. I didn't want to look up a guild because A) I wanted to do a blind playthrough for my first playthrough & B) I didn't know their character traits would determine if they lived or died as that wasn't something that happened in Man of Medan nor in the game that followed House of Ashes. Again it's fine if u didn't like Man of Medan. Little Hope is still a good game it's just my least favorite of the series so far just as Man of Medan can be ur least favorite
@@claratalbot7613 man of medan is bad tho, the main characters only die at the very end if u want them too, even if u try to kill them before that they dont even die whatever u do, which is kinda dumb
Despite the creatures being revealed as extraterrestrial rather than supernatural. @@richardshiflett5181 but your ancient ancestors called aliens gods. And before that they worshipped survivors of advanced civilizations as gods while they helped restart society. The real GOD of the cosmos is the shadow of light.
Pazuzu was a Sumerian god of Childbirth. It's hilarious how something that looks like a demonic creature to us was a benevolent deity that eased the pain of childbirth in another culture.
@@asamvav He was also the bearer of storms and drought, Pazuzu being the King of the demons of the wind. In this case he has quite a wild character. So, technically he was an evil spirit, but such was his power that he could be invoked to ward off other evil spirits in the home. It's very rare that gods are all bad or all good; they're often reflective of society as a whole. They are revered not for their good natures, but for their powers.
I honestly forgot Pazuzu was founded in real mythology. The scene with the statue made me think about The Exorcist until I remembered that Pazuzu is a creature in mythology.
In my first playthrough, I got Jason to go back to save salim and missed that one single qte that had a spear go through his chest. I immediately quit and loaded again but apparently this game has a god tier saving system because it resumed right at the spot I quit at, with Jason falling to the ground.
Well yeah thats the point of the entire game is choices and actions habe irreversible concequences just like irl, also thays fucking tough i woulda rage quit too if i fucked that up holy shit😂😂😂😂
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Jason cutting himself when he’s looking at the pagan stick figures that may have possibly lead to the creatures awaking up along with the gun fight that takes place after
I think if you follow the story and secrets in the game, it's pretty clear that what woke the creatures up was the gunfire and bloodshed happening above them.
Call me crazy...but what if the plots of the games are all connected.... The little hope crossover and th other small hints aside , what if the government agency behind the manchrian gold are the same people who debrief the survivors. Their letter with scientist x on the ourang medan about protecting mankind from itself sounds similar to their statement on wanting to keep things quiet on the vampire monsters.
It’s a connected universe. All of the dark pictures anthology game are in the same universe. Both little hope and house of ashes have described the same serial killer in the newspaper.

Salim and Jason's eventual bond was very endearing and totally made this game for me. I also love ancient mythology stuff. This is the best one of the series, IMO.
Salim is everyone's favorite character in this game. Despite not liking military based stories, the "forced to band together" thread running throughout the story left me intrigued as to how all five characters would get out alive this time. And OORAH for actual monsters being in this story.
Also, another tie-in with the rest of the series is in Man of Medan. Just after they're all locked in the. Ship by the thugs (when you can look around and try to escape) you find a newspaper article about a dig team going missing in the middle east.
I really love the aspect of the historical basis in Sumer, it's such a cool setting and I wish we saw more media set in that period of ancient ancient history
Personally, the biggest jaw drop for me was the during credits sequence that I would gently describe as "SCP but we don't wanna credit the wiki for it". They're familiar with situations like this all the way down to having terminology for the "entities" and casually talking about upcoming plans in-between recounting the deaths of the characters. It's chilling in that "Oh, this could be the start of something good" kinda way.
I've only discovered your channel recently and I cannot say how glad I am to tap on one of your videos when it came up on my recommendations because your style of commentary is just perfect for me to listen to while I do my work. And was conscious with only half a head no less. There's one point where you have the option to leave Rachel in a cocoon of slime to stop her from turning, but it can also be used to get an ending where she's never found again, basically dooming her to the exact same fate.

So glad my boyfriend found your channel. We love playing these games together but we both have adhd and miss stuff so it's great to have a video to watch to cover anything we missed. We appreciate you!
This one was my favourite out of the first three because I think it's amazing how different our playthroughs are. Half of what is in your video never happened in my playthrough! Love a game where choices actually effect the outcome of our games.
At the ending of House of Ashes with Eric and Rachel stopping by a diner on a rainy night after getting married and off to their honeymoon, then the couple getting into a car accident, I couldn't shake this feeling that the diner is the same diner that the main character of Little Hope Andrew stop at before heading to his old town. So I decide to watch the scene where Andrew was at the diner and getting stop at the road block, and I came a theory and this is just a theory meaning it's never right but what if Andrew was there around the time Eric and Rachel were in that Car crash. While watching the video that Andrew was getting back on the bus, I notice that the ground and roads were wet like it just rain, then when Andrew was stop at the road block the officer told Andrew the reason that there a road block was because of then big accident, and Eric lost his leg in a car accident which could've been the same big accident that the Officer was blocking. But it's just a theory and couldn't never be right.
No it was not, the House of Ashes storyline after the Prologue was set in May 30, 2003, Little Hope storyline after the Prologue is set on May 27,2019, 16 years after that, that is why you can see the rest of the characters having smartphones halfway through to represent the present time. You can even check the wiki fandom. "After Prologue, Act 1 - On May 27, 2019[1], a small group from college (students Andrew, Angela, Taylor, and Daniel, and their professor John) are on a bus trip. As they drive through the woods of Massachusetts, the driver is forced to take a detour through the abandoned town of Little Hope. Before reaching the town, he spots a girl on the road too late and, trying to avoid her, causes a bus crash. Once the group comes to their senses, they notice that the driver has disappeared. The five begin discussing what to do, only to discover that they cannot turn back because of the fog, which brings the group back to where they left. Forced to enter the town, the group finds a bar and goes inside, hoping to find help. In the bar, they spot only a drinking man named Vince, who gives the group no information, causing them to continue their journey. On the way, Andrew and Angela fall behind and, upon discovering a strange straw doll, find themselves in 1692, where they encounter a girl named Mary and a hooded woman named Amy. Back in the present, the two tell the others what happened. At first, the trio doesn't believe them, but their doubts soon dissipate once they encounter Amy again and are shocked to see that she looks just like Angela. After what they saw, the five decide to split up to find a way out, with Andrew and John continuing down the road and Taylor and Daniel following the trail while Angela goes with one of the group. Unfortunately, both groups find nothing (though Andrew can find a gun) and soon regroup. Along the way, however, they are taken several times back in time. It turns out that Mary was confronted by Reverend Carver, who thought that she was a witch, causing the girl to accuse Amy of witchcraft. As a result, she was arrested, tried, and sentenced to execution, despite attempts of her husband Joseph, John's double, to protect Amy. Wanting to find out what will happen to Angela's double next, the five follow an unexplored road and reach a ruined bridge. The group decides to cross it one by one, with John, Andrew and Angela going first, but part of the bridge collapses, separating Daniel and Taylor from them. Moreover, the trio witnesses Amy's execution, followed by the Drowned Demon's attack in the present. The boys manage to escape while Angela escapes as well or is caught and killed by the demon." That scene from the diner was a way to tie in the stories together in the same world, as if they are all in a grand narrative. One accident doesn't connect to another, it was an isolated incident. Still, I could not believe how you could not see the smartphones, they were using them to call for help and to use as flashlights, they were as clear as day, and they were constantly using them after the crash till the end despite the whole true nature of the story in the end. You thought Andrew saw the future and knew what kind of cellphones people were going to use in the future? Perhaps you might get the next story connections right at some other game next time, if you research thoroughly first that is.
All of this can go in many different ways, even if you manage to save all main characters the side ones will have different fates depending on your choices.
I think the infected human do not turn in the winged monsters but into a human version of it because the cause of the change is a parasite. Like, on Earth, parasites do not change entirely the physical of its host, only change the inside and sometime lightly the outside. For example, we know that the -visible- features of the parasite are pointy rabbit teeth and spikes in the back. So, if the parasite invades a cow, the cow will gain pointy rabbit teeth and back spikes, but will not become a winged monster. With this, we can deduct that the wings and the eyeless head are features to the original species that were the monsters. Also, Mary's notes mentionned that the creatures were peaceful and great ingeneers before, and something made their empire fall. So, my theory is : Before, the creature were less ugly, with no teeth and back spikes, and were a great civilisation -maybe even great explorers. But one day, either only the ship we saw in Rachel's vision, either the whole civilisation got infected with some alien parassite, making the ship fall on earth. After the crash the creatures started to mutate, then kill each others in order to get blood. But since the blood of the creature wasn't good for the parasite, it decided to use the ability of its host to hibernate and wake up when good blood knock on the door.
Honestly I wish this game focused on the ancient civilization as opposed to the modern day. It would have been a much more compelling story to me if they had the game set as the plagues and everything was going on.
That should be one of there games something either Medieval or Renaissance era since i love the Gothic architecture. As clitches as it is a universal monsters game would be cool where you would have to survive the Wolfman, Dracula, and Frankenstein monster but with some sort of twist
Until Dawn had the strongest build-up to its major threat and its premise. The sanitorium was introduced at an appropriate time, and the cause of the wendigos was well-timed. Little Hope was the most disappointing so far, not because the story wasn't engaging or interesting, but because there wasn't anything mystical about it--it was just a case of MPD through survivor's guilt. It was a road-bump in comparison to how Until Dawn set us up with actual wendigos. Man of Medan was interesting, though rather unforgiving and tedious to get a satisfying conclusion. It meant you couldn't mess up the escape attempt, and you couldn't leave through the air lift. House of Ashes finally hit the beautiful mark of the wendigo-mythical allure, however its build-up was too slow for the major threat and worried too much on involving real-time political events and wasted too much time around the love-affair relationships (for my opinion). Additionally we could have had more involvement with the monsters and their 'warren' and more emphasis on the 'curse', but I know the game tried its best to fit a lot of content into the cracks. There are a lot of skips between scenes (in one scene standing up over someone, next scene kneeling beside them) which made it feel rushed and disjointed. The biggest strength in terms of mechanics, to me, was the major-fight sequences; I feel those were quite effective. If the story had just been about an archaeological military group that went to investigate the ruins once enemy territory was captured and THAT team came across this issue, I would have been more satisfied with the execution of the game. But I feel like there was too much being pushed into the game that could have been left ambiguous or harmless; political tensions, 'war is bad' motto, et cetera. All in all, I'm actually happier with this game than I was with Little Hope, and slightly happier than Man of Medan. There still has yet to be a worthy successor to Until Dawn, so I'm interested to see what they have set for the Hotel. Just a mass-killer that pulls a Jigsaw with a better plot is definitely something I'd be looking forward to. If not, then I can only assume that we'll actually have ghost hauntings instead of what we had with Little Hope and Man of Medan.
until dawn is it’s own thing that’s why none of these are comparable. the anthology are compact versions of until dawn so none of them will ever have as strong of a buildup because they are meant to be shorter

I thought the structures in the city sort of looked like massive landing boosters. There were about 8 wrapped around the outside of a huge middle column. They were on massive hydraulics and arms which is why I thought this. I guess the aliens landed there with that giant lander and started building a city. It’s pretty cool if you ask me.
Until Dawn was the best. But Little Hope's ending is great, at least there is a plot twist and we are not confronting aliens from another galaxy... Personally, House of Ashes is the worst.
@@blazz3178 understandable, but what carries House Of Ashes too is the "enemy of my enemy is my ally" theme. For me and a lot of people according to the other comment sections, Salim and his relation with the marines later on really makes the game better. In the first one, they're just a stupid bunch of friends, in the second, they're just... nothing (which is why the ending is really underwhelming, at least in Man Of Medan your friends were real, here I felt like I did literally the whole game for nothing). Here, you really feel that the persons that shouldn't collaborate can do in the end, and that the danger is real and forcing them to
@@blazz3178 When your plot twist is the writers going “Psych! The plot never happened haha!” You just wasted everybody’s time. Your entire adventure was meaningless, all the life or death decisions have no consequences. They had an interesting horror mystery tale going on but shoved it aside for a cheap plot twist that told us “Hey your protagonist just hallucinated the entire game and in reality, wandered around town looking like a retard”. At least when Man of Medan did it, their plot twist was ironic since you got kidnapped by Pirates looking for Manchurian Gold upon a haunted ship only to find out that the Gold wasn’t actually Gold but the name of a special gas that caused really bad hallucinations. Despite that, there’s still a real threat, people can die and you’re still trapped in the middle of the ocean instead of stumbling around town like a dipshit.
From what I understand, the creatures that came crashing down onto earth were initially not vampires. But after crash landing they came in contact with the parasite that turned them into those winged vampires. This change was hinted at in the expedition logs and explains the traces of fighting among the creatures.

In Little Hope Andrew aka Anthony finds a card where he see's how Rachel fell in House of Ashes. At the end of the game there is also the same Diner as in House of Ashes where Rachel and Eric stop by. And one thing more. In House of Ashes almost at the end is a cut scene - premonition (Hotel) where we see a woman watching an explosion on a TV. The vision is about a character that will be in the next game The Devil in Me. How cool is all this :-D
I did read somewhere that all titles inclusive Until Down are in the same Universe. Can't say for sure but maybe in the future they will explain it more, can't wait for The Devil in Me and other 4 titles :-D
When you play Little Hope It starts with the driver being stopped by a barricade by officers stating the driver should go use the other path because there was A BIG ACCIDENT. That accident is the Car Crash that took Eric's Leg in the year 2000 I think it was anthony who talked to rachel at the diner because at the end of Little Hope it ends at the same diner in the Morning. You can see Anthony standing there and maybe he stayed their and came across Rachel in the evening
Another fun little easter egg, is in a premonition towards the end (can't recall where exactly, but it's when they were still underground and maybe in the main temple room. I think I was Nick when I found it, but I'm not 100% sure). It shows a premonition from DPA's upcoming game 'The Devil In Me.' Can't wait for that one to be released later this year!

The parasites remind of the real world version that infects insects so that the insects could infect birds that eat the bugs. The aliens got infected and crash landed on earth so that the parasites could infect earth like they presumably did with the aliens home world
I wonder what the aliens thought, it would have been interesting to get more of their backstory. Why were they travelling, how did they come to our planet? They must have been afraid when they saw each other changing. Too bad there were no aliens left unchanged who could have helped them. Where did the parasite come from?

The Salim and Jason story is amazing and has shown how pointless war is they put their differences aside and work together to survive an evil greater than anything they could ever believe
It depends from you point of view. From the POV of people who started the war - it was great! Made them a lot of money ^^
Well usually the ones in the higher ups are huge crybabies and couldn't just let things slide
imo it shows more that humans are never more than reflexive barbaric animals who can only stop fighting each other when they find an external common enemy and shift aggression

I loved how the game defies expectations by making us think that Eric King would be the somewhat main focus of this Dark Picture game then to just suddenly have Salim and Jason steal the spotlight near the end.
Yeah, but Rachel sucked
Reminded me of the Falmor from Skyrim
Salim said in game that they were once a peaceful civilization of architects, and higher classes of being that communicated through sound. They changed one day, due to the parasite, and turned on each other. This the ending of the aliens’ invasion.
I don’t think they have built any structure underground. The whole cavity is just the crash site of their space ship. They were infected in space, thus the burning ship scene seen by Rachel.
@@ichigaikento They still would have been intelligent enough to build a space worthy ship
The best ending is everyone survived, don`t use the radio call for help so that Salim can go home to his son and not interrogate by US agents
Ohhh no way. I just played the game (finished once) so I'll have to try for that ending :)
Everyone survives.... that's a lame ass ending
i love how salim ended up being the most kind and beloved character from the game. i was kind of worried that the iraqi characters in the game would be demonized due to the setting and context, but the devs really let him shine.
So true, as someone from that region I had that same fear. I’m glad they portrayed him in a positive (and common) light
Lol come on. There was zero percent chance the guy from Iraq would be demonized in modern day entertainment. It’s was very predictable.

Well, we all know how the Americans repaid his gesture.
Yeah, heavy Descent vibes through this game. And Riddick

@@plumpero thats a good deduction from seeing a skull in the game where its front top teeth were broken from within. So I agree.
Considering that the next dark pictures game seems to imply the antagonist as a parasite/mimic type of creature from outer space, Cetus (which was mentioned in House of Ashes), this was a good guess. Let's see if you're right ince the next game releases.
The continuity in these games is incredible 4:01 the headline being "Manny Sherman Executed" tying into Devil In Me is fantastic
Omg wow yes that’s a teeny tiny detail, really good spot!
Its similar to a real life parasite that removes a fish’s tounge in order to replace it
If you watch the bonus scene talking about monster designs they talk about exactly that!
Salim and Jason’s friendship got me HYPE !

The boys manage to escape while Angela escapes as well or is caught and killed by the demon."
That scene from the diner was a way to tie in the stories together in the same world, as if they are all in a grand narrative.

The bromance between Salim and Jason is the best thing about this game.
So, my theory is :
Before, the creature were less ugly, with no teeth and back spikes, and were a great civilisation -maybe even great explorers.
Just beat this game. Had all 5 survivors at the end. Holy crap what a roller coaster!
I've been waiting for this after watching your playthrough.
If not, then I can only assume that we'll actually have ghost hauntings instead of what we had with Little Hope and Man of Medan.
until dawn is it’s own thing that’s why none of these are comparable. the anthology are compact versions of until dawn so none of them will ever have as strong of a buildup because they are meant to be shorter

this is probably my favorite of the dark pictures anthology so far
No joke, House of Ashes is better than medan&hope together😂😂
I thought the structures in the city sort of looked like massive landing boosters. There were about 8 wrapped around the outside of a huge middle column. They were on massive hydraulics and arms which is why I thought this. I guess the aliens landed there with that giant lander and started building a city. It’s pretty cool if you ask me.
Feels like with every game they are actually getting better at making more compelling stories, choices and outcomes!
Loving these videos, keep up the great work!
Untill dawn. And this are the best. Little hope was ruined by the ending. Man of mean is just mediocre yet fun.
Until Dawn was the best. But Little Hope's ending is great, at least there is a plot twist and we are not confronting aliens from another galaxy... Personally, House of Ashes is the worst.
Until dawn and house of ashes actually has monsters in it
@@iwoapwjcoejs yes but in Until Dawn there is also a killer, and we think he kills everyone before seeing the creatures, way better written story
I like how the one time we finally get all the guns we could want they are basically paperweight to the vampires
From what I understand, the creatures that came crashing down onto earth were initially not vampires.
But after crash landing they came in contact with the parasite that turned them into those winged vampires.
This change was hinted at in the expedition logs and explains the traces of fighting among the creatures.
3:50 Can't believe I just now noticed Nick's shirt sayings "CHICAGO" a hint to Devil in I. Just like Conrad's SALEM shirt was an easter egg to Little Hope 💚💙
The story at the start felt that just existed to create a parallel with Jason and Salim.
Salim was actually the only good guy there. the rest... had a change of heart after a while. but to hear Jason saying "i'd pick him rather than 5 of you f**kers" made me smile.
This is the best Dark Picture so far, I love it but now I'm even more than hyped for the next Dark Picture woooo🤩😍
Dunno how you prepared this so fast but bravo dude!
You are doing a great job at these videos man! Keep it up!
salim and jason were such amazing characters, and this is comparing them to previous dark picture games and even Until dawn
Just realized Rachel is Ashley Tisdale. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why she looked so familiar 😂
Sharpay Evans, Candace Flynn and Maddie Fitzpatrick herself!
I think the man in Little Hope that told Rachel that she'll never be happy again is
Antony because there was a premonition scene in the the Little Hope game that Antony saw Rachel rope being cut
If you don't radio for backup at all, salim gets the ability to walk free to find hid son, meaning someone gets out of "containmemt"
Tbh Little Hope was my favourite one…I honestly had no idea what was going on until the end and it had me in suspense the whole time. I never seen a similar story like that
I like that game because it’s relatable
@@Tuturial464 I didn’t find it relatable because I didn’t burn down my family in a fire and I’ve never seen hallucinations as vivid as our bus driver protagonist…but the story was extremely deep and metaphorical for what is going on inside his mind
Lmao what
What story? The plot never even happened according to the game. I thought it was pretty cool until the ending just decided to waste everyone’s time.
@@ChadHellgado every game is a waste of time
In Little Hope Andrew aka Anthony finds a card where he see's how Rachel fell in House of Ashes.
I hope its a shared universe but it could be possible they just throw in Easter Eggs to the next game there planning on doing
I did read somewhere that all titles inclusive Until Down are in the same Universe. Can't say for sure but maybe in the future they will explain it more, can't wait for The Devil in Me and other 4 titles :-D
This one is my favorite so far
Wow, 1 day after the game released now someone just uploaded the Story explained, big subs for you man, really helps my curiosity ;)
That fluid of immortality was what really caught my attention.
When you play Little Hope
It starts with the driver being stopped by a barricade by officers stating the driver should go use the other path because there was A BIG ACCIDENT. That accident is the Car Crash that took Eric's Leg in the year 2000
I think it was anthony who talked to rachel at the diner because at the end of Little Hope it ends at the same diner in the Morning. You can see Anthony standing there and maybe he stayed their and came across Rachel in the evening
the timeline doesn' ad up though
Eric and Rachel's accident happen in 2000
But the event of Little Hope take place in 2020...
Great video as always Harry!! thanks for this explanantion !! keep it up
Cool and well researched and explained. Impressive thanks 👏🙂
I would never play video games, but would always watch my brother and now my husband play. Everyone has always thought I was strange or lying that I didnt want to play but enjoyed watching. Now that I found your channel I can actually watch you play and you are playing the sort of games that I enjoy the most! I am working my way through your old videos and am loving every minute of them! I am glad I am not the only one who enjoys watching these great stories play out! See I am not the weird one after all...(laughs in a self righteous tone).
The link between this game and little hope was great. I wish they would have done more of this somehow.
I'm late to the party here but I wanted to say how much I love this game. It's just like watching a horror movie on a Saturday night .
Thank you for sharing, it is incredibly insightful and amazing. 😊 Great storytelling.
Excellent work my man.
Much appreciated!
I can’t believe all this shit happened because Merwin looked at the helicopter
Thanks for this! I had really ea Ted to know wha
T the "good" ending looked like! I really liked the mythology breakdowns, too! Just realy cool!
Great summary and analysis! How do you not have more subscribers?!?
i've never seen that kind of ending from the youtubers/streamers i watched, wth its so cool
The parasites remind of the real world version that infects insects so that the insects could infect birds that eat the bugs. The aliens got infected and crash landed on earth so that the parasites could infect earth like they presumably did with the aliens home world
You’ve been on UA-cam for a year and you’ve got over 15,000 subscribers! I don’t know what your secret is man, but keep up to success!
Such a good story. Way better than their new game quarry. Quarry is so stereotypical. Can’t wait for the devil finale to release.
This was my favorite installment in the anthology so far.
I swear Jason and salim must be related to Hercules or something with how much carrying they had to do throughout this game
I wonder what the aliens thought, it would have been interesting to get more of their backstory. Why were they travelling, how did they come to our planet? They must have been afraid when they saw each other changing. Too bad there were no aliens left unchanged who could have helped them. Where did the parasite come from?
In my mind they just got the Prometheus plot and crash landed on earth
