Seeing an ISU-100 flank 2 Super Pershing's makes me wonder why noone has headphones in this game.
I have
Having headphones in war Thunder is basically one of the most important things you should have
Maybe our game sounds don't work
what is a ISU-100?
Are you talking about ISU-152 or SU-100?

this video has shown me that the average WT player has the situational and audio awareness of a block of cheese
I never listen to audio.
You can run with a Maus behind ne and if I don't turn the camera I wouldn't notice.
Hey don't do blocks of cheese that dirty
that is offensive!

You can compare as much as you like, make films about brave American heroes. But. The truth is different. The truth is in the facts. And the fact is that it was Russia (USSR) that won the Second World War. The United States entered the war only in 1944, when Germany was already retreating.
Plot for the scoop if the players on amers had hearing: 📉📉📉
I wonder how challenges like these, or even the game as a whole would change if there was a “commander” type role. Somebody who’s job is to look over the battle as a whole as can give out orders to people in response to changing conditions. The game is designed to be far more casual than this, but I think the possibilities could be interesting.
Commander has access to artillery strikes and maybe AI attacker plane call ins. They can also issue attack/defend orders that players can follow for small SL/RP gains.
In regards to this challenge, it just seemed like there was some coordination, but also a fair bit of individual action that lead to gaps in defense that turned into overwhelming flanks against the Americans. That’s just an observation from the video however, and it may be very different on any potential discord/team speak calls going on. I kinda figured the soviets would win, it just also felt like there were points where the American defense fell apart when it could have been salvaged. Then again, mixing the teams each round does support Soviet superiority here.
Interesting challenge. Looking forward to the next one.
That would actually be a dope game mode
Perhaps as a seperate gamemode
I aint reading allat
That would require randoms to be willing to take orders lmao. Just imagine it, commander would say "you go over here" and that person doesn't feel like sacrificing themselves so they don't follow the order lol
@@Joze1090 True, it would. I'm not saying this should become a standard feature, but that's also why I added the rp/sl reward aspect to incentivize following orders.
Now there are other games that have this concept implemented in some fashion. Hell let loose, squad, probably a couple others I can't recall off the top of my head (I think battlefield did something adjacent to the idea in 4). In the end, this would likely be a separate game mode for people to do challenges like this, and/or for random matches where people know what they are getting into.
To be fair, I'm rather surprised the US managed to win even a single round with those BR placements
USA mains shpwing they need to actualy learn to play the game.
Seriously. Iv grinded germany, USA, russia, france, sweden, and italy in that order. USA is by far the worst. Their guns are alaays shit for their BR till the post war era.
I know I'm late but dog I swear I saw a guy on the US using stock AP in one of his tanks I never saw anything other than APHE or KV-2 he being used. Does nobody have their shit vetted before joining this shit? I know Russia has APHEBC or just APHEC stock and that's it, but still it's APHE not just AP, I'd have forgiven it had it at least been APCR cause then it's got something going for it. Literally went back to check and it's at 13:23 he's a Jumbo 76 and he's got stock AP, I understand limiting some rounds to a certain amount, but he had nothing but stock AP in his tank. Like yeah, how was US meant to win any of this when we got shit like this in the match?
same thought, I just pray before every game with America as an ally

The IS-3 is kinda OP for the time. Esp considering IRL it prob had massive metal quality control issues that it doesnt in game. Same with the T-44.
Давайте ещё ходовую часть сделаем как в реальности ломалась. И чтоб башня ломалась от своего же выстрела под неправильным углом.
Some is3 withstood 105mm apds in real life
0:58 That was me!!!! Thanks so much Muffin!
I'd love to see an m22 versus like bt2 bt5 and bt7 and bt7m variance
I have to say it, this is literally just historical battles, but with wider br range lol. great vid thank love your work
I was hoping to see more of the USA's heavies, like the Super Pershing and up armoured Pershing. Sad that the US T34 was made in 1945, woulda been fun to see.
Idk if I saw a T30 in the mix or a T34 T29
@@The_winterFox T34 was the production tank, T30 may have been a 1945 prototype but idk.
I dont think the jumbo M26 existed in 1945. I think it was designed in the korean war.
It was already established the Soviets would win
If every Soviet player ran a Self Propelled gun from 1944-1945 they would of won against the Americans in a 1 on 1 tank fight

I gotta say that this is the closest thing we can have to a Girls Und Panzer match. Hope to see more of these ww2 countries tanks go against each other.
I was watching the video and it felt like I was watching a GuP episode xD
Do 1975 Soviets vs 1975 NATO please, with only tanks that saw active service (so no KPZ 70)
18:02 Very common footage of a m22 using 0,0001% of its full power
wait, was't IS 4m built in 1945?
upd: I have checked wikipedia and it says the production started in 1946, my bad
it’s ok the us players used the t32 which i guess technically it was ww2 approved since they accepted the design in march of 1945 but the first pilot model was finished in 1946
Just like T95, T29, T34, T30.
i feel like a team of IS-2s would be terrifying
its only because of the IS 7 and 6 and 4 and 3
i always hate competitions like this, that don't truly represent how land combat or mobile warfare unfolded. not your fault, of course, the fault is squarely to be placed on shoddy game design
Glad you took my idea man 😎 really loved the video
Hehe I was the one who knocked out that Katyusha on the east side of the Advance to the Rhine map in the final round, turns out 15cm AP shells from T30s cause a bit of overpressure and shrapnel.
If I played this game for the US, I would use the Super Pershing to hide and then immediately turn my turret to shoot the person who clearly didn't notice the barrel of the gun sticking out. Lol.
I like that there's a lot of people crying in the comments because the americans lost lol
US players are easily the whiniest in the game. It's never their fault they lost, it's always russian bias, or undertiered german tanks, or an unfair competition, etc etc.
Man I'd love to participate in a Japanese vs America pacific style version.
Seems like it's commander error more than the tech. How the f--k didn't the T-44-100 see the Pershing? lol
If this was a bit more historically accurate, the soviets would have 3 times as many tanks as the Americans.
The replay system really puts a damper on these videos. Its not as engaging when everything is sliding around and shots look like they would have missed but still connect.
have to say, love watching these types of challenges. As a warthunder gamer myself, great to see cool types of battles like these on youtube! Haha, I will say, if you get the chance to read my comment, have an interesting challenge for you and the community of tankers you have that do these battles. Israel, American, and British Tanks against Russian Tanks that fought in the 6-day war or in the Arab-Israeli. I know Israel is a hard tech tree to follow but to see those tanks along with the American and British versions of the tanks versus their cold war adversary From the Soviet Union would be cool. Plus having the battles in the desert maps, could be something to try!
Thank you and you should post your idea on the ideas channel on my discord server so people can vote on it
@@ThunderWithMuffin Sounds good, I shall do that right now!!
Super Pershing as a 1945 tank is a bit generous.
It also helps that Russian guns in this game get to 1 tap just cuz they looked at you sideways.
The advantage of using 122mm shells. The disadvantage is a 20+ second reload.
war thunder could be such a good strategy game...
Thats russan Bias at its best
Average war thunder player when a russian tank kills another tank
Awesome vid! Can you do something similar but with Rank 1 vehicles?
It's not about tank, it's about player except IS3.
great video and glad usa made a comeback in the end. seeing the m22 and bt that would make a great video, bt7 vs m22
using a different map negates the outcome of round 2
The absolute blood bath these battles would've been in real life.
I’m pretty sure half of these tanks wouldn’t even be used in combat, especially US heavies as they were test prototypes were with only a few built.
The thing I noticed in the first round is that the americans just largely fucked off and did whatever. Meanwhile the USSR guys were sticking together and picking off the US one by one
when is the next video
I’m surprised no US players used a M36B2
I think it gives a lot up tiers cause the heat and it’s br rating so I don’t use it
Yeah I kinda expected Soviet to win with their massive oneshot APHE doom cannons and most having excellent armor at that tier. T-44-100 is practically an MBT ffs. Its just a slightly worse T-54 at that point.
America could have won if they were more organized
Of course the soviets we're gonna win on Stalingrad
Plot amour was on lol
Cold war U.S. vs Cold War Soviets?
T95???
Excellent stuff. Gimme more !!
Do one about German vs American aa guns preferably WW2
So modern russian tanks vs 1945 american tanks?
why no is-7? im sure it was made like a few weeks after WWII ended but doesnt it still count as 1945? or would it be balance issue? (or rarity)
I was surprised no one used the T-54 since the first prototype was finished at the end of 1945
I was hoping for the is7
likely a balance issue, maybe not in warthunder but if it was real life, it would most definitely be a balance issue.
IS-7 was a cumstain on a napkin in 1945. It was actually built in the late 40's. We have the last mod, circa1949 plus, easily told by the KPVT mounted, which did not go into service until then. IS-7 would not have been ready until the 50's anyway, lol. Soviet's did that project dirtier than hard R's. At that point you are talking at least T43 pilot and Conqueror Mk1.
The T-54 would lack the fancy ammo, and the prototype would be a fat T-44. Earliest T-54 we have is the mod 1947 using, I suspect, much later ammo.
@@evilnigga68 Defo a balance issue in WT too.... IS-7 is a pain in the butt to kill with anything that isn't modern...
I know because I have an IS-7. If you're shooting it front-on with AP, good luck
All kv2 tanks were destroyed by 1943
Then why does one still exist?
Love the videos man
this is awesome with no heat involved
I wonder how the t32e1 would of fared

@@Russiagaming720 traitor.
@@Russiagaming720 nvm, I just realized where your ass is from
Do Germany and ussr
I feel like the superpershing is basically the American equivalent of the IS2
Edit: I don’t think these types of competitions are even true, first of all the amount of possibilities are nearly endless.
Second it also depends on the players and environment for example
Any hilly terrain
Most likely American tanks as they have better gun depression and handling
Ex2: flat terrain: most likely soviet as their guns hit harder and usually better in that area.
It also doesnt factor in production capabilities or russias horrid build quality and steel quality in WWII.
Most stronger heavier US tanks here were only prototypes. The soviet ones not. So they wouldnt have a chance in rl. Maybe with using massive airpower. But it wouldnt be easy
The IS-3 is also the IS-3m not the original WWII design. Also russia in WWII had horrid build and steel quality standards. So a lot of their tanks had brittle armor that would easly be penetrated.
@@robertharris6092 i am Sure their armor was good enough to drive na berlin with it. Also they collected and repaired/reused about 70% of their shotdown tank wrecks
Can you do a video with the strv 102 or a other version against ww2 tanks?
That T-95 actually wasn't made in WW2 but after the war in a Test to find how Super Heavy Tanks work 🤓
I think USA get dead barrel easier 'cause there front is too strong, so people try to play it as bully, barel, wheels or chenille... And then flank to kill easy
Why are you describing Germany for the American tanks? Also the Russian tanks had better armor overall throughout their tanks. Only certain ones were better, like the super Pershing or the doom turtle
Kinda missing the game play, the challenges are getting boring
Gameplay as in when I used to just play and record with commentary?
@@ThunderWithMuffin Yes, I think a mixture of gameplay and challenges will have a good contrast on the channel.
Just seeing and listening to someone else planning their next move while playing war thunder kinda helps me learn more about positioning and tactics to use
I think a mix of the two would be nice
@@acearrow1463 interesting, I didn’t think anyone cared about my gameplay vids because they’d only average 1k-2K views and according to UA-cam’s analytics everyone would drop off from watching them only being 30-60 seconds in to them, whereas the challenge vids average 40k-100k views and most people watch until the end. UA-cam’s analytics were telling me my gameplay vids were boring and to think of some different to do.
@@ThunderWithMuffin I think the challenges cater more to the casual wt audience whereas the gameplay attracts more hardcore players

Oh, I see. Serial tanks of the USSR in 1943-1945 against American prototypes of 1946 and older years of production. What do T95, T34, T30 do in the video? And why, in this case, is there no IS-4, IS-6, IS-7? If you already called the video 1945 USA VS 1945 USSR, then in this case the USA can only have Super Pershing.
T95 was like 43.
Woah
At this time only seen the first round. The american team, are they deaf? 😂😂
I don’t think they were using headphones
I smell Russian bias
Can you do USSR vs Sweden to pretend a russian cold war invasion of sweden. T62 and t54 vs strv103 and bkan or smth like it
There should be more fights against British tanks
Like British vs soviets
British players are bankrupted for a longtime now lol
When i said ussr win usa by shoot it by side tank
Can anyone name the tanks on each team on the first round?
USA: T26E5, T30, A couple of big forehead event vecs idk the name I just call them forehead tanks. Some 76mm M4 Sherman's, M18s, M22, Calliope and M26.
USSR: T44, T44 100, IS3, IS2 (multiple variants), T34. IMO, unfair matchups. 5 T44 100s and 2 IS3s could make easy work of that American team.

The fact that all of the US players we’re playing like absolute idiots no offense if you we’re playing in this or not and the fact the the Russian team just completely dominated every game is kinda sad seeing how I am a us maine and am only grinding on Russia now and there tanks honestly kinda suck with longer reloads then the us counter parts especially in cases where it’s a T-34 heavy vs an IS2 or IS3 having reloads of about 20 seconds and the T-34 T-29 having reloads of about 15 I wondered why they kept a backing off and especially Pershing vs T-44 the Pershing has much better armor if you know how to actually angel the tank and make the armor better I’ll just say this for all German and American players for low tier go for turret shots on T-44 tanks and IS-3 4 & 6 bull shots for T-34 russian tanks all variants with a 76mm apcbc or higher pin if not playing American also always shoot their left side of their turrets and tank destroyers that’s where their gunners sit and that usually creates a win sense no bonds ever seems to tell us how to destroy Russian tanks in that game only American and German ig hope you guys enjoyed the fun facts and hope you learn something from this and win your next encounter with a Russian tanker

"Best tanks" on paper
@@chaosacsend9653 Only these "tanks on paper" Berlin took in contrast to the "paper tanks" of the United States
This video is badly flawed due to the factors not considered. The US considered tanks as infantry support rather than optimising them for tank vs tank engagements. Their guns were easily capable of taking out Soviet armour, though.
US tanks were more reliable, had better ergonomics, and better gunsights.
Also ignored is the US adoption of combined arms warfare and the disparity in air power. The Red air force was in no way capable of taking on the USAAF, particularly at high altitudes.
Soviet aviation was so useless that it shot down American aircraft over Berlin without any problems when they defiantly refused to discuss with Marshal Zhukov the order of flights over the Soviet zone.
