Big ups for asking the hard questions when speaking to Old Town. The ePdl was such a bad move. We need more options to outfit the sportsman line with motors. Seems like Vibe and Hobie understand that where Old Town doesn’t want to.

@aliex flogueira you should have asked about the fire proof sodium ion battery's--- the lithium ion battery is basically a rocket thruster just waiting for a puncher or damage or internal dendrite growth shorting it.. lithium ion sucks for safety and at least on land you can run away but on water for a kayak if your battery bursts onto flame your going for a swim and to possibly be shark food look for sodium ion battery's even if they hold less power they don't burn it is just sodium
Please make this in the 120 or preferably in the 106. Need something lighter and smaller for us older people. Kayaks are all about the convenience of loading and unloading in and out of a vehicle and space to store in the garage.

so when do these new kayaks just turn into microskiffs? 170 lbs without gear makes it difficult to launch at kayak entry points. obviously carrying these in trucks becomes unlikely so a trailer is necessary. is it better to just get a carolina skiff 13 (salt water) or small jon boat (freshwater) used for a cheaper price? stick a 25 on it and it gets you to your fishing spot much quicker than any yak. i've had at least one yak in my possession since 88 and for me it is really just getting out there on the water. exercise (other than lugging a behemoth down to the water) is also a big thing for me. i have switched to pedal kayaks in the last few years, makes fishing a lot easier and is fun as well. i don't know, what do you guys think about going to mammoth kayaks that can't really be paddled or pedaled?
Been very happy with my Amped Outdoors lithium 16.8v 32ah battery. That one battery runs my kayak electronics for around 14 hours on average a 10" Garmin echomap Ultra 106sv, LVS34 system & Steady cast heading sensor. That's roughly 14 hours with everything on both transducers. So if you turned one of them off it probably run a lot longer

You don't need a license, but you do need to register your like like it was a boat, here in Florida is cheap like $70 one time, then twenty something a year

wish they would bring out a law that stops kayak fisherman from stringing their catch outside the kayak in the water. we are having a serious problem with sharks now associating kayaks with a free lunch. beautiful sport getting dangerous unnecessary.

Kayak is simply one of the best tools to get the job done, adding the right motors to the right kayak, makes this tool 100x times more effective. If i wanted to work out, i would go to the gym! Also casting for 8 hous straight is more work than paddling lol 😆 I save my energy for the cast and the fish

Titan X is a boat you have to pedal and need a trailer to launch.

the TitanX 12 is my dream.
For me, the uptown 100 is the winner. I just wish they did a 12 or 13 foot option.

I'm not sure about inflatable kayaks with such expensive prices are worth it, mostly due to the life span.
