But you're gonna notice every scenario that Ulta is going have a tad more detail, just a tad more if you zoom in and nick pick. So I ordered plus!

@DTD ๛mòhamad To me, it IS about storage. I would rather have 512 ssd and 512 SDcard, so if the phone freezes, breaks, whatever happens, I have my photos backed up and available instantly. i did it. ive preordered the s22 . the small one. i dont like that the small one has less nits, and the camera is not that good as the ultra, but i like small phones. hope these companies will will start to make top tier small phones again, dont know why they dont do it. im willing to pay extra for a phone that is like the flagship only in smaller size.the reason i bought the small one is because i have a pixel 4xl wich i use for work, but needed something newer more compact. hope at least is as good as the google.
Small phones are underrated. As someone who carries things and moves things around a lot having a 6.4-6.8 inch phone is very uncomfortable sure someone will say leave the phone in the office. I like doing repairs and sometimes I need a flashlight. My S8 is portable and does not interfere with any of this. Ergonomics and OS updates are now my priority.

One big downside :-( which was always a good selling point for me is the Samsung Galaxy S-22 no longer has expandable memory (Micro SD Card slot) in all the models. Samsung offer 4 models in the Ultra series 128GB/8GB £1149, 256GB/12GB £1249, 512GB/12GB £1329 and 1Tb/12GB £1499. The 12GB Ram versions of the phone are all the same apart from internal memory. The price difference between them is unjustified. If they had kept the SD card slot there would be no need to get a 1TB phone as the cost of a 512GB Micro SD card on Amazon is approx £68 instead of a cost of £170 difference between the 512GB and 1TB OR 256GB version with a 512GB Micro SD card would give you a 768GB phone for £1317. A simple fix of a Micro SD card slot would of kept the model range simpler thus reducing a lot of variation in costs. Maybe by producing two versions they may of kept the overall cost of the handset down.
Yeah. This makes me want to NEVER upgrade to a NEWER PHONE because I like smaller versions and the SD card slot was the BIGGEST selling point for me too. Not upgrading to a bigger phone when I got my nice s20 with a curved edge too. This is just sad.

"1300 is respectable and pretty bright...." I am replacing a Note 9 with one of these, and the max brightness is listed as 710 Nits, which is blinding to look at in most settings. I can't even imagine what nearly twice that looks like, nor can I imagine anyone would have needed more than 710.

Never been a fan of how the Note feels on the hand. I'm happy for Note fans! It honestly looks like a great phone, but, personally, I am done with the Ultra series moving forward. Curved displays are a negative for me as well. I forgave the S21 Ultra because its curved display is very minimal. Looks like the S22 Ultra definitely increased those curves. I'd like to stick to premium phones, so I'm going to stick with my S21 Ultra until the iPhone 14 is revealed.

When you do the full review, please check the GPS accuracy. I currently have an S20+, and my 2 year contract ends this year. Unfortunately, I have the Snapdragon version instead of the Exynos version, and the Snapdragon 865 has terrible GPS accuracy. I'm getting tired of using my phone as a navigator, and watching the navigator app recalculate my route while I am traveling in a straight line or sitting at a stop light. If the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has better GPS accuracy than the Snapdragon 865, then that's a reason to upgrade. However, if the GPS accuracy is just as bad, then I would rather keep my S20+ because it has an SD card. None of the reviews of the S20 line mentioned the terrible GPS accuracy. Had I known, I would not have purchased this model.
Pre Ordered the S22 Ultra 256GB in Phantom Black, from what I've seen upto now it's a massive improvement in low light compared to the S21 Ultra decided rather than trade in my S21 Ultra I'm going to sell it, as I want to test out the Exynos 2200 first before i sell my S21 Ultra if performance is poor then I'll return the S22 Ultra & stick with my S21 Ultra for another year.

@@alexc7864 I'm all about seeing things with my own eyes and not assuming, so I want physical evidence that's going to be the case. If I'm investing money for a phone, a few days won't hurt. I like to be very thorough when buying technology. I'm also very serious about my pictures
@@cats9178 yeah and I actually saw another video just comparing the plus and Ulta's camera, which confirm that it's the case that it's the same across except zoom capability. All the night shots, videos, portraits are same as ultra in terms of white balance, exposure, and HDR. But you're gonna notice every scenario that Ulta is going have a tad more detail, just a tad more if you zoom in and nick pick. So I ordered plus!
I loved the ultra more but I just cant commit to the size, its inconvenient and uncomfortable to have such a large phone. I wish the plus offered the same camera as I feel like I'm losing out going with the smaller size but it makes more sense for me.
Same here! Really wish they offered the ultra in the size of the S22+!
Yes, I agree, I am tired of big phones with best features, popsockets/rings/coverholder are so unnatural to hold. I settled on the S22 for compact size, but it has 4 years of OS updates so not complaining. I am not looking to switch phones until when they offer 5 updates.
I have a note 10+ and I'm honestly looking to get a smaller phone, it's soo uncomfortable for photography as it always feels like it's gonna drop, and and I can't type properly cos the keyboard is soo big
@@xSabir-hc7wj Not to mention in pockets, jacket pockets, you feel it while moving things, carrying things. It gets in the way for a lot of things. S22 is called compact because its 6.1, its S20 and slightly bigger than S8. I love the feel of s22 and OneUI Good lock app allows me to never reach very high with my thumb and typing is very comfortable. Camera wise I feel more comfortable taking photos with s22 but I got a temper glas son the screen and a phone case. I may consider getting a lens protector but wil lhave do research.
Yeah me too. Its so big and bulky to hold

@@sinverrette9803 I went for the cost effective A53 because none of the 22´s I could get from the shop have micro sd card expansion and were only 128 Gb storage(the bigger ones was sold out), my 3/4 full sd card is 128Gb and my s8+ that I´m replacing has 64Gb so I would need at minimum 256Gb storage if I could not keep using my sd card. I do not game, make videos or take professional photos so the Samsung A53 ticked all boxes I need for daily use and at a 1/4 the cost. Would I have liked the s22 ultra? You bet, but only for the cool factor and the bragging rights not to cover and exede my needs like the A53 do.
