Not only Poison but also Dark. aside from the Raidons Ogrepon, and Terapagos, your typical legendary dragon types or Type Change types, the legendaries have either been part Dark or Poison. It's nice to see 2 of the pokemon types with the fewest legendary or mythical pokemon get a few more.
ikr? poison seems way too underrated because they were always just used by the evil teams. and I feel like secondary poison types are always overlooked. I'm really thinking about just creating a pure poison type team for the story in the next gen and not just afterwards
A little monster turning the people you care about into mindless pawns should be somewhat scary, but that scariness is getting heavily balanced out by them busting a move and yelling mochi.
According to the lore, Pecharunt's poison draws out and amplifies the desires of whoever ingests it, with the effects becoming more powerful over time. And if the loyal three are any indicator, it also grants power to achieve those desires. Nemona wasn't breaking through Pecharunt's control, but rather her battle mania was being exacerbated by it. Just imagine how much crazier and stronger she would have gotten if she had continued to dope on the mochi.
Everyone is talking about Nemona’s battle lust weakening her possession, mean while Nurse Joy missed the apocalypse because she was too busy scrolling through her phone.

you can tell how much fun the composers had with this battle theme. This whole epilogue was great, i really liked that everyone basically acted like a zombie, and to be honest there were some times when I was a little creeped out, especially when Arven and Penny turned their head at you and Keiran and started to walk towards you in the cutscene. Kind of felt like no one was safe from Peacharunt.

I hope they keep this level of character writing; I'm gonna miss our Paldea and Kitakami friends.
Honestly, I was glad and surprised to see a great mixture of Michael Jackson's Thriller and the "Perfume : A Murderer's Tale" in a single game battle format. It's a great way to show off everyones personality and let Kieran, now not being an edgelord, shine without his Sister. Arven got defencive about the new BF Kieran, Kieran got a chance to shine and be happy, Penny proved to be best girl still & Nemona proved she has a single track mind that not even mind control can throw off. Love the writing and music. Brilliant work!

Fun fact: in the battle to catch this damn peach, if you throw out Oregepon you get a little neat detail! It’s orgepon yelling or whatever “they don’t like this peach and they want them gone NOW”
You know, this part of the game is similar to the Dancing Epidemic of 1518. This was an actual historical event that happened in a region of what is now modern France. It all started when one woman started dancing out of nowhere and it soon spread throughout the entire village, this wasn't a dance craze, however, the people of the village had lost control of their bodies, dancing uncontrollably! To this day there are historians and doctors still trying to determine its cause.
I'm convinced Penny being both a theatrical Team Star Kid, and Anime watcher, All combined to her putting her all into the dance like some Pop Idol, SHE'S EVEN SWINGING HER HIPS AROUND XD Also poor Arven didn't want to look silly, and even under mind control still caring about his pokemon saying "lil bud"
(I’ma continue.) But do I blame them? No. If I was beaten so many times by some person I met, in so many encounters, even with a team that is a viaable VGC team (Kieran go brrr)? I’d be a bit irritable at night too.
Nemona probably wakes up in the middle of the night, and proceeds to beat up a random punching bag, and then go right back so sleep. She craves violence

I love that mischievous laugh at 0:26 it really shows how yes, this whole situation is very very odd to the point of goofiness but there's something sinister behind it (if it wasn't already obvious from the purple glow and the seeming absence of consciousness)
just think -- you're one of the MC's friends going to kitakami for the first time, and your first introduction to your friend's friend's sister is just her suddenly doing the damn chicken dance and screaming about mochi. you'd probably have to wonder if your first thought would be branches touching in the family tree
I can understand why people might be disappointed with the epilogue, but this was so funny. Arven trying to resist the control and maintaing some of his dignity, penny unleashing her dance skills and nemona not giving a damn about being possesed because she was going to fight us either way. These goofy goobers are imho the best friend group pokemon has made until this point. There are lots of reasons to criticise these games, but characters and and story are not one of them.
This is the stepping stone for official horror in mainline Pokémon games. Calling it now. The pokedex entries were just mere descriptions, while we’re gonna experience horror in real time one day. Very, very soon.

This whole event felt like a love letter to the Poison type. I loved it so much considering it's my favorite type.
Same, but with Ghost type
ikr? poison seems way too underrated because they were always just used by the evil teams. and I feel like secondary poison types are always overlooked. I'm really thinking about just creating a pure poison type team for the story in the next gen and not just afterwards

I love how Nemona's lust for battle is just too powerful for her to be completely corrupted by Peacharunt. She's just too crazy.
Peacharunt rooting for you to win so it didn't have to deal with Nemona's fight cravings
Pecharunt: Peh... cha-cha-cha... Pecha! (She's... a complete battle maniac! Help!)
I think that can be a barometer for insanity. If you sound like yourself when possessed, you're insane.

I just realized where I've heard the string at 0:10 that repeats throughout. It's also in the Silver Surfer (NES) title screen theme by Tim Follin!
you can tell how much fun the composers had with this battle theme.
I can tell how much fun the whole team had here. The writers, the animators, the composers... This was a hilarious time in between the heartwarming friendship moments, and after all the gravitas of Area Zero and the DLCs it was a welcome change. I was laughing so much throughout this. I hope they keep this level of character writing; I'm gonna miss our Paldea and Kitakami friends.
Honestly, I was glad and surprised to see a great mixture of Michael Jackson's Thriller and the "Perfume : A Murderer's Tale" in a single game battle format. The laughter track was a clear sign that Pecharunt was toying around with our patience and our emotions. But the chicken dance ? THAT WAS SO ON SPOT !

It’s orgepon yelling or whatever “they don’t like this peach and they want them gone NOW”
The Loyal Three also get special dialogue with Pecharunt. You should see how pissed Pecharunt is for their betrayal.
