So Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.46 is here!
The fourth content update for GT7 of 2024 has arrived bringing 3 new cars, 3 new events, 1 extra menu and more!
So for this this video of Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.46 I'm bringing you my initial thoughts and opinions on the 3 new cars the issues they face in world of GT7.

There is tension between the devs and Sony from what I’ve heard. The devs want to make a game while Sony just wants to use GT as a virtual tech demo/billboard for car partnerships and advertising. They don’t give a shit because they do t need us to make money. They already sold their units. They’re getting paid by the car manufacturers and brands. Why do you think it’s called Brand Central and a bunch of brands that don’t have cars??? GT is just a billboard at this point

Well this sucks. Maybe that's why gran turismo was better when it was smaller.
Sony is in charge of many of decisions, pd cant just do what they want to do, be sure that its Sony that force pd to dripfeed updates microtransactions, pd have a lot of more content but are not allowed to release it, but some needs to be saved for the next game to, but if pd was in charge we would have bigger updates,

It’s awesome just like in real life! I owned a chevelle in high school. I was truly the king of the streets.

Kaz has reached the age where he does not care anymore what anybody says or thinks. He will do what he wants to do. The last updates are proof of that.
And tbh, it's fine. The only reason that he started gran turismo is because he was unsatisfied with anything else. Maybe one day a new kaz is unsatisfied with what's avalable and we will see a new gran turismo.
I liked the drag spoiler they put on the Chevy. Wish they could make that for the other cars aswell
I genuinely hate the AFEELA with a passion. I've never been so frustrated with a car so quickly, which is a shame since it looks pretty cool. The Chevelle actually drives the best of this set for me.
Aside from the crap brakes, the afeela is fine. The chevelle drives like a boat (any other muscle car drives like a boat too)
@@rickrolled7930 that's probably it tbh; I drive with a focus on drifting most of the time, and it just gets on my nerves coming out of corners.

@@rickrolled7930 it drives way better then a boat, and will out drive a hellcat in game do to its handling, its the second best handling muscle car in game after you put wide tires and the wing on it

We need more roads & new tracks as well always 3 cars give us like 7 cars & 7 new tracks
I get that theyre pushing cars as a comercial but push real cars then. I like that skoda came but give me a real rally or street car not a car that Ill never see in my life,exept a toy probably or in game

Hey mate, I know it's sort of late in the game, but I'll ask anyway. Do you see gt7 ushering in say the polestar Volvo for Gr4 (here in Australia, they raced using the polestar V8,500hp) and perhaps the KIA Stinger?

I would live to drive the Ring in Zolder/Belgium.
Perhaps a few little nice cars like:
VW Golf/Rabbit 2 G60
Ford Capri 2.3
BMW E21 323i
E46 and e90 sedan diesels are what we need and this is my totaly unbiased balkan opinion (those things are like f150s here, you find them eveywhere and i would like to have them in the game)

It cost the same as the enjoyment and value it provided; zero. So why bother? Waste of Polyphony and our time. People have every right to complain.
@@flansburgh1100 true but complaining about something you didnt earn or pay for sounds alot like entitlement. Things could be worse GT7 could have gone the same route as Star Citizen. Image having to pay money for every car only to be able to race on 3 tracks. Just saying. And I have every right to point out whiners.🤡 🤡

The same place where sebring, silverstone, imola and hockenheim are. Somewhere out there in real life, or in gt10 if we're lucky.

Probably a contract thing where these manufacturers signed an agreement way back when to have their cars appear in game. Their car is the “star” of the update, and doesn’t have to compete against other cars if they release 10-15 cars at a time. Think of it as a commercial or product placement.

Disappointed with the Chevelle sound, it was so awesome in the garage and so meh when driving

That is basically how it is with most muscle cars, really hope they make them sound wilder and more powerful in next game
@user-iy6nu8np5k I think most of the other muscle cars are fine, it's just that the Chevelle loses all beefy bass and kind if sounds like an angry V6
i wish cars sounded exactly like in the garage, without any weird tuned muffled modification

Rant OOPDATE
New to gt7 and scratching my head on why it would take how many years to implement the Chevelle into a racing game....smh.
Not to mention the fact you have to pay to race other people online.
The play station plus has been like that for a long time ......

Because, as I've said in other videos, PD needed to find a mint condition, factory spec Chevelle, and fly it to their studio to scan the car and capture audio. Do you understand how incredibly difficult that is? How expensive that is? I'd rather them have perfectly accurate models than just get them close like other games.
@@andreasmoller9798a lot of the cars were taken from gt sport and gt6. The premium models in gt6 are still being used in gt7, which is fine because the car models are still impeccable. But for a lot of cars no they don't need to start from scratch. Otherwise why would they add an audi tts from 2009 rather than any new audi tts rs? Building from scratch actually takes a lot of time yes. But if gt7 wants to be serious they should keep improving on the premium models from gt6 when there is downtime on game content. There's nothing wrong with recycling car models when they're genuinely fantastic
@@euphoriaggaminghdonly the premiums they brought to gt sport was like that, the ones they brought to gt7 is even higher in quality, and the Chevelle was never a premium it was a standard car in both gt5 and gt6, but yes u agree they should focus more on bringing gt6 premiums into gt7 to boost car updates a bit, but its not like they are just ported over they make improvments to the models, but the premiums dosen’t need to be built from scratch,
I actually liked Afeela, both looks and how it drives.
I'm sorry to provide a dissenting opinion; as nice as the AFEELA looks, I HATE how it drives. I'm a lot more of a drift driver, and this thing just DOES NOT ACCELERATE. It was so infuriating that when I filmed a clip for it, I got so fed up that I ended up just beating the crap out of the AI with it. 😂
@@jabrark5828 I did the same with ai race because they kept bumping into my beautiful afeela 🤣🤣
It does look really nice! I will probably use it as a base for some new livery. I just think it's a bit underpowered for an EV (USP of EVs are their blinding speed) and it's a bit too heavy to really throw around a track. It just feels a bit soulless imo.
If we're getting more EVs, we really need events catered specifically for EVs with battery consumption (maybe one series for road cars and another for racing cars).
I've been watching a bit of this season's Formula E and it is kinda fun watching the teams try to strategize their battery consumption since the cars dont have enough charge for them to go full blast the whole time. Would be kinda fun to see the players have to come up with similar strategies in the game, trying to save and recharge the battery while still trying to reach top position. It definitely would demand a different strategy compared to combustion engines.
In quick response to Naffan’s event rant at the start, when I play old GT games - which thanks to how boring GT7 is currently, is quite a lot - I tend to play a lot of Championship races (GT All Stars, Dream Car, Polyphony Digital Cup) these races take more than 5 minutes to complete (single races closer to 10, 20 maybe 30 minutes in GT3’s case.
My point - they should bring back Championship races, and I mean PROPER championship races. With random grids so each championship feels different, mixed grids that still have some BOP etc
Maybe that’s a silly idea. But all these individual events are part of a series. Why not make them part of a championship series instead?
It's not a silly ideea at all. I would love some realistic, proper multiclass racing, with bop for all classes. And you have prototypes, gt3, gt4 and so on. But that would require a huge ai update, as the current ai still hits me at full speed when i'm exiting the spa pits. And also a complete racecar lineup update, as most gt3s are from 8 years ago. And a group update too, as racing a 787b against a gr010 hypercar because both are in group 1 is unrealistic and dumb imo.

Welcome to the story of 99% of everybody's story lol. That's exactly where I'm stuck. I've also got 2 license tests that I haven't gotten gold in yet, but that'll be easier than getting a Bugatti invite
Chevelle is what saved the update for me

Please dont take this offensivly, its just something i noticed.. in your update videos you keep repeating some key words alot of times which distracts me from the actuall information i want to take out of your vids!
For patches themselves.. yea there's hit or miss ones but as long as they keep being free i wont complain! I just hope that they'll use all the feedback to create a better experience with gt8 ("crippling" one product to make the next feel better)
Still wish there was a more focused car output of cars that players actually want.. Hell it wldnt be hard for GT7 to make a vote system ingame that gives the options to choose from a car pool maybe..

I had been looking forward to the Feela for VR, hoping that there would be something interesting on that huge internal monitor. But there's nothing, less even than the last Tesla we got. Such a waste of their time, and we should have had it 2 or 3 months ago.
Unfortunately I decided to walk away from GT7 about 6 months ago now, I could see it was going the way it was, hardest decision I've had to make as I played GT1 and became a life long fan. I thoroughly enjoy your content mate so please keep doing what your doing, streamers like yourself keep the community well informed, unlike PD.
I'm about to sack it off now myself, they do not care when you have handed your cash over... scandalous
Here me out. Take the 600pp Tokyo race. Lap count settings etc. add different tracks. Or each week switch it to a different track. That way the grinding changes tracks every week.

Average update with an above average muscle car, wish PD would give us more events and more 1 hour day night day cycle races, I'm tired of custom races that are essentially BOP races with the GR3 and gr2 cars for me at this point.

I disagree. 99% of players do not give a shite about these cars, even if there was some sort of event added with them.
We want real, iconic and cool cars that are actually interesting.
As another comment pointed this out - Gran Turismo is just a glorified billboard at this point. Coming from someone who wishes to get into Gran Turismo, why does sony and PD focus on brand collabs instead of their own product?

Polyphony needs to add some kind of EV equivalent of the Fuel Map to the game if they're gonna keep adding EV vehicles.
Rather have another Evo (8) instead of the two electric cars. But that’s just me.
Engine swap EVs, I want a V12 Tesla lol
For that they will need to swap the transmision and so far only the engine changes the transmision stays the same

@@TRSF1RACING I think the AI is pretty good you just got to get in the mindset the AI seems more immersive than it is in the lobbies instead of fun pedal to the metal trying to get first actually pull up beside some of your rivals and race it's not all about first place
