As soon as Jamie was made to choose about the Kit situation he was as good as dead. If he didn't kill Kit then Dushane wouldn't see him as loyal and have Jamie killed. If he did kill Kit then Sully would kill him as now Jamie is a threat, if he can kill his best friend, what's to stop him from killing Sully or Dushane. Basically this was the end for Jamie, he couldn't win, he was always going to die from either Dushane or Sully.
Would Dushane really kill his ‘retirement plan’ because he won’t pack his best friend? Jaq wasn’t willing to give up her sister, he didn’t kill her and what Jaq’s sister did was just as bad if not worse. All Jamie really had to say was “I can’t do that he’s family”.

Jaime’s character had a lot more to give. But this show is a reflection of real life and sometimes our favorite people get taken out. This shows how good the series is because I felt like I really lost my homie
after Jamie died i had to sit and stare at the tv in silence for a good 30 mins. they did my guy DIRTY and the fact that Stef saw the whole thing, I was gutted.
The show really depicts how hard it is for young men in the hood. Stef, especially Aaron was focused on school and other things but after seeing their brother die in front of them they can easily loose everything they worked hard for to get in the game to get revenge on their brother which nobody can blame them for.
this makes the show feel so much more real, especially since we all loved Jamie, even though you might not like him, you can't help but respect what he does for his brothers.

Jamie clearly has every intention of riding out for his best friend but in realisation that it is hurting his brothers he puts his No.1 priority 1st, protecting his brothers ultimately costing his life.*

Jamie a legend man. The emotion in his acting and all the scenes he was in were so touching. And Hate to see the young guy go. OGs always trynna fuck up the youngins instead guiding em. Whole season we saw Stef balancing on a beam between good and bad. Just when it felt like Steph strayed from the path of good Jamie was able to keep him safe and redirect him away from the corrupt lifestyle. The joker said it in the Dark Knight: Madness is like gravity , all it takes is a little push. Jamie's death is what's going to shove Steph over the edge, entering the Topboy world.

People are giving sully more credit then he deserves for the reasons he killed Jamie. I think he did it to spite Dushane. Sully has always had a problem with Dushane not treating him as an equal since summerhouse. When Dushane told sully that he planned for Jamie to be their retirement plan , despite how sully felt about Jamie and Dushane not discusssing this with him, I think sully realised that Dushane will never see him as an equal and that Dushane is to self centered to take into account any of sullys opinions and thoughts, and that is what drove him to kill Jamie. I think that sully decided to do what he believed is right for him, just as Dushane has always done for himself.

Think of it in season 3 sully killed Dris and they were mates. Dris had to die for what he did and so did Kit. I think Sullys motive will be explored in the next season as well as his consequences.

I said earlier in the season when Dushane showed up at Jaime's apartment, that Jaime was lacking. He walked to the door, didn't check to see who was there, just opened it... I feel like that scene kind of foreshadowed the final scene. Again, approaching the door, no gun in hand, not checking to see who is there first... just little things that anyone in the game would not do.
I don't think people realise that Leyton played a huge part in the death of Jamie. I think that Sully still hated Jamie because of the episode where Leyton shot at Sully, while Sully was at Jason's funeral. But the thing is, that Jamie didn't want Leyton to shoot Sully which Sully of course doesn't know.

When Jamie’s brother screamed his name after he saw what happened. That damn near made me cry. Solid acting Jamie could’ve had some much and a whole lot more if he would’ve let go of his hate for Dushane. Which is ironic. He was the one preaching to his brother about not letting His hate for Ats consume him. If Jamie would’ve just been patient he could’ve had everything. It’s easier said than done. But then again Dushane was nobody to Jamie. They weren’t friends, they weren’t from the same neighborhood, they had no connection to each other before their beef. He could’ve waited for that day for Dushane to retire. Dushane was already preparing to leave the business to Jamie. And Dushane is already on his last. He’s ready to leave. So it wouldn’t be before Jamie would’ve had the crown. I say 3-5 years he would’ve got what he wanted. Too bad tho. Great show!

Love the foreshadowing but the irony of Jamie's advice to Stef. Jamie mentions that if Kit were to get into trouble, he'd be there for him because Kit would be there for Jamie. Yet when shit hit the fan (Kit head manning the death of Ats), Jamie couldn't follow his own advice to Stef.
I think he changed his perception based on the conversation in Morocco with the dealer who also killed his best friend. In the end he realized that his brothers safety was more important than anything
I think that’s why Jamie was killed, all up until he didn’t back up his best friend Kit, he was a man of his word. Life got a way rewarding you or destroying you when don’t stand on your principles
Dushane sees Jamie as his retirement plan. Sully doesn’t trust him. Dushane tried to make Sully see Jamie’s loyalty by getting him to kill Kit. Sully saw the red flags tho. Jamie killed kit, meaning in Dushanes head it’s business as usual. But Jamie knows Sully doesn’t trust him and vica versa. If Jamie didn’t die eventually he would’ve asked Dushane to do the same thing (kill his friend) for the sake of the business and absolutely fuck knows how that would’ve went. Point is the death was inevitable
Next season I think they’ll end the whole thing, Sully got PTSD and Dushane got some sort of heart problem, killed off the best character already, maybe they’ll do some spin offs but it’s not looking good

Too many people are pushing this whole, Dushane ordering Jamie to kill kit was about a test of loyalty, to see if he’d stay loyal to his friend, so much so some are like Jaime should have gone to Cardiff with kit and Dushane would have have told him to return as it was all a test. Just no! If sully was right about anything is that Dushane has a tendency to be self absorbed. This is how Dushane processed sullys concerns about Jaime snaking it in Spain. 1) he listened to what sully said but had no response it was marinating. 2) when kit killed dexter to hide his involvement in ats dying, Dushane feeling cheated sends Jaime to investigate. 3) when Jaime found out what happened, his first mistake was to tell Dushane. He was better of playing the role of not knowing anything. But Jamie chose to be transparent and hoped a line will be drawn under it. That’s why he said him and kit were loyal to the crews business and this issue was a mistake on kits part. If it was abt loyalty per se this would have sufficed, Dushane knows Jamie could have withheld this info. 4) Dushanes response was punishment based and to see what Jamie would do, since the word loyalty came out of his mouth. He tells Jamie kit has to go if not you’re done. Jamie walks out in disbelief. Pay attention to what Dushane says to sully soon as he leaves “now he needs to prove himself we will see if his loyal or not” 5) when Jamie kills kit, on the balcony dushane responds In a elated happy manner saying “Jamie came through! He proved his loyalty” To which sully replied in a deflated manner “to you!” Dushanes reaction shows his self absorbed tendencies, he saw Jamie killing kit as proof of loyalty to his regime/by extension himself. Point being in Dushanes eyes and by his own words, Jamie came through! He was pleased with the outcome fully. Dushane didn’t see it as a L, or looked at it from the lens of rah he killed his day one this guys a snake we need to watch. This the viewers lens with a dash of sully spice projecting it onto dushane. So let’s stop claiming it was a test where kit living was the pass and him dying a loss for Jamie. As for why sully killed Jaime? It was because dushane spoke for him about Jaime being the retirement plan. “So that’s what this is about?, maybe it’s time to move on” was sullys response, what’s this about? What exactly is he speaking to? His responding to Dushanes comment abt sully looking like he wants to be an old head on the roads. Dushane looking down on it and deciding their exit rubbed sully the wrong way. His response is saying if it’s abt moving on let’s do it now, you wanna dip go. Don’t speak for me or plan for me though. Sullys sovereignty is in his “when” and “how” and that’s why his sensitive to some things dushane says, it triggers him and he feels disrespected by it and not an equal. His also a bit hypocritical because he does the same thing to dushane however dushane doesn’t react in the same way because it’s not a trigger for him. Example of this is compare Sully telling dushane in summer house original series “fine we will deal with it your way” referring to buying the 5 key weed of Ra’nell for 20k, (sully wanted to rob the youte) Sully lied to dushane then schemed behind his back with Dris to tail and rob Ranell. Dushane checked him for it but moved on without drama. When rafe kills Mike Though sully tells dushane after they take out the Albanians “I can’t forgive that thing with Mike” Even though dushane didn’t really do anything, he just accepted he can’t influence rafe on Mike. Sully killed Jamie to spite Dushanes plan and to do the opposite of what he planned. Hence why in the new season we see the first place he goes after killing Jamie is to the restaurant dushane is eating at with Shelly. And he forces his hand to step down from the operations. Dushane says “I’ll step down and away when I say I will” Dushane is responding in real time to the disrespect that sully so far only perceived from dushane. Sully thinking he was disrespected is perceived, Dushanes being disrespected is real. Sully attacks Dushanes sovereignty as a fact, by forcing him to step out and expect his money. The point however is, in sullys mind Dushane wants to leave the roads now he can but Jamie isn’t gonna be the successor, he will be top boy till his done with the roads himself. Jamie was killed because of sullys emotional issues. Every other detail, him being a threat, sully not liking him generally is all secondary. It wasn’t the influence behind the kill that night. That night was about sully showing dushane something out of spite and insecurity based annoyance. That’s why he made his move that night. Kills Jamie heads up to dushane to strip him as leader. (All on the same night) Jamie’s death was just a season cliff hanger, but new season continues directly from that night.

People are giving sully more credit then he deserves for the reasons he killed Jamie. I think he did it to spite Dushane. Sully has always had a problem with Dushane not treating him as an equal since summerhouse. When Dushane told sully that he planned for Jamie to be their retirement plan , despite how sully felt about Jamie and Dushane not discusssing this with him, I think sully realised that Dushane will never see him as an equal and that Dushane is to self centered to take into account any of sullys opinions and thoughts, and that is what drove him to kill Jamie. I think that sully decided to do what he believed is right for him, just as Dushane has always done for himself.

Think of it in season 3 sully killed Dris and they were mates. Dris had to die for what he did and so did Kit. I think Sullys motive will be explored in the next season as well as his consequences.

I said earlier in the season when Dushane showed up at Jaime's apartment, that Jaime was lacking. He walked to the door, didn't check to see who was there, just opened it... I feel like that scene kind of foreshadowed the final scene. Again, approaching the door, no gun in hand, not checking to see who is there first... just little things that anyone in the game would not do.

When Jamie’s brother screamed his name after he saw what happened. That damn near made me cry. Solid acting Jamie could’ve had some much and a whole lot more if he would’ve let go of his hate for Dushane. Which is ironic. He was the one preaching to his brother about not letting His hate for Ats consume him. If Jamie would’ve just been patient he could’ve had everything. It’s easier said than done. But then again Dushane was nobody to Jamie. They weren’t friends, they weren’t from the same neighborhood, they had no connection to each other before their beef. He could’ve waited for that day for Dushane to retire. Dushane was already preparing to leave the business to Jamie. And Dushane is already on his last. He’s ready to leave. So it wouldn’t be before Jamie would’ve had the crown. I say 3-5 years he would’ve got what he wanted. Too bad tho. Great show!

Love the foreshadowing but the irony of Jamie's advice to Stef. Jamie mentions that if Kit were to get into trouble, he'd be there for him because Kit would be there for Jamie. Yet when shit hit the fan (Kit head manning the death of Ats), Jamie couldn't follow his own advice to Stef.
I think he changed his perception based on the conversation in Morocco with the dealer who also killed his best friend. In the end he realized that his brothers safety was more important than anything

I think that’s why Jamie was killed, all up until he didn’t back up his best friend Kit, he was a man of his word. Life got a way rewarding you or destroying you when don’t stand on your principles
Dushane sees Jamie as his retirement plan. Sully doesn’t trust him. Dushane tried to make Sully see Jamie’s loyalty by getting him to kill Kit. Sully saw the red flags tho. Jamie killed kit, meaning in Dushanes head it’s business as usual. But Jamie knows Sully doesn’t trust him and vica versa. If Jamie didn’t die eventually he would’ve asked Dushane to do the same thing (kill his friend) for the sake of the business and absolutely fuck knows how that would’ve went. Point is the death was inevitable
Next season I think they’ll end the whole thing, Sully got PTSD and Dushane got some sort of heart problem, killed off the best character already, maybe they’ll do some spin offs but it’s not looking good

Too many people are pushing this whole, Dushane ordering Jamie to kill kit was about a test of loyalty, to see if he’d stay loyal to his friend, so much so some are like Jaime should have gone to Cardiff with kit and Dushane would have have told him to return as it was all a test.
Just no! If sully was right about anything is that Dushane has a tendency to be self absorbed.
This is how Dushane processed sullys concerns about Jaime snaking it in Spain.
1) he listened to what sully said but had no response it was marinating.
2) when kit killed dexter to hide his involvement in ats dying, Dushane feeling cheated sends Jaime to investigate.
3) when Jaime found out what happened, his first mistake was to tell Dushane. He was better of playing the role of not knowing anything. But Jamie chose to be transparent and hoped a line will be drawn under it. That’s why he said him and kit were loyal to the crews business and this issue was a mistake on kits part.
If it was abt loyalty per se this would have sufficed, Dushane knows Jamie could have withheld this info.
4) Dushanes response was punishment based and to see what Jamie would do, since the word loyalty came out of his mouth. He tells Jamie kit has to go if not you’re done. Jamie walks out in disbelief.
Pay attention to what Dushane says to sully soon as he leaves “now he needs to prove himself we will see if his loyal or not”
5) when Jamie kills kit, on the balcony dushane responds In a elated happy manner saying “Jamie came through! He proved his loyalty”
To which sully replied in a deflated manner “to you!”
Dushanes reaction shows his self absorbed tendencies, he saw Jamie killing kit as proof of loyalty to his regime/by extension himself.
Point being in Dushanes eyes and by his own words, Jamie came through! He was pleased with the outcome fully.
Dushane didn’t see it as a L, or looked at it from the lens of rah he killed his day one this guys a snake we need to watch. This the viewers lens with a dash of sully spice projecting it onto dushane.
So let’s stop claiming it was a test where kit living was the pass and him dying a loss for Jamie.
As for why sully killed Jaime?
It was because dushane spoke for him about Jaime being the retirement plan.
“So that’s what this is about?, maybe it’s time to move on” was sullys response, what’s this about? What exactly is he speaking to?
His responding to Dushanes comment abt sully looking like he wants to be an old head on the roads. Dushane looking down on it and deciding their exit rubbed sully the wrong way. His response is saying if it’s abt moving on let’s do it now, you wanna dip go. Don’t speak for me or plan for me though.
Sullys sovereignty is in his “when” and “how” and that’s why his sensitive to some things dushane says, it triggers him and he feels disrespected by it and not an equal. His also a bit hypocritical because he does the same thing to dushane however dushane doesn’t react in the same way because it’s not a trigger for him. Example of this is compare
Sully telling dushane in summer house original series “fine we will deal with it your way” referring to buying the 5 key weed of Ra’nell for 20k, (sully wanted to rob the youte)
Sully lied to dushane then schemed behind his back with Dris to tail and rob Ranell.
Dushane checked him for it but moved on without drama. When rafe kills Mike Though sully tells dushane after they take out the Albanians “I can’t forgive that thing with Mike”
Even though dushane didn’t really do anything, he just accepted he can’t influence rafe on Mike.
Sully killed Jamie to spite Dushanes plan and to do the opposite of what he planned.
Hence why in the new season we see the first place he goes after killing Jamie is to the restaurant dushane is eating at with Shelly. And he forces his hand to step down from the operations.
Dushane says “I’ll step down and away when I say I will”
Dushane is responding in real time to the disrespect that sully so far only perceived from dushane.
Sully thinking he was disrespected is perceived, Dushanes being disrespected is real.
Sully attacks Dushanes sovereignty as a fact, by forcing him to step out and expect his money.
The point however is, in sullys mind Dushane wants to leave the roads now he can but Jamie isn’t gonna be the successor, he will be top boy till his done with the roads himself.
Jamie was killed because of sullys emotional issues.
Every other detail, him being a threat, sully not liking him generally is all secondary. It wasn’t the influence behind the kill that night.
That night was about sully showing dushane something out of spite and insecurity based annoyance.
That’s why he made his move that night.
Kills Jamie heads up to dushane to strip him as leader. (All on the same night) Jamie’s death was just a season cliff hanger, but new season continues directly from that night.
