    they did dushane dirty. His storyline in s3(5) made no sense. He was always a calculated leader and has already killed people and left no evidence. When he killed that guy that asked him to betray sully he made it look like it was suicide. Man was always calculated and smart just to leave a house full of evidence...you tell me they couldnt think of something else? The last season was rushed af and dushane s character took most of the damage. Failed season tbh bad writing

      Your forgetting that people are less calculated when emotional just like with Franklin saint when you lose everything you feel you need to do everything in your power to get it back but when you come to the realization that it’s impossible to get back what you lost it leads us to Lash out at those around us that’s why Shelly left him because she could see how dangerous he was during hard ships

    • @MickHale
      @MickHale Рік тому +21

      Because like Shelly said to him during the last episode. The things he cared about most was money and power. He was calculated when he was chasing it or when he had it. But when he lost it he wasn’t the same. It was a lifeline for him. That’s the simple way to put it. But just because it’s the the storyline you wanted doesn’t mean it makes no sense.

    Dushane in the last season became somewhat of a dumb ass. He wanted to pull out part of his money out of long term investment with Lizzy and the other momma. But didn’t understand that it’s not like pulling money out of a drawer. Then proceeded to threaten the momma and well she got scared and gtfu outta there, rightfully so. Thing is Lizzy and mommy probably weren’t even planning on robbing Dushane, but when being threatened they actually got blessed 💰 then his dumbass goes after the (ex) husband of Lizzy. Some dumbass who never was in charge to begin with, ends up killing him while not seeing that Lizzy is the culpable and they are both victims in that sense. Then got the feds on him cause of that murder and then loses his gf which was actually the origin of his problems with buying them nailsalons 💅 from top boy to top dumbass you ask me

    • @daisybeforetwilight
      @daisybeforetwilight 3 місяці тому +1

      @Rowdy_7441 don't think it was like that though, she left him because he was so unpredictable. She asked multiple times if he had the money and he said yes and when it turns out he didn't, he didn't even explain the situation and told her to stay out of his business and turn it on her like it was her fault or something. So many times he literally would be talking to her and then see something on his phone drop all emotion and leave the room without saying anything. I think Shelley venting to Noami in the salon showed that she was done with not knowing what to expect from him and she wasn't going to put up with his instability anymore. Overall I'm glad she left him because I think it showed him that he thought that it would be money that would keep a woman with him, but money is nothing if the person is not right for you, like dushane's mum said he has to fix himself.

    I was even expecting an analysis about his relationship with sully from his own point of view
    His relationship with Jamie which had brief but meaningful and interesting scenes in some episodes in top boy season 2. His positive traits and negative traits which had an effect on others in some cases.

    1. Why would he PROMISE his GF that business chain ting without having the money in his HANDS FIRST ?!!
    Its not like she was gonna dump him if he just calmly told her he couldn't afford it.. so WHY was he THAT AGRESSIVE to Lithe about getting that UNREALISTIC AMOUNT of CASH when HE KNOWS that:
    i) It will mess up their books & raise a ton of suspicion from investigators.
    ii) She still has a huge grudge on him from the past & HAS THE ABILITY to RUN AWAY from him if she felt threatened.
    2. Dushane has ALWAYS been shown as a SMART, CALCULATED & EXPIERIENCED CRIMINAL who is known well by cops. So Why would such a clever character EVER kill a rich white man in his own mansion in the most EASILY CATCHABLE way by cops ?!! (No gloves, DNA, Suburban street Cameras, Recent phone calls) ?!!
    Like wtf, the Dushane we all know would never do things so stupidly. 🤔

    Sully would have 100% given him the money. Sully lives by the code, and Dushane literally saved his life a couple months ago. Sully saying they were done was purely because Dushane wanted out, but Sully wanted to stay in. He didn't mean he would never be there if needed like Dushane was for him.

    dushane and sully were both monsters, both evil and both wanted the same things. but dushane, as the good cop, would treat his enemies and allies with a good time before killing them with poison. sully as the bad cop, would let them know theyd done wrong straight away and then shoot them between the eyes with little remorse.

    • @djgreene5440
      @djgreene5440 7 місяців тому +2

      This is actually the perfect analysis. You can especially see it with how they deal with Jamie. Dushane would rather work with Jamie and use him. While Sully just straight up wants to kill him.

  • @afrogroov

    13:20 thank you! Exactly! I felt that the drama at the end was rushed and a bit nonsensical......Sully would have given the money knowing Dushane was on the run and broke! There is even a scene after Dushane kills the white man and keeps denying it in Sully's face......Sully knew and just said with a smirk on his face "Yeah get your story right innit".....Sully knew his friend was in serious trouble but didn't want to be associated with it. Hence better to go separate ways! Ultimately...all Dushane had to do was put his ego on the side......Sully would have come through for him 100%

    Season 3 raced to the finish line, rather than conclude the saga. Dushane was so out of character. Why couldn't The McGees be the same gang who kneecapped Lizzie's brother, that would stir war between The Irish clans, putting him and family in the cross fire. What if Jeffrey put a hit on Dushane for cancelling his redevelopment contracts?
