- Janja casually flashes ⚡ W3 of the 2022 Munich European Championships. This was her latest competition due to a minor toe injury, preventing her from attending the first three Boulder World Cups of 2023.
However, the QUEEN is BACK. Later today, you'll be able to see her compete in the semi-finals of the 2023 Prague Boulder World Cup, topping all and flashing 4 of 5 qualifying boulders.
She is mindblowing.

I'm a Slovenian and I'm training climbing, so I can confirm that Janja is the GOAT, a huge inspiration and everybody here is proud of her.

@@emmaratur whilst she has competition in lead (and is not the best in lead) - she is massively ahead of her competition in bouldering. the routesetters have repeatedly had issues creating boulders that make her sweat but still allow others to top as well (e.g., the infamous boulder session at the 2020 olympics)

that is a one arm lock-off not a one arm pullup. There is a big difference.
Stuff like this inspired me to start working out! I have no desire to be a rock climber but knowing what human bodies can be capable of is so inspiring and I want to know what it feels like to be strong.
I feel you! I might not be as diciplined to be as strong as them, but man how exciting and fun it would be to be just a little more active and have just a fraction of their strength.
Its a long process but the feeling when you reach new milestones is great
Also bouldering and rock climbing in general is so much fun its a little victory every time you top out a hard climb

This is so true. The best part of being an active person isn't looking better. It really is having the privilege of moving in a strong and capable body. I think more people would have an active lifestyle if that were the focus over pants sizes.

That is so incredible!! The coolest thing I've seen. The way she just hung for a bit with only one hand while holding her body almost completely horizontally is friggin insane man. My fitness goal is to one day be at least a third as strong as she is
What I find amazing is the fact that a country with a population of only 2 millions can have so many top athletes in most of the sports:

Tadej Pogačar- Tour de France(3 times)
Anže Kopitar- NHL Stanley Cup winner(2 times)
Basketball, Volleyball, Handball teams that are always fighting for the top spots.
When in comes to sports, the rest of the world should consider lucky that Slovenia has only around 2 million people. If demographically they were the size of Russia, U.S.A, or be over a billion like China, they would dominate everything😊.

i saw janja life at a world cup in Switzerland. Her performance was incredible, as usual. But what really impressed me was her great character. She took time to chat with fans and take selfies with everyone who wanted to after thw competition.

I made a point of performing a dead hang at the gym with both arms until I could hang for 2 minutes, so I thought I’d have a go at a one handed hang , I managed to hang for about 5 seconds the next day my forearm was black and blue, it’s a lot harder than this amazing girl makes it look 😮

More than strength it was about body positioning. Yes, that one arm pull up was incredible but the real crux was the finish which she did by keeping her weight over the right foot while bumping the left hand out to a stable position. That strong left hand is what got her the finish. That is where both Pilz and Meul struggled and Janja succeeded.
I didn’t know that was physically possible. Girl pulling off inhuman feats over here!

It's really amazing to see how the process behind the tracks you love, it gives a new depth to this fantastic album (especially for the lyrics as you are one of the rare bands where I am so much vibing on the instrumental that I am not paying as much attention to the lyrics) I must say that knowing that "outta my body" was not going to be on the album was shocking, I am so curious about the songs that did not make the cut now 👀 (my favorite songs being We don't wanna talk, outta my body and favorite part)

She is so damn strong some people don't understand how hard it is to have grip on such a flat and slippery surface
Insane strength and mobility for sure but mainly perfect body positioning for all big moves, you can clearly see what she is doing different and it works. Some will need 15 try to get perfect body positions but you cannot try 15 times in competition, she has a climbing QI extremely high and get that done perfectly very quickly.
Her technique is also far superior. The other althletes might be just as strong as her, but they are just flopping around. Janja knows how to use her strenght.
honestly, I don't think most of the women in the field could do that one arm lock up on that hold.
@@suckieduckieit’s literally everyone among the women comp climbers who could do this lock off hang separately. It’s not that hard. But to do it during the comp under pressure is risky. Also being able to reach further from that position - is different 😅
