You just kicked me um...to the delish zone! Always ready to taste new dishes! Yummy, yum! Doing the air fryer way. Waving to you from south Georgia-land of best Peaches, boiled Peanuts, & Vidalia onions!
Hi, we usually make home made bread in a bread maker, which nearly always comes out pretty good. The down side to the appliance, is that it takes 5 hours to complete the whole process and uses a fair bit of energy to do so. I made this bread and it was so easy and fast, it was extremely easy and is one of the best breads that I have eaten. I made one amendment to the recipe, I added 3/4 of a teaspoon of sugar. It is my understanding that yeast needs to feed on the sugar to create bubbles and help the bread rise. I also added a couple of teaspoons of dried herbs, the bread is utterly delish, it's so light and airy. It is going to be a staple in my family from now on for the reasons I mentioned above and because it is so good. I would have appreciated the heat of the warm water to be included in the video but a quick google search sorted that. Many thanks for the excellent recipe and I cant wait to try some of your other ones.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience with making this bread! I'm thrilled to hear that it turned out well for you and that it's become a favorite. Your tweaks to the recipe sound fantastic-the additional sugar does indeed help the yeast work its magic, and I can only imagine how the dried herbs elevated the flavor, making it even more delicious. Your suggestion about specifying the water temperature is a great one, and I'll definitely keep it in mind for future recipes. Thanks again for trying out the recipe and for your feedback. I can't wait for you to try more recipes and hear what you think. Happy baking!
Happy I found you! I will try your recipe this weekend. I had a disaster with my first one in my bread maker I just bought. I have to redeem myself 😂. So how warm does the water need to be?
Hi, when adding water to a bread recipe, the temperature should be just warm-not too hot or too cold. Ideally, it should be between 95°F to 110°F (35°C to 43°C). This range activates the yeast without killing it, helping the dough rise properly. You can test the water by touching it; it should feel slightly warm, but not hot to the touch.

Amazing video, really it is the most relevant and valuable for me. Really, we can easily know tips about how to cook super simple four-ingredient air fryer bread recipe. I appreciate this video.
If there's too much water in your bread dough, your loaf will turn out dense and flat. The extra water messes with the gluten structure, so the bread can't hold its shape properly. I did try with just the wholemeal flour and no extra water, turned out perfect.
I know that many people recommend preheating the air fryer, but I have never done it, as all the air fryers are pretty much instantly hot once I turn them on. If your air fryer takes a long time to heat up, then it is probably better to preheat it. The dough sits in the cold air fryer, but since my kitchen is quite warm, that seems to be the perfect temperature.
My air fryer is about 3 quarts so I used a bowl 5 inches in diameter, but if you have a larger air fryer (5-6 quarts) can fit bowls up to 8 inches, ensuring there's space around the bowl for air circulation. Always choose oven-safe materials like silicone, metal, glass, or ceramic, and refer to the manufacturer's recommendations for the best fit.
I have always made it with that amount of yeast; I don't have the original recipe anymore, so I can't check. I did not realize it was that much. But it does come out really nice.
Yes, you can definitely use whole wheat flour, but expect the bread to be a bit denser and less fluffy. Whole wheat absorbs more water, so you might need to add a bit more, and it also takes longer to rise. The flavor will be richer and nuttier, which can be a great twist. Just be patient with the rise time, and you should get a delicious whole wheat bread from your air fryer.

The bread looks good 🔥. Do I need to make any adjustments if I use wholemeal flour to replace all purpose flour?
Wholemeal flour would work ok, you don't have to adjust any other ingredient.
Wholemeal flour will almost certainly need more fluid for a successful bake, I hope yours turned out ok despite the random, unexplained reply!!!

This is a very useful, practical tutorial! My question however is,how can I keep the crust from getting too dark?
Some air fryers might cook bit different, just lower the temperature by few degrees.
Hi.
I would love to try this, but in England we use strong flour for bread. Can you please tell me if I can substitute with equal amounts?
Yes, you can substitute strong flour with equal amounts. It will actually give the bread a better texture due to its higher protein content.
@@FoodHow Thank you for answering that question for me.
Does the air fryer need to be pre heated? Does the dough sit in the pre heated or non heated air fryer?

Is the large amount of yeast needed to help it cook in an air fryer?
I have always made it with that amount of yeast; I don't have the original recipe anymore, so I can't check. I did not realize it was that much. But it does come out really nice.
Thank you!
Can I mix nut and dry raisins ? Thanks
Yes, absolutely, great idea, I will try that also, sound really nice. Thank you.

I’m going to make this for bread chicken ala king.
I hope you'll like it.
Can I donor it if the air fryer I am using is much bigger?
By much, do you mean something like with a capacity of 3lb?
Well I guess I don’t know, it’s just the bowl is pretty large like the main base.
I have a ninja pressure cooker xl
It has an air fryer setting.
❤❤❤❤
What size air fryer for this bread recipe?
It should be at least 2.6 Quarts.
Have just made this loaf, I used a non stick cake tin liner, guess what? It stuck 😮 oh well just have to make sure we don’t eat the paper 😂 will know next time 😊
That has happened to me a few times as well. Very annoying :(
How to make an airfare bread super soft??
Just follow the recipe, the loaf will be really soft.
Thanks, it would really be helpful if you could consistently show international measurements rather than just American Proprietary ones.
Yes, it seems I will have to do both since many people ask for one, and then there are a lot of people who ask for the other measurements.
A cup is a cup the world over

Can I commercialise that and make money?
Yes, go right ahead :)
That's 5 ingredients not 4
1 - all-purpose flour
2 - One tablespoon of active dry yeast
3 - Pinch of salt
4 - 1 cup or 200 ml of lukewarm water
