Just a tip; when you need to add more corn starch, never add to already hot liquid, instead mix a table spoon of starch to a little water mix till smooth then add that to your liquid you want to make thicker…..this will prevent the unwanted lumps. Good work Kay, I love watching your videos.

That did look like a lovely treat, right good with a hot cup of tea. There was actually a rap singer in the 1980s who was called Vanilla Slice. He had a number one hit in the pop charts with a song called Can't Touch This, apparently it was about the time he cooked a potato waffle in his toaster and when it popped up it was right hot, sizziling and all that. It was too hot to touch and he had to wait 2 minutes before taking it out. He did still burn his mouth though because the inside was still roasting hot when he bit in to it. I'm surprised that he didn't write a follow up hit called Can't Eat This. Fumbs up.
I was watching this video and then my neighbor came and we watched it together. He said this video really changed his life and it touched my heart. My family are so grateful. Am proud to say cool post wow thanks for sharing
Hey Kay, great video once again 😊 Try find some local honey and have a spoonful a day, that should help with your hay fever, much better than orange juice. Have a blessed week 😊
I have a vintage recipe called ‘ frog’s eye salad ‘ it’s a lot like ambrosia fruit salad. It’s made with tiny pasta ( can also be called January rice ). Your vanilla custard reminds me of the base of frog’s eye ( a whipped concoction around summer months )
Kay you make me so happy, watching your cooking takes me right back to my childhood. We didn't always have much, it wasn't always pretty, but it was always made with love. I wish I could come bake with you, it would just be joyful and fun I'm sure. ❤

Hi,Kay! Hope you are doing and feeling well. I love what you do, and very respectfully wanted to say that I'm not here to criticize your work at all whatsoever, but I wanted to add, just a couple of suggestions. I don't know what time limit you're working on when you're making your videos, but here's a couple of my suggestions. For the custard...It will thicken up more as it cools down, and if you add a teaspoon or 2 of butter when it's done, it will help thicken it up even more. I also always whisk mine to get a silkier, smoother consistency. Also, if you feel like you need to make it thicker, mix the cornstarch separately in a cup with water or milk, then stir them well together until all cornstarch is blended, then add it to the custard slowly and in small amounts, as it will thicken quickly. Love your work and I'm gonna try this recipe out as it does look very tasty. Love, from the U.S ❤😊🤗😘
Ur so awesome☺️ I know people hate you one the internet, but you are so wholesome. Thank you so much for makin my day better! Hope you have a great day, Kay!

Hi Kay. I just wanna share a "hack" with you since I've seen you hurting when making pastry. If you grate the butter it's much easier and faster to make the oastry come together. Well done Kay 🎉
Hi Kay, great video. Parchment sheets and baking paper is the same thing. Manufacture's just like to confuse us to make us think they are different so we buy both. You are an absolute delight. I love your video's.
Kay do you have any plans on adding more merchandise designs? Something with a drawing or even your catchphrase(s), as opposed to just the channel's name?
I’ve been laid up in bed with a painful illness, but Kay, you have made me feel a bit better. Your videos are like therapy and your laughter is like medicine. Bless you. ❤
You always seem to have so much fun when you cook. 🙂 You inspire me to try making new meals, even if they don’t always go the way I plan. It’s just as important to have fun while making your meals. Keep it up Kay!
Kay, you should look into buying a pastry cutter for making pastry. Not only might it save your hands, which I know you’ve said can be good or bad, depending on the day, but you also wouldn’t get your hands nearly as dirty when mixing pastry.
Kay good joob on filming yourself and i love your videos but i think you need to zoom out the camera a bit, well a lot actually, its hard to watch like this super zoomed in 😁
Kay, your cooking videos always make my day! You’ve progressed so much in the time you’ve been on UA-cam and it’s a pleasure to see you having fun cooking and learning with every video. Keep doing what you’re doing, maybe you could be the next Jamie Oliver! Your most recent fried rice was better than his anyway 😂
I suspect she added more custard powder after worrying that it wasn't thickening up enough but you can't just add the powder. you need to always mix with a small amount of milk until a smooth paste then add to the saucepan or else it just goes lumpy. Also there's what appears to be spots of flour or powder undisolved in the custard. Maybe just simply waiting until cold would've resulted in a thicker custard
Greetings Kay! I am one of your biggest fans. I am just wondering if you have a cookbook or if one is in the making? Hope to hear from you soon. -Olivero

What are the white lumps in the custard?
She curdled it. After thickening she should have taken it off the heat put in a bowl to cool covered with plastic so it doesn’t get a skin. LoL
