    I love you Kay! You make me smile and I laugh along with you when you laugh. Always a lighthearted great time. “I ran out of eggs!!” That sounds just like me in the kitchen so it makes me feel good and normal.

    One thing that can help is if you defrost your vegetables ahead of time. It helps with the texture and flavor. Thawing drains out the excess water that can cause mushiness since. They won’t take as long to cook too.

    There's a really simple Finnish recipe you could try called Karelian pie. They're just little oval shaped pies with some potato or rice on top. You serve them with butter with boiled eggs mixed in, very delicious. I bet you and Lee would like them x

I have a small suggestion for your next video: could you please zoom out the camera a bit more so we can see the whole dish and the ingredients better?       Also sweet Kay we can see what you are adding without you moving them so close to the camera. IT kind of makes you dizzy when you shove your ingredients to the camera. We can see when you are pulled out a bit. But you're doing great otherwise. You should try Crack chicken casserole. So good very delicious and addicting.

    I wouldn't worry about the rice not going brown the burnt carrots and peas add some brown colour to the dish.

      Margarine is one of the worst things ever for your heart! Hydrogenated oils do not pass the arteries very easily they are big wonky molecules that can build up in your arteries. Im so relieved she switched

      I agree! Me and my two children watch her and no matter if we are having a bad day or even a good day she always brightens it more with how joyful she is and her spirit and she makes me happy and excited to cook new meals and trying variety of things that I would have never thought of making before. We love Kay in my household! ❤❤

    Another great video. Just a small tip Kay.. Your right about most spices. If you put too much in that will be all you taste. HOWEVER salt and pepper are much different. These enhance the flavors of the food. Of course you can still put too much in but from what i can tell it doesnt look like you use much. Try it. 😊

    The correct seasonings enhance the flavor of the food. Salt enhances flavor.

      The sugar is needed because you need to balance the vinegar, you could also use a squirt of honey. Keep cooking Kay

    For the sauce I usually mix ketchup, oyster sauce, and worcestershire sauce, but that might be a bit of a flavour overload

    There's different kinds of soy sauce. You can get light soy sauce which you used and dark soy sauce which would add more colour. There's also Japanese light and dark soy sauce too which are slightly different to the Chinese ones

      Kikkoman soy sauce is Japanese. It's sold in the UK.
