are you sure ?
@@jimjones7821 He is 100% correct. Catch limit in QLD is just the normal fishing catch limit per species.
@@Flyingdinosaur69 Good to know. So he is NOT a poacher ;0
So true
I really wish Adrian had a UA-cam channel. He’s such a likeable guy and seems to have so much useful knowledge to spread.
Yeah, you have good point there!
@@adrianjakobsen6344 💕
They are causing irreparable harm & they are NOT permitted to take from the natural environment & keep as pets! I've left several other comments - worth looking for them
Beautifully shot and edited. Looks like a great adventure
You will have to get up here and do the same one day 🙂
very impressive and a lot of fun :)
@@AussieAquatic Thank you!
@@australianbiotopes4563 I'm thinking you'll have a long list of travel companions soon, wanting to join your adventures :)
@@AussieAquatic There is always room 🙂
Rainbows are some of my fav freshwater fish! So amazing to see them in their natural habitat!
Jason Sulda is a wealth of knowledge on Australian nature and his photos have inspired a new art series in the works!
Thank you! I look forward to seeing your new art 🙂
Wow. No words. Stunning. Amazing. Beautiful. Magical.
Thanks for taking us on an adventure. Australia's wildlife and nature are so beautiful!
After all the yrs of fantasizing a move to Australia your vids illustrates the complete reason for the fantasy. The birds too. It's a must watch more than once to absorb it all. Just love it.
Thank you for taking us along on your adventure, thank you. I am glad you got to have some fun!
One of your best videos really enjoyed seeing the Rainbow fish in their natural habitat.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Nick I enjoyed watching that, it was really nicely edited and was a great day, I'm happy you enjoyed the little adventure, it was sad to see how much destruction the floods had on the last two places, QLD. Water were working hard to establish the Val beds ad this would of been really disheartening to them, but the river always comes back eventually, Thanks for the fun day I had with you and all your friends and a big Thanks to Kaity for supplying lunch, looking forward to our next adventure 🙂

“Aw the smell is so nice, just like the air.”
*big ass rip*
😂
Awesome video, Australia is very beautiful, it was so cool to see so many rainbows in their natural environment!!!
Awesome pictures. Thanks to you all. Have just subscribed to @australianbiotopes and off to watch Kaity’s video too. Great to see such strong populations in our local waterways.
went to the spot at 15:00 this weekend and it looked a lot different. A lot less water, thick with plants and it was chockablock full of south american cichlids- Gymnogeophagus balzanii. Did see one purple spotted gudgeon....
Rope swing is still there, but you wouldnt want to try it
What a wholesome trip this must have been for all of you! Thanks for this awesome quality content!
So true awesome
he is literally taking living beeings out of their home / natural habitat just so he can sell them for 30dollars and they live their lifes in fukcing shit captivity or die right away NICE ;)
“Ahh the smell the air it’s so fresh” *dude puffs cigarette*
IT WAS AN SUPER VIDEO I LIKED THE FISHES, THE TREE, THE RIVER ALL THE THING THAT ARE INCLUDED IN NATURE❤️.NICE VIDEO THANKS FOR IT ☺️
Imagine preserving rainforest globally. For the benefit of the planet and mankind. Simply being there must be magical.
As an acquascaper.. this is heaven..😭😭😭
And I wish I have friends who wants hobbies like this..
just go by yourself...nothing wrong with enjoying nature by yourself :)

I’m in the same boat. Found this channel yesterday, and I’m in Brisbane! 😂

Australian Sub Tropical Rainforest. Thanks for the video. A friend was breeding fish for CSIRO Townsville and helped me catch some Rainbow fish. He also gave me the growth pellets from CSIRO. The fish grew bigger and brighter than I have seen. I lived on Mt Nebo and surrounding areas for years and love the area
AMAZING video! This was well worth the wait. The editing is absolutely incredible and captured the day perfectly. Such a fun day. And that is so funny James got that catfish on video 😂
Love yours too Kaity!
Feels more personal, I mean vlog
@@helloaldrian thank you ❤️
You are so lucky to live somewhere so beautiful. Keep up the good content.
Epic knowing such pristine aquatic environments are a stone's throw from bris. Well filmed thanks guys
What a wholesome trip. Pleas do more! I really enjoyed this video.
That ute is so epic! What a set up. It's miles ahead of what I used back when I did aquarium fish harvesting back in 2005-2007. all I had was a Ford aerostar, with some big plastic tubs in the back, and an inverter to run air pumps, and stones. But the guy I worked with had the van custom air brushed, with scenes from shallow Hawaiian reefs. So that was pretty cool
I enjoyed seeing the Rainbow fish in their natural habitat. 👍
Mt Nebo/Glorious is the gift that keeps giving. Such a great video and so good to see one of my favourite places up close on camera
now that EVERYBODY knows where this is - there won't be a fish, a yabbie, a plant left in that stream or others nearby. Everybody will want what's there & it will be stripped entirely. This is a VERY BAD THING they're doing!
Beautiful. Loving the views and the greenery. First time I’ve ever seen that part of Australia. All we ever usually see are they dry parts in movies or on tv.
Thank you Jason, for all the work you do. Thank you Nick, for the amazing video; glad you got out of the store and had some fun. Australia is beautiful. Happy Holidays
Thank you for your kind words 🙂
It's nice to see where some of the aquarium fish I see at stores come from. I live in America and go out to observe our native fish but I don't see videos about it from other countries often. Thanks for the awesome footage.
Ive been watching your videos but i clicked on this just because you have such a cute smile! You seem very sweet and i love your passion and care for animals
Good video Australia is so beautiful. This has to be one of the best videos that you have done so far. Thank you from sharing.
This was perfection! It looks like you had a blast. Those ecosystems were so beautiful.
Thank you for sharing with us your adventure! I would love to see more of these in the future.
Tremendous video! I'm living vicariously through you guys right now. We're having a blizzard here: 9 degrees below zero, 40 mph winds, a real arctic storm. Nice escape watching your video, thank you. Greetings from Indiana, USA.
Nick, that was incredible. I honestly can’t think of another video that I have enjoyed more than this one.
Thank you Darryl!!!
All of these locations are beautiful, I would never want to leave.
Walking creeks and rivers for driftwood is great, have scored some stunning pieces from sections through the Finke and Hugh rivers around Alice Springs
As someone who want to have a small fish business and who’s favorite FW fish are Rainbows….your channel has been giving me life lately. Love your content🐟💙
constantly taking from the environment will eventually cause extinction - why can't the prevention of that be a priority?? It's all about 'I want' - that's the trouble.
Hi, it,s Mac from England. I really enjoyed the video, 30 years ago when my childrens were just kids we used to go to a river where there would be 20 or so kids in it useing hand nets to catch minnows and sticklebacks but 10 years ago I took my grandson there and there wasnt any fish < they had been mostly killed off by farmers who put pesticides on their crops but when it rained the poison ran off into the river and killed off the eco system. I have 2 ponds in my garden, 1 with goldfish of various kinds and the other is a wild pond with frogs, tadpoles, toads, and newts. we have dragonflies in the summer months plus allsorts of insects in the pond. I look forward to your next video. all the best, Mac.
What a group of talented, smart induvials!
Beautiful video Nick. You really took us with you :)
Australia is just Paradise Wow, I wish I could live in Australia ❤
Unfortunately If everyone lived here it would not be paradise for very long. I have seen Australia deteriorate significantly over the last 50 years
Great vid! Thank you. Also, when adding reagent test drops make sure the bottle is held pointing straight down for the most accurate test. The size of drops can be affected otherwise.
I miss this so much, used to do a lot many years ago… thanks for taking me along, loved it!❤️🇦🇺
Amazing to see where all the fishes we keep come frome! Thanks
I love those eastern stoney creek frog tadpoles! I will have to go check this creek out! I’m surprised I’ve never been there before as I live near Ferny grove
My man is a whole new level of brave, walking barefoot in australia
nick i already sew kaity channel and was waiting for soooooooooo long for you to post your version of the vedio i would love to go fish collecting but i live in antigua

Beautiful water shots. Construction equipment looks like they're going to be doing road work with the grader and road reclaimer.
Beautiful. Glad you guys have such an appreciation for your local wildlife.
I have kept freshwater fish for going on 50 years. I have a 75 gallon today with assorted rainbows. Rainbows are my favorite.
Nice video best video this year on fish on UA-cam.
Yes, more videos like this! Great video, thank you!
The collab I didn't know I needed! Jason's channel has entertained me for years and has some amazing footage. Maybe you could do a fishroom tour because I think he owns some biotopes as well!
brilliant stuff.. love the idea of local fish breeders spreading local fish species back into the aquarium hobby.
Oh wow what a wonderful experience
Great change of pace for us viewers as well. Beautiful land! Inspirational footage. Nice job!
Fantastic video; already a big fan of Jasons channel, but really great to see some more behind the scenes, and see your enthusiasm for these natural environments
Thanks Greg! your channel is part of my inspiration to start documenting my underwater footage 🙂

What a beautiful place to be able to go do this and see where these fish come from and their natural habitat. Thank you for sharing this and taking us on this journey with you. I know I don't comment often but I do watch all your videos nd love them.
Lovely presentation, thoroughly enjoyed the whole video and admired the knowledge and respect shown by all concerned.
I absolutely love your videos, I love seeing how you take care of your fish. You are the one that inspired me to put up my aquarium again. Those Australian forest your went to were absolutely gorgeous. Keep up the good work. Your so lucky your in Australia. I wish I was there too. I love in Florida. We have amazing fish here in our lakes too.
I didn't even know that Australia had a rainforest, this is pretty cool.
Hey Nick what a great trip. So jealous, thanks for sharing.
Cool video! Thanks for making it, I love Doublayi Rainbows!
This is probably your best video yet! I was so captivated all throughout. Brilliant work!
It was -4 below 0 Fahrenheit when I woke up. I love winter but, uck! This video was a little escape from the cold!
I'd be collecting all those blue rocks for my aquarium! Thank you for this video - very interesting. Will drive around Australia one day! xxx

This was amazing! I'm from northern Europe and for me it was so interesting to just see Australian nature, especially the part of nature in which I as an aquarium enthusiast am the most interested in. Would definitely like to see more videos like this! :)

Never stop doing videos brother. You educate and inspire our comunity!! Cheers!!
Hey there Bud. Really cool video. I am glad nothing ate you during your little walkabout teehee...
I've got 10 rainbow fish in a 60 gallon, they've actually grown quite large over the past 2 years. Beautiful colors on each of them, and great fish.
Really enjoyed your outing. Would love to see more of this. Like to see updates on breeding attempts with your newly caught species.
Awesome video. Great to see some of our native fish in their natural habitats. Good luck with your breeding project!
Fantastic! Looks like “heaps” of fun!
