Jamie you do a great job with your vlogs. Love watching you. Fresh off QAnne had similar cabin one deck up. Loved the location and cabin. Felt more spacious than NCL ocean view cabin. Marvin our cabin steward showed us a couple of features I wouldn’t have found. Light switch at bedside had night light. It lights up under the closet door in front of bathroom door. Does not disturb someone sleeping. Telephone has a USB port for charging. Loved one deck below Commodore Club. Great for reading a book with a view. Cunard has a standard of service that is hard to beat. Everyone was kind and helpful. Love the British passengers a lot of fun.
It's OK. Just not what I expect speaking as someone who's always longed to try Cunard. You have picked up on the flaws perfectly and also given credit for the plus points. Very informative and covered the very important features - good and bad. Great job 👍
I love the way the cabin is decorated, great colours, nice bathrooms. Me and hubby would need cabin each tho, couldn't put up with his snoring and Gipping all night with no escape 😂
Little tip, put hand luggage, bags etc on top of the vanity unit. We also removed the life jackets out of the wardrobe and also placed them on top of the vanity unit too. Move the stewards box under the bed further up and make room for a case. Magnetic hooks are great too, especiallyabovethebin alcove. Great video Jamie, lots of info 👍
My brother and I have just left Queen Anne and had the long way inside cabin. The cabin was beautiful but a little on the small side. Room service was challenging 🤣🤣🤣
I had an inside cabin on the Queen Mary and while I think it was around the same size the layout made it seem less cramped for sure. I had a great stay in it. I do love the decor of this cabin though! The desk looks so nice with that wall paper and back lighting, very up-scale. The designer even made the horrible patterned carpet they have on all cruises look good in this one!
My solo outside cabin on QV was bigger than that though the bathroom was dated. What I notice is the narrowness and the taking out of flat spaces in yours Jamie. I had table, desk, a chest of drawers all of which could be utilised. Plus I asked for and got an extra chair. So in 17 years Cunard have managed to improve the bathrooms a bit.
Having spent 20hrs at sea twice in the past week on a smaller ship on an "out and return" trip, I know how I felt being amongst so many people and noise intrusion (as someone who likes their peace and quiet!), and I think everyone - no matter what class of cabin is taken - needs an escape from crowds and noise when you are going to be on board for a few days. Every cabin needs comfortable seating to enable you to take some quiet time and privacy, and would help bring cruisers back time and time again. Hotel rooms are often like this cabin, but in a hotel you can escape to other buildings or a lounge (often rarely used by more than a handful of guests unlike on a ship with hundreds or thousands of guests milling around). On a ship you are subjected to overflow music, voices, eating venue noise, and announcements constantly so if two can't sit in their cabin to read, do a bit of work, or watch tv without having to lie on the bed, especially in an inside cabin, it would be a no from me. Eating a delivered meal in there would be pretty unrelaxing for two people. Those little luxe items don't make up for a dismal cabin experience.
Definitely cramped, but I do like the decor. Closet space is very limited for a line that insists you bring tuxes and gowns. Laundry service pricing isn't bad at all. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of the ship/trip.
Thanks for the information Jamie. Booked this cabin last month for a 2 week voyage coming up soon. Regretting it now. Also the tv on the side of the wall isn’t great. Am a diamond member and never ever get offered an upgrade. Looks disappointing Love the accent navy wall though. Hugs Scotty x
We had a different configuration room. They do feel small and the lighting isn’t great. It was a little difficult for us both to get dressed at night but we did a 2 night cruise to Hamburg so it was ok wouldn’t like to do a longer cruise in an inside but never say never.
Great review. HUGE NO from me - I couldn't do an inside that small. However, if it was an outside with window then size would be great for a solo. Re the bottle of fizz (Pol Acker), did it say Blanc de Blanc ?? My favourite wine many years ago was a Blanc de Blanc. Can't get these days, only in fizzy (very expensive!). I have to wait until next year for my 10 day cruise on Queen Anne (balcony, by the way) so will definitely be watching this and your next one with interest (and a slight green tinge of envy). Enjoy 😊❤
Other cabins are better on Queen Anne for inside cabins, I was in 4151 a few weeks ago, and the layout had the tv at the end of the bed so much better layout, and ability to watch tv. Plenty of room and there was two of us. We had the same box under the bed, but managed to fit two large suitcases underneath. Always had a balcony before but we found the room just fine and would stay in that room again. Also very quiet location.
I love the shower in that cabin! I worked on cruise ships and spent 12 years of my life getting "violated" by those horrible curtains every time I took a shower. I would have given a kidney for a glass enclosure!
Hi Jamie yes the cabin looked very cramped the bathroom was a good size especially the shower they have a wide range of breakfast items though more then some cruise lines hopefully you didnt get a crick in your neck watching tv funny angle fantastic video ❤
Somewhere other than bed /dressing table chair to sit on would be nice. Sure they have little sofas in insides on other cunard ships? Assume cunard hasnt adopted p&o spirits policy?
Hi Jamie! The inside cabin looks really cosy 😊 Theyr'e very nice but I wonder if the dark colours behind the bed and dark carpet make it look smaller? Love the magnetic notices, very cool! Nice touch the stewards name being left for you... small bathroom but really clean styling and a whopper of a shower! Fab room menu 😊
It’s smaller by square ft than the other Queens’ inside cabins and by some other cruise lines. The space around the bed is tiny in comparison too. I like the colour schemes tbh
I spent 16 nights in one and 7 nights recently both on Queen Anne it was fine actually it=never bothered us being inside and we saved a lot of money in fact the money we saved paid for another cruise.
@@TravelBlogJamie yes I wasn’t having a dig I really enjoy you channel and your honesty, inside cabins are not for everyone but the cost of balconies especially on Queen Anne I think are outrageously expensive. If you again go again try the inside cabins try 8136 there sideways inside but a lot bigger, unfortunately the tv is still on the side wall lucky for me they gave free neck massages every day by the pool 😂😂😂😂
I never see the savings on inside cabins that make it worthwhile, sometimes a third less at best. Im not against an inside cabin but they need to be better value than that.
It looks ok, but I don't think that I could do more than several days in there without going crazy 🤪 I'm one of those people who would be happy sitting on my balcony half of the time, enjoying and relaxing. So a balcony would be deal-breaker for me.
@@TravelBlogJamie 🤣🤣 thanks. I was going you would say you snuck it on cough cough. Haha. Good vids, keep them coming! Oh, you don't know anything about the kids club on board? Can't find any info on them. Sailing next month and daughter is curious!
@@TravelBlogJamie since that experience my husband has decided that balcony is worth the money! We went on Ventura recently and had a balcony cabin- it was so nice!
Passengers on longer cruises don't have to totally unpack everything from their luggage and hang it up. I never unpack everything. Only as the days go by.
@@TravelBlogJamie I never completely unpacked, even in hotels. I guess a lot of that comes from the numerous times I've had to move to a different room because of issues, I just take out what I really need. Thanks for all your videos👍
Hardly screams elegant, timeless luxury. Not sure it even whispers it. Too small - nowhere to sit and eat, tricky to get in bed - should this just be a single room? All feels very tight - and that includes the single sachet of instant coffee per person. The amenities seem to treat you with suspicion - hangers without hooks, and a hairdryer that doesn’t trust you with more power or a longer cable. With the nice treats, like the toiletries and linen, this creates a split personality but areas that fall short will always be in the back of your mind which should never be the case when you are supposed to be experiencing ‘luxury’.
A triumph of design over practicality. It looks as if Cunard (Carnival) tried to cram in lots of cabins to bring in the bucks so compromising on passenger comfort and cabin space. A big NO-NO for me.
That’s tiny! Particularly as it’s inside and therefore no window that looks almost claustrophobic. Nowhere to sit comfortably is not good, are you supposed to watch tv or just relax sat on the bed? The decor is nice but that really is too small for me, and dare I say it someone who is larger. Maybe as a single traveller it’d be ok…
Great Vlog! Very informative and indicative of the class structure that’s traditional with Cunard.
Although inside cabins on the other queens are bigger than this - these are new style Cunard cabins

I would be tempted to stay in this cabin I,ve never stayed inside but i like this cabin its so modern 😊
👍👍👍
I’d be happy with a broom cupboard to get on a cruise right now 😮
There’s always that (but important to report back on value for money / space available - you can get a lot more space for your money out there)

I agree that a cabin is / should be more than just a place to sleep and get ready
Hello Jamie. We had the inside cabin as well. Agree with your review. You had to be Linda Blair to watch the tv. All in all it was a nice room.
lol 😂

It’s ‘fine’, just expected more from Cunard tbh
You can use the cool setting on a hairdryer for curly hair, it sets the curls.
I’d never know this
Far too small but agree with you love the blue colours and the shower is fab.
Agreed 👍
It's as I'd expect from inside bit roomier than some of other cruise lines inside cabins. Like the burnt orange flash bed runner
Which cruise lines have smaller standard insides than this one looking at square ft out of interest?
This cabin would be great for a solo traveller.
Yes, agreed, even then there’s still no table and chair like on the other Cunard ships
