Glad you mentioned us about Arayna Manager and how we heard and saw how you were treated! We actually put in a complaint about him too as he wasn’t great with us! Agree with food too, it was ok but although we will be going again I would give this restaurant a miss! Nice to have met you later on in the cruise!
Oh thanks for commenting again - I know sometimes people will say I’m ‘exaggerating’ or ‘creating drama’ and you’re absolutely the unbiased on-looker!!
Great video, Queen Anne looks amazing. Loved your tour around Rotterdam, thanks for sharing the details of the water taxis. We must have misunderstood the tourist information lady as we thought you had to ring them on request- they looked so much fun, I could just do that all day 😂Drinks package looked very steep prices, the drinks do look more interesting to the standard but I think we’d pay as you go. Bit worried that they all seem very strong (AF) and not much mixer. 👏
Thank you for part one Jamie. Looking forward to part two as sailing on Queen Anne in January for sneaky 4 nights to Hamburg with friends. A bit concerned about the service so far as hubby and myself came off two weeks on Marella Explorer 2 on Thursday and every member of staff was amazing and the service was fabulous.
What a great video and glad me and Chrystal made the cut , lovely to meet up for a drink . The manager was a bit abrupt with most people but we had a fab meal out main courses were great , I had the beef and the biryani ❤️. Till we meet again our friends ❤️❤️
Looking forward to part 2, and hearing about your experience on Gala night. We were also on this cruise, so know it was chaotic in the MDR that night. Two hours from start to finish. Other than that, we loved it.
Had a little giggle at maffoo in the dressing gown, cos it looked small on him, whereas we had to roll sleeves up. We had similar inside cabin, also found it very small , with a well placed tv( not). According to Nicola ( head of customer services) brackets have been ordered for the tvs. Cunard are also aware of problems with service in the main dining room, ( we sent them an email), it was intetesting to see you being taken to the lower dining room which is for fixed times.. Hopefully things will improve because queen Anne is a lovely ship
Super blogs. Very informative and a touch of comedy. We found QA great. Quite modern in comparison to others queens. Agree the staff were quite miserable but I’m guessing they were so understaffed at times and the Britannia Restaurant had such little space the waiters were almost do a chassis with each other to negotiate their way round
Love watching your vlogs as I find your descriptions great and I love listening to your voice! 🤷♀️ But, I’ve never been in a cruise as I do get travel sick - have been travel sick while flying before after a bit of turbulence and do get car sick at times. My husband would love us to try a cruise but I worry so much! Any thoughts Jamie. Xx
No, but ones that stand out are Disney, Virgin, Fred Olsen, Marella in terms of consistency and something unique to offer (I’m hoping Princess will join that list as my last cruise with them was excellent - let’s see if the next is just as good, plus Cunard QM2 transatlantic was amazing but Queen Anne experience less so)
Oh my god! How rude that restaurant manager was, very unprofessional looking at his watch, then not believing you with your reservation 😮 shocking! Great video as always x
Hi Jamie that was a small cabin no space at all them cube houses are weird not for me Matthew is so funny hes little quips lol how rude was the restaurant manager theres no need fantastic video ❤
Hi Jamie watching now, silly question do they give the bowl of salty crisps complimentary or do you purchase ? Such a nice touch! Looking forward to our first experience of Cunard and Queen Anne, same cruise, next October. Thank you 😊
@@TravelBlogJamie thank you, fabulous! Went to Rotterdam this year on Apex missed the surfing! Will defo try find that next year!!! Loving the vlog Jamie 🤗
@@TravelBlogJamie Thanks, I’m not great with those step ladders due to having fibromyalgia, proper steps into a pool are better for me. Think I might try to get a weeks thermal/hydro spa pass as reckon that will be so good.
They say short cruises tend to be booze cruises but I’m hoping that’s not so much the case with Cunard. We’re doing this cruise next year on QM2 to celebrate my wife’s birthday and it will be our first taste of the line. We’re very much hoping it will be an experience to remember. Do we need to keep our fingers crossed?
Sorry that your experience in Aranya wasn’t a positive one - we really enjoyed it, but did get in just before you. We arrived about 20 minutes or so before you I’d say, so I’m surprised to hear they treated you like that - glad to hear you generally enjoyed what you ordered though!
Lovely ship, odd crew with attitudes at times and hit n miss service in certain areas. No idea what's going on with that crew (culture clashes? Not enough crew?)...it was verging on bizarre on one occasion.
Love all your travel vids Jamie but sorry cunard, a lovely piece of pork belly does not belong in a bun. That pork belly looked delicious and looked so wrong in a bun, sorry Jamie but it is my opinion. Glad you had Matthew with you this cruise.
If they charge for a soft drinks package what on earth is left to drink that’s free?! It’s not as if it’s a budget line. I’d expect decent teas, coffees and all non alcoholic at least. We tend to go for what on paper is an expensive line however everything is included so it always seems wrong paying for each item. Don’t get me started on speciality dining. I don’t want to be charged for eating in a restaurant when I haven’t eaten in the MdR for example which I’ve already paid for in my cruise price. I know it’s a personal thing and each to their own. I just find it annoying as you’re effectively charged twice to eat. Agree that drinks package price is ridiculously overpriced but so is adding on a service charge per drink.
@@TravelBlogJamie I don’t think so 😂 I’m just surprised at what has to be paid for extra on a not cheap line that is considered more luxurious. Ship looked lovely though and that wellness cafe looked good. I’m looking forward to part 2.
@@TravelBlogJamie P&O add up once you add on the “extras”. We added on what we normally have in a cruise just for fun after seeing the advert and the price rocketed from a basic advertised cruise fare. It makes it so hard for people to compare cruises when the lines all have different packages (even down to who includes what in drinks packages) and things included or not. It would be easier if it came down to cabin size and style but not that simple. Our first ever was Celebrity. We’ve enjoyed Princess and a couple of others too which were all inclusive ones. Princess was before the packages and prices changed and Celebrity was 2019 before everything changed 😂 it’s a lovely way to travel and that feeling when you step on board is wonderful. We all appreciate that you show so much and are fair in your videos too.
You could see the attitude of the manager looking at his watch when you walked up!
I didn’t even notice until editing this!!

Yes, I had same on Marella - it was much more mixed for us in QA but hopefully they’ll iron out those issues

How about a short cruise that doesn’t go too far / has an overnight stop - and take sea sickness tablets in case
Congratulations on your 32k 🎊🎉🤗
Thank you 🙏
Next month I am doing a Westbound Transatlantic, via Le Harve, on QM2
Enjoy - I loved the experience
Great video again. Do you have a favorite cruise line now you have tried so many?

Had no idea Rotterdam was that good..on my list now. Good video you two!
It’s soooo good there
I can just see Cunard's report card now... "Must try harder !". 😉
They must!
Thanks for an interesting vlog Jamie. Did you know that Waitrose sell Whispering Angel rose wine.? 🍷 xx
Yes, we had one before and it wasn’t good lol
Great vlog Jamie. Just welcomed Oreo 2 the family. Black and white boy age 2.5
Oh beautiful - congrats 🥳
Oh my god! How rude that restaurant manager was, very unprofessional looking at his watch, then not believing you with your reservation 😮 shocking!

Yeh, he needs a lot of training
His "there's no need to get upset" to Jamie comment made my blood pressure spike!
@@breadyegg likewise - kept my cool on the outside but in the inside…

Exactly! Especially as we were bang on time!

They mispelt Smoothies on the menu! (Someone is going to walk the plank for that).
