I prefer the colored captions. Makes the video 10x more accessible at lower volumes / faster speeds / for people who prefer captions in general. An alternative could be to use the built in caption feature rather than editing it into the video itself, but that is maybe even more work.

Hi, I was orange in this game. To add context in this game i believed all the VPs in the deck were gone. I thought i had 3 and blue had 2 so i didn’t think dylan could win with road
also i’m not a kid, i’m a female player

Was I the only one who thought using the road building to go all the way to the wheat port might not have been crazy?
Setting up at the 348 and the 3 for 1 port is more flexible and sets you up for 2 settlement spots instead 1
Not a good move. Yes it's a 2:1, but it's got such a weak production it ain't worth it. It's far more important to ger 348 for a strong ows game.

But LATER in the game, he absolutely had opportunities to get over there and should have done it
That's what I was thinking, he could certainly get the other spots later and the 2:1 although less flexible is literally 50% less resources. And would allow for porting for the brick to get the other locations. I don't know which is for sure better, but I think that the two for one is a viable option.
I 100% prefer the captions exactly the way it was before, It makes it so nice to watch when out since i dont have to worry about volume or sometimes their mics arent the best.

Is there ever a world where you use the road building to get to the 12/11 wheat port first? And then hustle a brick to not get cut off my black on the 3/4/8?
I really enjoyed the colored captions in the other video I watched. It helped a lot to distinguish what was being said and which player was speaking.

Think 9 2 10 pointing upwards might have been better play, allows you to double up on the 10 ore and you start off with a free road

we need facecam over the chat, we’re here to see you not what ur chat is saying. Also the other players captions are good just because it’s hard to hear some of the time and the board is 95% always visible it’s okay blocking it some of the time
Why not go 10 8 5 in the beginning? You talked about blue potentially taking it, but you choose before him. No one else will be interested, worst case is someone takes 3 4 6 (unlikely as they want the 8 ore). but even then you can go on the 10 9 with the same resources, and even potential to cut blue off the brick port. Either way, with wood brick you'll win the race to the sheep port, have strong production, useful ports, and all 5 resources.

hi, i'm new here and i was wondering, how to you track so accurately the other people's resources? i always feel like i'm doing well if all players are up to at most 4 cards each but after that i just seem to stop being able to keep track... do you just keep track of resources you need and might steal? or rares resources?

I much prefer no captions, or put the captions exclusively on the bottom left over the ocean. The captions blocking the board were tough for me trying to make sense of the board state, since the table talk was so frequent.

It's incredible how you always manage to downplay your position to the others to the point that they give you trades that you should never ever be given... that 2 bricks for a single wheat in the end from orange left me speechless. that is a trade you would give to someone you need to get road in order to prolong the game if it's clear he's 2 far behind to win..... not a trade you want to give to someone who's clearly at 8 points and can easily win thanks to his crazy set up with 3 cities, 6 peeps of ore, 11 peeps of wheat and 11 of sheep and a 3:1 port...
another point where you managed to get an insane trade was when blue in the beginning gave you an ore in exchange for a sheep (that he didn't even need) and a non steal, after you already blocked his ore tile anyways. It was obviously better for him to just let you rob him for a random card.... rather than handing you the only card you needed to city up.
