Check throttle position sensor voltage with a scan tool. If its over .5 volt change it or unbolt and and clock it as far forward as you can and bolt it back on the throttle body. There is other reasons but when I had a higher than normal idle. it was that

Yea 96 has a bigger evap solenoid and another wire on it because itsOBD2, Monitors for everything

That the optispark vent hose. It's supposed to hook up 2 your optispark to vent it.

There should be a diagram on your radiator shroud
that's where you put your fuel pressure tool to check, if it is at the end of fuel rail behind fuel pressure regulator
Maybe they did the throttle body bypass?

Still make the Valve Cover hose think everything else is discontinued. just get bulk hose from Napa that is same spec
What would cause fuel to come in through my intake?
