    Quick tip. If you ever have a rubber or plastic hose or pipe that you need to put a bend in, fill the tube with fine sand. Then, heat the rubber to melting point and bend. The sand will prevent the tube from kinking. Once cool, you have your shape and it stays round. Then just empty the sand.

    For the 90 degree hose just use a spark plug boot. Cut off the boot and add a clamp to hold it together.

  • @MidnightBlue98
    @MidnightBlue98 3 роки тому +6

    A lot of people are quick to blame the opti spark for these symptoms but as long as you get a high quality one and the water pump doesn’t leak, it holds up really well.

      Thats what I read a lot thats why I'm not jumping to the the opti. I ordered a new ac Delco coil pack and icm. Imma swap it out this weekend and give a update video.

    Might be a blocked fuel filter. Change the fuel filter. LT1 fuel filters block up every 10,000

    Hey bro, been watching you for a while and love the content, if you have any questions on lt1 stuff let me know. Check your icm, if it’s not that, you can check the resistance at the opti harness and if they aren’t in spec it’s definitely the opti. I don’t remember what they should read but it’s on google.

    Also try running a high mileage seafoam through the gas tank but make sure your exhaust system parts are clean enough to be doing this because if not it's going to run all that junk right through the catalytic converters and plug up the cats

  • @jeffh6971
    @jeffh6971 3 роки тому +2

    i would try running Seafoam on a half tank of fuel til its almost empty, then change your plugs. At the very least you have clean(er) injectors and new plugs. Maybe holler at Jeremy at Faster Proms, he's got some good experience with gm LT engines.

    • @EVERYTHANGDIESEL

      I added a 1/3rd of seafoam to the tank haven't drove it enough so it can get cleaned up. But I know seafoam works from past experience

    Believe it or not one thing that does help with this issue I noticed in my 92 Roadmaster for the voltage fluctuation is you have to make sure that preheater hose is installed in the air intake going to the exhaust yeah it seems like such a stupid thing but that and yeah make sure you're running 93

    Hey guy, check the idler air control. Mine was carboned up. I had the same issues. Did a video on my channel. Worked like a charm. Too many blame the opti or EGR and its the idler air control.

    that broken hose goes from purge canister solenoid to intake manifold, you can not find the elbow to intake anymore
    but you can use spark plug boot ,and it work perfectly
    as for the first hose, you can just block it off at throttle body and put small filter on top valve cover,(all it does suck the fume and sent to intake to burn! you really don't need that!
    P.C.V is on driver side right next to tiny vacuum hose coming from opti vent with one way check valve, which blue side should be facing towards intake manifold

      After changing my icm,coil pack, broken vacuum lines it still did it. So I changed my optispark, plugs and wires and she ran like a dime. Start small and go big. I did the others first that way I wasn't changing my opti for no reason but now she run smooth again

      But yeah a check engine light could mean anything in which I'm sure you already know.
      But from what you described the first thing I would do is check the air filter sensor and if that still works then I would go through and pull each spark plug make sure they don't have any buildup.
