Angelina's heart and soul is as beautiful as her voice. When she was 6 and on vacation with her mother and grandmother in the middle east. She met another 6 year old that was homeless and barefoot. She was weighing people for money. They talked about their dreams, Angelina gave her her shoes, which happened to be her favorite and promised to never wear shoes whenever she performs until all the kids have homes. She wrote a book (Between Two Hearts) about that experience when she was 9. Her winnings from Norway's Got Talent went to charities. Before she was 13, she raised over $21 million for charities.

Angelina is a Norwegian born child prodigy in music. She's a singer/ songwriter who's arranged over 180 covers and 5 originals, all since the age of 7. Angelina began singing at 18 months old. At 2, she began teaching herself how to sing, focusing primarily on the jazz masters of decades gone by. These are artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James. She's also influenced by Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, and Adele, to name a few. She's also been said to be the girl of 1,000 voices. Yet even though we can hear the phrasing and style she puts in the songs, it's always Angelina that we hear.
At 7 years old, she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent. She was the last to audition. The judges had no idea who she was or what she could do. They saw a diminutive mussy haired, barefooted girl with her teeth still growing in. For her audition, she performed "Gloomy Sunday" from Billie Holiday. On TV-2, they've reported over 14 million views of this performance. This does not take into account the many hundreds of reactors showing this audition to millions more.
Needless to say, Angelina went on to win the 2014 season of NGT shortly after her 8th birthday. The family was bombarded with requests for performances, interviews, and record label offers. They turned down 90% of the requests, as they insisted that Angelina should enjoy a normal childhood.
That didn't stop Angelina from performing at select engagements around the world, singing for Heads of State, and even Barack Obama. She's spent time and worked with musicians such as Quincy Jones and Alan Walker. She first appeared on American television, The View, at 8 years old.
Angelina auditioned for America's Got Talent The Champions at 13 years old. She made it just up to the final selection of the final 5 when she dropped from the competition. It wasn't that she wasn't good enough to be in the final 5, but it was because she refused to sign with an AGT affiliated label, should she win. She knew very well what production hungry labels could do to her music. She even turned down Disney.
At 14, Angelina signed with Republic Records. Republic gave her complete artistic control as well as control over the performances she would make. She turned 17 on January 10, 2023, and will graduate from high school after the spring semester. From then on, she will embark on her full-time professional career. She's been working closely with Republic on her first album under their label. It's likely that it will drop shortly after her graduation.

Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity.
Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and is signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records have agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. She has a new album of original music which will be coming out this year. She recently returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience.
Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a shoeless homeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to be a superstar, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. One of the reasons why we love her so much!

Ladies welcome to the magical world of musical storytelling by Angelina Jordan. Angelina is a self taught jazz singer who can sing just about any genre. She was 16 for this Elvis tribute and now at 17 is about to be introduced to the world with a new song later this month and a album of original songs later this year. PLEASE take the time to read the biography I compiled for Angelina, as the only things which exceed her musical talents, are her humility and her empathy.
Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
*Why Angelina always performs barefoot*
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are.
Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old.
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried.
Musicians working with Angelina would call her the boss since she knew exactly how she wanted to sing the song and would confidently instruct the musicians. While one could say Angelina was mimicking other artists, there is no doubt she had her own style and created her own arrangements, even at this early age.
Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition to trim the number of vocalists who passed their audition, and was not performed in front of an audience.
In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them.
In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists.
When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. The vast majority of the prize money was donated to charity benefitting poor children.
Record company executives flew their private jets to Norway to attempt to sign 8 year old Angelina but all were thankfully rebuked. Disney also made an offer but not accepted.
In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration.
Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore and Mexico among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14.
At age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. The album can be purchased on iTunes or Amazon.
On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year.
During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each.
In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter and allowed Angelina to copyright her version. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT which would give Simon any control over her career.
Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on UA-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On UA-cam, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video.
The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her.
During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles.
In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one.
Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield”
In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song.
Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022.
In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles.
On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the hundreds of millions.
Personally, Angelina as a great human being and her music came into my life when I needed it most. Her music has improved the quality of my life more than I can express. I now introduce her to as many people as I can, with the hope her music will do the same for others. We know once her family believes the time is right and allows Republic Records to fully promote her, she will become the superstar she has always dreamt and believed she would be.

The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of."
Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song.
The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family.
Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).
This version by Angelia is just stunning. She is such an amazing artist.

Angelina specializes in her own musical vision for a song. She has around 200 videos on UA-cam that include some of her originals as well. She also does a lot of charity work and sings barefoot as a reminder of a meeting with a shoeless Middle Eastern girl when Angelina was 6. Angelina gave the girl her shoes and they agreed to pray that they'd both achieve their dreams. I am happy to see your (her) generation listening to Angelina since she mostly covers older songs much of her fanbase is from older generations. I think this will all change with the release of her upcoming album.

If you really want to be amazed by her, check out some of the stuff she did when she was little. She has so much bass and soul that closing your eyes, you'd think you were listening to an older black woman, instead of a little girl from Norway. She won Norway's Got Talent at age 7, and blew Simon away on America's Got Talent, at age 13, doing her own spin on Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. She is very unique.

Great reaction to a vocal tour-de-force! You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (160+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice!
If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40-piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come.

Ladies nice to see you have met the young Icon and Legend Angelina Jordan Astar or as I like to call her the Song Whisperer or the Future Queen of music. She has been recording almost on a professional level for 11 years, and had over 170 songs/videos to Enjoy. Every song she does is atranged by her whether at 9 or her current age of 17yo. Plays four instruments and is multilingual. Hige humanitarian who has raised over 22 million euros herself for childrens charities. She just gave the go for her label to start showing her off as she is very family oriented and has been very well protected from the darkside of the industry. I true rolemodel for women everywhere. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. English is Angelina's 3rd language behind Norwegian and Farsi along with Japanese and some German and perhaps more. She is well known worldwide in the industry. Her family and Angelina have been holding back turning down many of the biggest in the industry while she finishes school. Remember she just turned 17 January 10th. They finally signed with Republic Records about three years ago after getting a deal that gave her control of her artistic vision and has since released 2 originals, 'Million Miles' & '7th Heaven' plus a soundtrack for the New Movie "The Hating Game" which opens with her song 'Mercy' performed most notably by Duffy. Republic has labeled her their Highest Priority and assigned a team to her including Rob Christy a multiple Grammy Winner, often on the piano in many of her performances and a whole team of equally qualified professionals. She has worked with some of the best musicians in the industry and always get exactly what she wants. They call her the Boss and have immense respect for her. She has been diligently perfecting her craft since winning Norway's Got Talent singing all over the world, Germany, Japan, Korea as well as TV appearances such as The View, Little Big Shots and most notably America's Got Talent where she premiered her Iconic Performance of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' which Queen gave her the rights to record her own version available on ITunes and Spotify included on her Album 'Magic' which she released on her own along with a Christmas Song collection. Why does Angelina sing barefooted? Angelina Jordan is known as "The Barefoot Princess" or "The Barefoot Princess of Jazz," amongst many other names. She always performs barefooted, whether in front of a live audience or during a studio performance. The story is that while living in the Middle East, at 6 years old, Angelina came across an orphaned girl, of her own age, sitting in the street, weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn money. Angelina said to herself, "I would like to share her life for one second to know what it is like to sit alone, wet, and damp, and barefoot in a corner of the street." Angelina could see the girl's bare feet were scarred and that it was cold outside, so she offered her own shoes to the girl. Little Angelina says that she really loved her shoes, as they were very nice and she knew she would miss them. But she saw the other little girl’s need for them, which outweighed her own desire to keep them. So she insisted the little girl take them.
Angelina called her Princess, even though the girl said she didn't live in a castle, but the ruins of a building next to where she sat. After sharing their hopes and dreams, the little girl said of Angelina's wish to sing for the world, "You will become the one you dream of and when your dreams come true, you have to remember the poor children without shoes; and I will pray for you Angelina.” Later that day, 6 y/o Angelina wrote in her diary, "The world is very strange. Right then and there, I felt as if a door in my heart opened up, and it was filled with lots of lights. It was as if there was, from Earth to Heaven, a staircase. I climbed the stairs. To be able to do something for another human - it was such a big thing…hard to describe really.”
From that point on, Angelina takes off her shoes, in honor of ‘Princess’ and all the other less fortunate children of the world, who are orphaned, hungry, or in want of even basic clothing. In 2015, at the age of 9, Angelina wrote a book about the encounter, as everyone continued to ask why she sang barefoot. Her grandmother, Mery Zamani, created the artwork for the book. So at 9, Angelina Jordan became the youngest published author in Norway. Angelina has performed alongside many other artists, raising attention and helping to raise over 21 million euros and millions of dollars for children in need.

The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it’s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance? I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I base my interpretation on my knowledge of Angelina's journey from an 18 month old little girl singing a "classic" of music history 'I Will Always Love You' . She has been listening to these classics on repeat on YOU Tube since then under the guidance and inspiration of her Grandmother Mery Zamani.
She has been performing these classics since her first time in studio at 6 yrs old.. She has continued this journey through her 1st introduction to the world with her "Classic'" 'Gloomy Sunday’ and following with her many performances at her many Jazz Festivals, TV performances, Concerts, and charity events, studio recordings and practice sessions at home accompanied or not. The location in the Antique store represents these classics (like the furniture) of another era. To me she portrays wonder at all these classics surrounding her. as she has travelled this road. Her tribute to Elvis is at her present age, today, each stage represented by her cousins and sister and ending with Angelina herself on the couch still admiring all this history surrounding her. The beautiful rendition of the song, and other tributes are in the leather outfit, Guitar and hair a tribute to Priscilla. Just my interpretation but it makes the most sense to me. ♥👣👸🏻

That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? So many people feel that quality in her voice that sort of soothes and lifts you up a bit. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet.
Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English, Japanese and Swedish.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally.
Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot:
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.”
Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world.
The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 6 year old.
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried.
Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience.
In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them.
In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists.
Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on UA-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old.
In December 2014, Angelina realized a life long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration.
Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14.
A 9 years and 2 months old, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs.
At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a UA-cam video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances.
When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident.
On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year.
During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each.
In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT.
Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on UA-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original.

The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager.
Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her.
In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one.
Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield”.
In April 2021, her original "7th Heaven" was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song.
Angelina has concerts scheduled in Norway in July 2022.
Personally, Angelina as a great human being and her music came into my life when I needed it most. Her music has improved the quality of my life in more than I can express. I now introduce her to as many people as I can, with the hope her music will do the same for others. Wich is a music video simply made by them having a vacation at the beach. Angelina tends to hear that she sounds and looks like Amy Winehouse,wich happens to be one of her favourite artists. She fought her parents to be able to cover one of Amys darkest lyrics Back In Black. Angelinas solution was to do improvised lyric changes to the song,present it to her mom who then finally accepted. Angelina has never been pushed into singing,she sang Whitney Houstons "i will always love you" at only 18 months old by hearing her family play the songs in the background. And once she could talk properly,she said in an interview that: "singing/music for me is like breathing". She also explained how seeing people tear up by her performances,or seeing people happy gives her huge amounts of energy.

Tiny Little Girl
Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.
Her family has never confirmed her height so I have no idea why you're stating it like it's fact. It's also not relevant to her ability to sing. "About 6ft" or simply "tall" fine. Are you going to start posting her weight and shoe size like its facts? Your speculation has actually become a distraction which is really a shame.

With all the gimmicks that are used in what is known as music today it is so refreshing to come across a being that does not need auto tune, lightshows, dancers, outrageous costumes, bands, or orchestras to cover their weaknesses because she has none. AJ can perform a Capella, or with one or two instruments to follow her lead and give you chills with each performance. I have always enjoyed all genres of music, and being 75, I have experienced the best the industry has to offer, from the early 50s, to 2023, but I have never been moved emotionally in the past anywhere close to what Angelina Jordan does from 7 to 17. When I heard Celine Dion perform in a tint in Québec when she was a child, I predicted she would be the next world superstar, and the rest is history. Celine did not sign a record contract until she was in her early 20s. David Foster, who made Celine a star flew to Norway after Angelina wone NGT and tried to sign her, but her family wanted to stay in control of her future. Angelina, at 13, appeared on AGT and getting worldwide recognition signed with the largest record company in the world at age 14, Republic Records. The story is that Monty Lipman, the CEO, and known as the Star Maker, personally signed her even without meeting AJ, he was shown a video of her performance. Angelina has a distinctive voice. Always recognisable but somehow she will often chanel aspects ot the origional artists voice so if she is singing an Elvis cover it sounds so different from one of her Lana Del Rey covers like BORN TO DIE. Or Miley Cyrus NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART. Or any Adele cover. She kills anything by Adele check out last years (16 years old) ALL I ASK Or EASY ON ME. That's why she is the only artist I have listened to every day for 8 years. Even last year when I thought I knew her voice she opened a jazz concert with a Labyrinth song MOUNT EVEREST. It is this versatility that has made me watch every clip from ages one and a half, with a mike to now. There's a lot of them.

If you thought that was a voice, listen to Diana Ankudinova covering the Elvis song "I Can't Help Falling in Love" - Angelina is good but Diana has what has to be called a once in a generation voice

To each his own. I myself don't find Diana that impressive. Is she a good singer? Yes, but IMO she doesn't sing with the emotion and feeling that Angelina puts in every song.
Angelina is much better than Diana and will be a bigger star than her.
She has a great voice but she has over sung this, the original beats it hands down
I think I will be the token 'dissenting voice' here .... she seems to have a nice voice, but for this song I found her delivery not to my taste: I am not fond of the breathy, earnest style of vocals.
