In this one it's so simple. A piano a guitar and Angelina's voice. So many other flash in the pan singers use Control Board Magic to cover up their faults. Angelina NEVER does. What you hear is her...honestly.

She turned 16 in January. She is a child prodigy. I like your analogy of a time machine. Instead of that, she studies the lyrics and finds all the nuances there and puts it all into her vocals which pour into our hearts and touch our emotions. It’s not even a once -in-awhile thing, she does it all the time to us, the listeners. Like you said, you’ve probably cried every time so far. Next watch her Valentine gift to us, My Funny Valentine. She’s promised a long awaited album sometime this summer.
In her always exceptional style she has arranged a tribute to one of her special mentors that has helped her develop her voice and style. The retro feel, gold for his wealth, mirrors for his always in the spotlight image, chandeliers for his stately extravagance, the black pantsuit and red guitar of his 68 Comeback Special, Pricilla's hair style, her pose at times reminding us, or maybe just her, of some of his positions, the song choice, and her ever engaging bluesy style of slowing it down, starting off with a voice that hauntingly but beautifully reminds us of his, and that she's maturing. It seems to be a fitting but sad tribute to a "Good Thing" that died far too early and far too sadly. Excellent reminder that fame can easily corrupt. No one delivers or elicits emotions better than Angelina.
Regardless of the number of choices that she made with this cover, Angelina creates appropriate music for our time.

What a rendition! Gandma Mery produced this. Looks like she used the same store she used for My Funny Valentine! Her sister Juliette was the older girl. The 2 younger girls were maybe her uncle Mike's kids? And, of course, Rob Christie on piano. What a great cover! I was not expecting this! Funny thing is, this was almost 4 minutes, but it flew by and felt short! Going to listen to it again! Man, this gave me chills! 16 years old! Sheesh!!!

When I am watching this and I'm realizing it just right now.... Angelina is like singing on time lapse and she got us all there. It's like it's just a 4 minutes song but it feels like 4 decades that has gone through in the duration that she sings. She's transcending us into this undefinable feelings. Everything about this video, reminds of Elvis, (with the black leader outfit seen with Elvis on his 68 come back tour on TV) his wife Pricilla (and her hair style); Graceland (with the beautiful chandeliers), the red guitar (I believe one of Elvis’s real guitars) and her arrangement of this song giving this great classic a new, fresh sound. Oh, and by the way, at the piano is Rob Christie, multi-Grammy winner and director of the Republic Records Studio in LA.
Why did it end? I guess it had to end but I could have listened to this all day and all night.
She turned this Elvis Presley classic into a version which we can say was spectacular. There is no stopping her and I believe we are on the edge of seeing her go to another level. After seeing and hearing her complete her series of Concerts this summer the sky is the limit for her. Rob Christie, the piano player who is an executive at Republic Records and a multi times Grammy Award winner was fabulous and in all his years in the industry I doubt he has ever enjoyed playing for someone as much as he does for Angelina.

The two youngest are Angelina’s uncle Michael’s children. The older cild is Angelina’s younger sister, Juliette. Angelina’s grandmother, Mery Zamani is the executive producer of this video.

The song was written by Mark James. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, he is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." and, in my mind, Angelina's rendition is much truer to the lyrics than any other singer, including Elvis.
The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family.
Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. I paste below the order in which Angelina sung the verses.

Have followed her since January 2014, when she was only 7 years old. Totally mesmerized by this tiny little girl singing Gloomy Sunday with the voice and experience of a 60 year old whisky-drinking woman. Her gift of storytelling has always been there. G. ANGELINA IS 16 YEARS OLD IN BODY, but her mind is at least 36 years old. God or the universe gave her the gift of a deep voice and an IQ that shot through the house roof. She also is a Emphat. At six year she wrote sentences into her diaries, that most "normal" people can´t comprehend (I read her book several times and will again).
This is not anymore a girl, this is a woman and now a professional.
A few days back she started her career with her concerts in Norway. An album of her will come out soon (this year) and her label RR will accelerate her career with PR. Hopfully she will come to my hometown of Stuttgart (the Stuttgart Jazz Days) the next year. Some of us German "angels" will meet each other and listen to her voice for real. I was never a huge Elvis fan, even though my mother was, and she played his songs all the time, but I have read in the comments last night that this tribute was complete. From the black leather jumpsuit that Elvis wore on his comeback tour and the red guitar, to the hairstyle reminding us of his wife Priscilla from the early years. This young lady and those she works with are masters at what they do. And she was still paying tribute to a blue eyed Persian girl she met weighing people on the street 10 years ago. Not to mention her two little nieces and her sister being in the video. She truly is a treasure, and this interpretation was solid gold.

I loved your reaction so much I subscribed to your channel so I could give you this message. Angelina Jordan fans young and old are hard-core. And those of us who have followed her since she first came on the scene know just how special she is. She’s wearing leather out of respect for Elvis because he wore a lot of leather. Her hair is in that style because Priscilla Presley wore her hair like that a lot when she was married to Elvis. If you look at the video where she’s laying on the loveseat you can see that she’s also wearing blue suede shoes ♥️🇨🇦♥️
Full on tribute and respect to Elvis by Angelina. So much pure Class is this young girl, believe she could mentor a majority of the mainstream "Stars" in pure poise and Class. Her rendition of this beautiful Elvis song is simply stunning and hits you right in the Feels. One of my favorite songs. One of my favorite singers. Never imagined it like this. LOVE her Elvira hair. I suspected right away it was her little sister. The absolutely beautiful way she takes her time with lyrics adding meaning to certain words is craftsmanship at it's finest. Never imagined it so slow and gorgeous. She is endlessly amazing.

Your not alone in your emotional reaction to this stunning performance. IMO, if a person watches this magical and jaw dropping performance and isn’t emotionally affected by it the they are cold hearted. The common denominator amongst all of us, Angelina’s angels, is the tremendous magnetic pull we experience. Angelina’s voice embraces and pierces our souls. She draws us in while making us feel that she is singing directly to us individually.
I’ve tried to express and articulate the all consuming and overwhelming visceral affect she has on me, but I have come to the conclusion that it is an exercise in futility. I can say that Angelina casts a magical spell on us. Her voice has a soul healing affect on me. I always come away from an Angelina performance feeing better for having done so.

I read in the comments that this tribute was complete from the black leather jumpsuit that Elvis wore in his 1968 comeback concert and the red guitar he used, to the hairstyle reminding us of his wife Priscilla from the early years, and of course there is 2 time Grammy winner and Republic Records Studio Director, Rob Christie on the piano again for her. This young lady and those she works with are masters at what they do. And I'm sure you noticed that she was still paying tribute to a blue eyed Persian girl she met weighing people on the street 10 years ago. Including her two little cousins and her sister in the video was just showing how important family is. She truly is a treasure, and this interpretation was solid gold, and STILL only 16 years old.

The Black leather suit is what Elvis wore on his 1968 comeback tour. The red guitar is going up for auction and expected to start at $250,000 and come n at $750,000 to 1 million. Don't think that is the actual one. The hairdo is paying tribute to Priscilla Presley. She also has a soundtrack part in the new Elvis movie coming out tomorrow. AMAZING
