My 2 cents, this guy is spot on. I got a firm spring mattress, slept on my back. It was a bit ‘sore’ for a bit as I had all the issues he described. But I noticed I woke up refreshed, awake…alert. On my side it was like my oxygen and blood flow was being cut off for hours. I stand up straighter, when I sit down my back is propped up straight. I feel better, I look better. Its going to suck for a few weeks but once you master this it might be life changing….now the downside… Sleep apnea, sometimes the back is the hardest and if you have apnea get it checked out! Or work on tongue posture.

If sleeping on your back is new to you, and you can't relax, I'd recommend sleeping with a weighted blanket. I use a lighter child's version and it helps me to not feel exposed since I slept in a fetal position all my life. Sleeping on my back has relieved so much pain.

Will sleeping on my back without a pillow help my neck hump be reduced or even go away eventually?

    • @cheapbruh9778

Yes! but not without activities during the day, that work out those neck/shoulder muscles to pull back your neck and a proper posture while working.

Can anyone explain why it seems my breathing is restricted when i tuck my chin in without a pillow to sleep? I just tried it for a couple of minutes, but I don't think i can fall asleep like that.

I can . Your tongue is not in proper placement . Most people are mouth breathers and while u sleep the tongue should rest on the roof of your mouth. It actually should always rest there . We have come accustomed to breathing w our mouth . Which is incorrect . Look up videos on mouth taping at night . It was a game changer for me . Been doing it along w back sleeping for a year . Did blood work and it improved dramatically . The videos will explain when u breathe through your nose you get Nitric oxide (NO) is released in the nasal airways it is only released in your body through your nose which helps oxygen in your blood helps cholesterol , blood pressure oxygen to your brain… neuroscientist recommend mouth taping for
Optimal health . I use m3 surgical tape but they sell special mouth tape.
