I started sleeping on my back after I saw your first video about it. It was great advice! I had deep chest creases from side sleeping. At 72 I thought erasing those wrinkles was impossible. Well, they are gone! Still sleeping on my back all the time. Thanks, Angie!

My chest wrinkles are gone, too, and they were deep creases. Exfoliating in a Epsom salt bath with an oil (coconut, castor...) and baking soda scrub will help moisturizers to absorb better and it helps to lighten sun damaged, spotted skin over time. Keeping your arms at your sides while sleeping is key especially if you have larger breasts and wrinkled cleavage. Been sleeping elevated, on my back for over a decade now because of migraines. I'm 55 (and a half) and have no migraines, no visible wrinkles, but laugh lines are there, because I smile A LOT 😁.

I recommend a pillow under the knees if someone is still having back pain when using the wedge. Elevating both my upper half and my knees, while it feels funny at first, really helps with pain and aging bodies.

I will have to try adding a knee pillow. I find I am sliding down my pillow and wake up at the bottim of the wedge. Or I have low back pain because there is a gap between my lower back and the narrow end of the wedge.

I was one of the viewers who did this and sent you pictures a few years ago! The difference is astounding! I look like I had eye surgery. Started training myself to sleep on my back after watching one of your earlier videos. It immediately helped with my sinuses and shoulder, neck and hip pain. After a few months, I noticed that my smile lines were decreasing and my hooded eyes looked a little better. Thank you Angie for your advice! It's making a difference in my life every day. For those of you trying to get used to sleeping on your back: Try a smaller, 7" wedge. Try one pillow under your knees, another pillow on your chest (to hug), and a third pillow under your head (pull it up to touch both your cheeks -- like an airplane pillow). I find this so comfy, that I now wake up on my back, even if I fall asleep on my side! Once I found what was comfortable for me, it only took about a week to get used to sleeping on my back.

I started sleeping on my back due to severe acid reflux. I started out using a wedge due to the fact my head needed to be elevated. It has made a world of difference with that issue. Another thing that helps to transition to sleeping on the back is a weighted blanket. It gives the feeling of security the way sleeping on your side or belly does. I was so happy to hear all of the anti-aging benefits that come with sleeping on the back. The benefits of it are endless!!

Thanks so much for the tip! Sleeping on your back really does help with facial puffiness & creases. I use a pregnancy pillow to not only prop me up but it sort of gives the upper body a hug so it holds me comfortably in place. It’s smaller than the pillow you got your daughter so you can still share a bed with someone!

I just had surgery that required me to sleep on my back. It's something I've wanted to start doing for a while. I actually tried looking for your information before the surgery, but couldn't, so it's crazy that you put this video up now, lol. Thankfully, I have an adjustable bed. Having the legs elevated seems like a huge help. I also designed my own pillow a couple years ago that has been really nice, and also using a travel neck pillow some. I use the wedge pillow plus another pillow on top of that to stabilize my head. No joke, the first day I woke up from doing that my under eye puffiness was almost gone. I didn't have the chest wrinkles. After a couple of months of doing that my eye hoods are greatly pulled back to the point I haven't even gone in to update my Botox. Not going to lie it was quite a challenge the first week sleeping like that. I've been a dedicated stomach or side sleeper all my life. Sometimes I even contort a little with my body slightly side facing and my face up ha ha but I wouldn't recommend that (neck tweaks). It really does make a huge difference.

This is such great advice, Angie. It is an inexpensive, non-invasive, natural and reasonable option to slow down wrinkle formation. I didn't think it was possible after being a lifelong side-sleeper, but I have been able to sleep on my back for most of the last 2 nights. A couple of times I woke up and found myself on my side, so I forced myself back into position and was able to go back to sleep. I haven't purchased a wedge as of yet; I'm just trying it out with the pillows I currently own. I find it incredible that anyone would criticize this video. It's so simple and worth a try.

So sleeping on the recliner is how I trained myself to sleep on my back in my bed.

But I think the my face pillow could really help me switch. I can still easily snuggle to get sleepy and then move to my side and back sleep. Angie....you have the best videos. You’ve inspired me to do what my ENT doctor (she’s also a plastic surgeon) suggested to change to sleeping on my back! It prevents all that yuk sinus drainage into your sinus which is a large part of under eye bags. All the allergy yuk drains to your face while sleeping. I have allergy/sinus issues and my doctor told me that it’ll make a huge difference for waking up not congested and prevent aging my face with creases etc. I really didn’t believe her but now I’ve heard it in multiple places people and doctors. I’ve been wondering how to do it and now I feel confident I’ll be able to learn how. Thank you! Thank you!

Thank you! I was doing so well with this, but then a bout of insomnia happened and I went back to side sleeping. Now I need to start over again. I think I will try the wedge! I appreciate the standalone video because I've tried to search for the video in which you talked about it, but I could never find it. Thanks!

Finally working on back seeping. Love your feline supervisor. :-) Mine, a 12+ lb. black boy, sleeps with me, keeps me company day in, day out, speaks when spoken to, and accompanies me on walks. I've been blessed with a number of exceptional cats over my 67 years but this guy, Max, tops the list. People say he is more like a dog than a cat. I wink and say, "Don't insult him." He has good "people sense" and likes the sound of your voice. He is always near the laptop when I watch your vids.

As always, thank you for this. I'm a lifelong tosser/turner. I've had a wedge but wiggle my way toward the foot of my bed to toss/turn. I wake up with a crick in my neck and, sometimes, peripheral neuropathy. Today is Day 1 of attempting, again, to sleep on my back. Will try the yoga Tree Pose. Day 1 of Retin-A, too - guessing better late than never on both fronts.

Thank you for all the great information you share. Because I used to have BAD hay fever and allergy to fine dust the 20 years I lived in Los Angeles, I had to sleep without a pillow on my back so my nose wouldn’t run and that I could sleep, I got used to it, but in the last years I slept on my left side (because of a brain tumor) and noticed my right nasal labial line was bigger 😣

LOVE the wedge! No longer wake up with a puffy face and eyes and chest wrinkles are GONE! Use two pillows on top of the wedge. A soft flat one at my back and a firm, fuller one for my head. Before, every morning felt I needed to press a golf ball into my right glute to alleviate the pain and now my lower back and glutes are PAIN FREE! That was life changing!
Also, got one for my husband and his snoring has cut way back AND It’s saved him from needing a c-pap contraption to keep his breathing airways open! It DOES take a couple months getting used to but SOOO WORTH IT! Thanks Angie

I've been sleeping on my back for about a year now. Initially I did this because I have severe TMJ. Sleeping of my side was pushing my jaw to the side. Sleeping on my back has not only helped my jaw, I also noticed all the things you mention about less puffiness, dark circles and shoulder pain, and of course that wrinkle on the chest. It took some time to get used to, but eventually you do. Thanks for sharing Angie!

After watching one of your older videos where you focused to sleep on the inclined pillow to help your eyes seem more open, I made the effort to sleep on my back and have seen some of my sleep wrinkles really diminish! I'm 37 and noticed some verticle creasing above my eyebrow. I was using a retinol serum to help ease it away, but it really improved after changing my sleep position. I actually purchased the Posture Pillow after seeing ads for it on IG, and now I have less sleep wwrinkles AND my neck feels soo much better than it has in a long time. Angie you are the best!

This is a great video. I started waking up in the middle of the night chocking due to sleep apnea. I already struggle to sleep and cpap machines are kinda loud. My husband bought me a wedge pillow last Christmas and it has been extremely helpful. He said he doesn’t even hear me in bed anymore….and I no longer snore. I had a huge chest wrinkle for years….I can’t believe it’s gone, but it is. I still wake up on y side sometimes but I am going to look into the pillow you shared that stabilizes your head. I think that will definitely help. Glad I found your video noting the anti-aging and other benefits. There are so many!

So for those of you who can't sleep on your back....Here's what my physical therapist recommends. Most people sleep on their left side. The heart side. Sleep on your left side with an elevated pillow but pretend like you have an orange in your right hand and place your right arm behind your back as if the orange was down by your butt. Your neck will thank you and you won't get wrinkles on your chest. I've been doing it for 10 years and I'm 54. I don't have one line down my chest and I don't wake up with neck pain. I appreciate Angies recommendation. I could just never sleep the way she does because of low back pain. I still love her advice!

Thank you, thank you for this video, Angie! Because of your recommendations, I bought the 10” wedge and the Your Face pillow. I couldn’t sleep on the wedge, even with extra pillows cupping my neck, so here was my solution and I am SO HAPPY with it!
I put the Your Face pillow on top of 1 “My Pillow” and 1 down pillow.
I use the wedge under my knees.
I have never had such good night sleeps, and I wake up in the same position.
I think I will also buy the wedge pillow cover because I find that it is very warm as is, and with the upcoming summer, it would be too hot to use.

I switched to my back after viewing one of your previous videos and boy does it make a difference! I had a deep crease on my chest near my collar bone and it's gone! Also, my eyes had started to look a little hooded and they don't anymore. I've been doing this for a couple months is all and I can already see a difference. It does take getting used to, but eventually it gets easier.

Oh my God !!!! My shoulders !! 🫢
I lost the range of motion in this area around a decade ago.
Everytime I try to do a full circles with my shoulders it reminds me of changing my sleeping habits.
Then I get busy with my day and I forget until next time. 🙄🙄🙄
I also remember a few decades ago, trying it one time and having to switch position 'cause of an horrific lower back pain.

I had a breast surgery a year ago and was forced to sleep on my back. Fortunately we had a bed that adjusts so i dont need the wedge. Also i just kind of naturally fell into the peter pan pose while sleeping. It helps! I just recently got botox and restylane and the spa tech said to sleep on my back. Then just yesterday i had my second breast surgery...so sleeping on my back is a must! This time i bought myself the airplane neck pillow and it keeps my head in position. I plan to try to keep sleeping on my back and not revert back to being a side sleeper because of all the benefits!!! Thanks for such a great video on this subject Angie😍😙

I fall asleep on my side but always seem to wake up on my back - I have no problem sleeping on my back. Those who suffer from GERD symptoms will most likely love that wedge pillow as it'll help that malady. I, personally, have 2 herniated discs in my lower back so just lying on an incline can exacerbate my back pain. I'll put a roll pillow (also found on Amazon) under my lower back which helps immensely. Great video as usual!!
