They must be thinking its going to be a dry summer, wouldn't surprise me either. We are getting some rains now but the water may shut off. Nice clean looking Fendt planter. Thanks Mike !

Hello Mike. I'm a big fan of your UA-cam channel and watch every new video you bring out. I live in Belgium (Europe) and love all the big equipment machinery that you film in each video. It's a great joy for me to see and hear these big articulated tractors, combines, forage harvesters... Some of this equipment we don't see at this part of the world so it is always interesting to see this machinery in action.
I want to thank you for all the time and effort you take for making all these video's and also for the background info you always give us in each film. Keep up the good work!!!

I’m an Agco guy my family has been with them for years…Every time I see Fendt it looks overly expensive and complicated. Agco has put so much emphasis on Fendt it feels like there isn’t anything American left.

It must work for Agco. What they loose in American market share they must gain worldwide. Germany has had significant innovations especially in forage harvesters.

I would want to see how the row cleaners perform following a row of stalks.
Personally I’d hit the stalks in the fall with a regular or high speed disk.

So back in the "2008 German Beekill Incident" 11,000 behives were destroyed (more than 350,000,000 bees) in the planting season (april may) because of air seeders blasting the dust off the clothianidin seed coat used that year. The "sticker" coat had accidentally been omitted on the seeds that received a little more than 2x the base dose ( total 62g per 50k seeds) and the Canola in the area was currently in bloom. Sort of a perfect storm.
The air-seeder is likely the single most dangerous piece of farm equipment we have EVER used in the fields, both to us and to the environment.
If they hadn't been using air seeders to plant corn there would not have been a problem.
Maintain your air seeders and be careful when opening the handling equipment. Things like JD's brushes will load up with heavy amounts of sticker+chemical that will glue onto your skin and anything with moisture downwind.

I looked it up and this isn’t quite the whole story. It was a freak accident more than anything else. The seed treatment had more than double recommended levels of the insecticide, and due to a manufacturing defect didn’t have the “stick” to hold everything to the seed. Not an inherent problem with air seeders, but rather an unfortunate accident in manufacturing.
