great info, thanks. i do have a question, maybe you can help. i have the same car about the same miles and when i put a load on the engine (for example in drive and have the air on) my rpm's will fluctuate dramatically, between 1500 and down to a few hundred, it's even shut off a couple times. i cleaned the mass air sensor with the correct cleaner. that seemed to work for a short amount of time. any other suggestion or should that be an indicator that i need to replace the mass air sensor. thanks
This didn’t work. I also have service engine soon. Could I have the service engine soon light because I did not reset the maintenance indication? My car was recently worked on and a lot of work was done on it and the oil change was included.
@@jenjoestar. we bought it brand new. Only 15 miles on it. We never ran into any issues. We don't have it any more. We traded it in for a mini van. However it did great in snow and was great on gas. We loved it while we had it.
That is something you will need a programmer. Helpful tip tho. You can just reset your trip mileage to 0.0 when you do an oil change then change it when you hit your desired mileage
@@andrewgraver_outdoors3033hey Andrew. I’ve got an odd ball situation with my 2015 outlander sport. my routine maintenance message keeps popping up (even after resetting it). As for setting the mile countdown until the message appears again, instead of it being zeroed out, I just have dashes instead of numbers. would appreciate some advice as to what is going on.
I've been riding around for a year with that notification!
Glad you got it cleared!!! It's the little things lol

Try the fuel filter. They can get gunned up and it is a fairley cheep fix if it is the problem.
@@andrewgraver_outdoors3033 thanks, i'll check it out. that mass air sensor is about $300, i think.
Change the Mass air flow sensor. Pretty easy to do and clean the air intake system
I would say if you cleaned it and it seemed to fix it for a little while. Try replacing it.
Thx brother
Thank you !
Any time!!!!
Thank you
Absolutly. Glad it helped

U da man
Just trying to make life a little easier lol.
I did say “clear” but when I turned on the car the wrench light is still there. Bứt “Maintenance required “ isnt. Should I get a service?
this light is on when the car need serveral services, no only oil services. maybe you need a scan
