Hahaha I did this to my 2011, set it to off. I have a hell of a “service engine soon” that I can’t make it disappear. Mitsubishi is VERY complicated to set these things. Thanks for the video.
I have a 2016 Outlander and this video, more than any other, was excellent! Thank you!!! For the longest time, my interval read 28400, crazy!!! I managed to changed it to 7 months which is more realistic due to the short distances my wife drives. Thanks again!!
1) great instructions! As a newbie car mechanic, this was extremely helpful (everyone I work with was busy). 2) I love the little mini story in the comments with the Japan intervals 😂
Awesome info! Love the fact you took the time and figured out all the settings. That is Top of the Class right there. I noticed on my 2011 Outlander GT... my NAS 10 = 16600/7 months so I imagine each vehicle has its own set of rules. BTW 1st time ever commenting, that is how much this helped, also along that line. I don't get how 2 reply 2 Manny Destura (he commented 8 months ago) But I believe all he has 2 do is Redo what you said again ...this time OFF will be selected and cycle to origin of country like NAS or EU and select appropriate 10,20,30 hold to set. Wait for it complete... Then it will appear as if your mile/months is due for change then reset CLEAR and he's back in the count down
Thank you! Bought this car from dealer and they didn't even know how to do this!! It was stuck in no maintenance. Luckily I've been using the trip 2 as the maintenance milage lol
Great video, thanks for making it. It help me a lot, the hardest part is figuring out the random number, but I'll tinkering out a little. Again, thanks for this amazing video.
OMG! You have no idea what did video means man! Thanks a lot. EVEN mitsubishi dealers dont know how to do it. YES! I said, they don't know. Thank you so much. And you even list everything else in the comment. THANKYOU!!!
The last one at the end of the video that showed 3100 miles / 6 months and you said "That doesn't make any sense." does actually make some sense. In Japan that's 5000 kms / 6 months which is the Severe schedule. The Normal schedule of 6800miles would be 11000kms / 12 months. Those match pretty closely the schedules sourced from Mitsubishi which are actually 6,000km / 6m and 12,000km / 12m
Thank you so much! I just followed this for my 2019 Outlander GT PHEV and it worked. I somehow managed to get it to do 6800 miles / 12 months, which works for me since it's a plug-in hybrid and I don't use the gas engine very often. I took it to a place that is supposed to know how to work on Mitsubishi cars (it's even in their name, lol), but they didn't reset it for me when I got the oil change. 🙄
So monkey wrench here, I think every one of those single selections has 2 settings under it. The first is a shorter "breakin" setting, and the second (after you clear the first) is a routine setting that repeats.
Very useful, Thank-you. Works the same for 2017 Pajero Sport. I fumbled my way through and found a 'reasonable' reminder interval, but not exactly what I wanted....Most stupid system I've seen so far, and I service cars every day🤣🤣🤣
I have been using Autel and Snap on scanners to adjust the service lites but still very hit or miss. Also i think it takes off time and a drive to make the adjustment take effect.
These are a pain in the ass lol Have used many service manuals and stuff and can't find the actual meaning of the different settings... I appreciate you writing them down however on this 2019 model the nas 10 was different😂
Hmm. Make sure the engine is off and try both accessory and “run” with engine off. There seems to be a lot of variety in these menus for Mitsubishi. Hope this helps
I just set the B trip to zero when changing the oil and watch mileage. 3500 miles on trip B time to change the oil. Trip A i use to find out how many miles per gallon i am getting. at each fill up i set Trip A back to zero. When maintenance light comes on i just reset to what ever is on the screen.
on 2019 cross the wrench blinks and sounds beep and that is as far as it goes.... can not change miles or months and it is stuck on 18 months and mileage stuck on 8700 ????
Man your video is on point. I had one question, one of my little ones accidentally messed around with that button and some how turn off the oil service reader, do you know how to turn it back on I tried some of the things you showed on the video I don't know if I'm doing it right or need to keep trying but kinda not working for mine 2018 mitsubishi outlander, if you have a answer would be great?
Honestly not sure without playing around with those settings. I feel like I recall an off setting in there, perhaps choosing a low mileage setting and seeing if it comes on when that mileage is reached? Sorry I can’t be of more help.
@@RaceBreakRepeat no prob thanks man I was able to erase the routine annoying pop up reminder but to schedule a reminder I have no clue just cleared my trip A to remind to change my oil again thanks man👍🏼👊🏼
I gave up and turned it OFF 😂 . GCC 20 still said routine maintenance when the ignition key was turned on. Aus 2010 Outlander VRX /GT V6 I service it myself anyway and I’ll tell the driver to check the sticker, that reminds me I need to put a new sticker 🤦♂️ . THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! #legend 👍
Where is the select button for a 2019? I followed all instructions and let the “off” blink until it stopped but when I turn the car on it’s still giving me the reminder
This just showed up on my vehicle is it important??? Or is it just a built in thing with the car that doesn’t really matter if you service your car on a different schedule
It’s a maintenance reminder based on time/mileage only. Not directly linked to oil condition and required manual reset. You could change the oil everyday and this light could always be on and it would be fine.
@@RaceBreakRepeat sorry, wasn't listening properly thought you said you would include in comments, not the description Good work, very useful information thanks for your time doing this
Try, “ believe while in park, you need to pull the E brake and use the function select button just left of the steering wheel. I think you can toggle through different settings to get what you need.”
You can try this with the multi-information switch that changes the menu. Might work. Select the wrench and push and hold that button instead until it blinks.
@@RaceBreakRepeat I don’t think I even have that switch either. I don’t have the button you have and I don’t have the little info button and no Multi-info switch
I unfortunately don’t have one of these cars handy to help right now. Some of the years and models have small differences you may have to just trial and error it
This is the best explained oil light reset video I have ever seen! Thank you so much you make my job as a mechanic easier haha
Glad it helped! You’re welcome
Clear simple and precise instructions. You made it so easy and saved us so much time and money. Thank you so much.

Rayz, so glad this helped! I know it’s not perfect and years/models vary but hopefully it points people in a better direction!
Best UA-cam video there ever was

This works for a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander too. I'm just having difficulty finding the 6 month option again.

I have a '19. It's the INFO button to the left of the steering column.
great video ! would you happen to know how to reset the 4WD SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED warning light, too? it's driving me nuts !
Thank you! Unfortunately a 4WD Is not gonna be a reset-type fix, most warning lights require proper diagnosis unfortunately

North American standard. Australia. And so on.

I need to be reset at 10 000km / 6monts. Wich option for me please?
So what's the option for America?? I need it to be reset for 4000 miles
EU 11 : 4,300 might be the best you can do for that unfortunately
Thank you!!!
Thx allot. I was trying to clear it and I change the service to 20000 by mistake. Problem solved 👍
By the way GCC for middle east region.
Thanks for the info and glad it helped!
Any idea why it only shows trip A and trip B and the service indicator isn’t coming up?
It’s probably previously been set to off. Some can be disabled I think
@@RaceBreakRepeat hello, how can you enable it?
If only you could turn off the bing bongs this easily.....drives me mental!
Hi
My outlander asx 2011 maintenance indicator says off do you know how to fix it?
Don’t have access to the vehicle anymore unfortunately
Gcc 10 for my outlander says 3100 miles. For an interval
Seem to be many variances out there within the brand.
Where is the select button for a 2019? I followed all instructions and let the “off” blink until it stopped but when I turn the car on it’s still giving me the reminder
It's the "INFO" button to the immediate left of the steering column.
Severe is 3600 miles at 14 months. Normal is 15200 miles at 23 months.
Hi bro.
I try to do what you did,but my Mitsubishi outlander show me 6700 ,6 mounth
It seems different years have different ones. Some even different per display type/trim model. May just take some trial and error
Either way. That’s not too terrible with quality oil
Cool viedio
Mine is stuck on off. Idk how to get the display back....
Ack! I don’t remember how to do that now. Also, don’t have this car handy

weird. for me, everything you said sets it as 6 months, sets it as 7 months
Well, what the crap?! ☹️
Oohkay its been only week and now it says 6 months soooo i guess it just had a little technical issue😂
So i select NAS 10 and get 67000 miles 5 months

6 months don't exist on mine is only giving me 7 months 28,000 miles intervals
