You made me laugh bro! Love the car! I got a 2011 model my first car. I gotta say this model has never given me trouble. I pray it stays like that. But great vid for sure
The owne's manual for the 2015 mitsubishi outlander sports, specifications, capacity page has 4.2 qt for manual transmission, and 4.5 qt for automatic transmission. Also something highly recommended is to replace the washer on the oil pan plug!
Sir. Please dont lie. I live in Los Angeles and you can drop used fluids, oil, gear, etc. at any auto part store, garage or wal mart, for free. I do it all the time. That being said, i also want to move to Texas.
There is more than 1 engine on these outlanders. Depends on what trim level you have. 4.5 quarts may not be right for everyone make sure you check exactly what model you have. Some have the 2.2 engine and some have the 2.0
Complete noob when it comes to working on cars, but in addition to changing the oil and rotating the tires, what other standard checks should I be doing on the outlander (e.g. transmission fluid, washer, coolant, etc.?)
Yes those are good .. air filter as well .. also brake jobs arent difficult and you will save a ton of money ... The rest vety difficult with todays cards .. not made for owners to maintenance on there own car ..

I just love that it has a real oil filter and not one of those gmc terrain kinda oil filters
Liking the tool boss car maintenance
👍👍👌
You forgot to show people that the oil filter comes with a new drain plug crush ring gasket. At least the OEM filter does.
Good video @Tool Boss great work

I quit changing my oil when California made it nearly impossible to get rid of used oil. Now that I've moved home to Texas, maybe I can start again.

Love the change of pace with the auto mechanics video!! Boss spreading the knowledge!
Easier than changing oil on our 2015 Escape 😆
We use Schaeffer's oils and Purolator Boss oil filter
Yes Schaeffer's really good if it was my truck I'd try it .. not on this shit box

Gotta love those magnets.....
So all you need is a wrench, oil and a filter?
That be it .. and oil pan ..
Need to reset oil counting?
Quick question: What oil you recommend for a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander ES? My car didn’t come with a manual and need advice.
This is a 2020 .. the 2011 totally different engine.. a google search should definitely give you the answer
What # is the oem filter?
