"PERPETUAL FLAME OF CENTRALIA" Lyrics:
I am covered with the blood of Jesus
Fear is nothing when the path is righteous
I rest my head in a holy kingdom
Mine is the venom of the snake of Eden
Life is a song, a song
And the fires of hell burn on and on
Life is a song, a song
And the raging fires of hell burn long
#LinguaIgnota, #PERPETUALFLAMEOFCENTRALIA, #SINNERGETREADY #AshleyRoseCouture
From agonizing and terror induced vibrations of post-industrial filth to beautiful, melancholic and soul crushing hymns. Kristin Hayter is one hell of an artist, she's so unreal.
She might be one hell of an artist, but she's also one artist from hell.
am i the only one who thinks "kristin hayter" sounds a lot like "christian hater"? such a poetic name.
Her pitch control is incredible, so natural, captivating performance, her sustain on each note leaves you hanging on... Amazing.
she's a professionally trained opera singer and it shows. she is the best
This is heartbreaking. Her eyes. Her movements. I don't even like to wonder how painful and hurt she really felt recording the song and video. Kristin redefines my understanding of art everytime she releases something and I'm so grateful.
the Portuguese are savages, but you are right!
I'm a PA native. Rural southeastern. You are...just nailing what it's like here. I can't explain how but you are.
Hard agree
This does an immensely good job of evoking the feeling of a personal and internal Centralia. Not a raging inferno of angry emotions but a burned out, smoldering pit that has gone on too long and without an end in sight. Entrancing.
Beautiful analysis
Idiot
Wow.What a beautiful deep & 💯 accurate painting of this song.🖤
What is a "Centralia"?
@@Solaire_of_Astora13 it’s an (almost) abandoned town in central Pennsylvania. There’s a mine fire underneath it which has gone one for decades and forced the relocation of the whole town. Nothing can live there, but people did until they had no other choice.
one of the best artists of our generation EASILY
Definitely!
She is UNIQUE
YES
Sargent House is easily the record label of the year
I just finished listening to a documentary about Centralia, discovering that story entirely disconnected from my interest in Lingua Ignota... This music is perfectly ominous in relation to the plight of the people who lived there. The most poignant bit I learned from the documentary was a quote of dark humor from the town undertaker, who apparently would say "people might leave Centralia, but, ya know, one day I'm gonna bring them back."
What's the name of the docummentary?
So glad Lingua Ignota has gotten the acclaim she deserves. Deeply dark and beautiful.
The ultimate Dark Souls boss in her first phase... Holding your breath with thoughts of the terrors to come.
if my corpse would be cremated, play this while my ashes are being scattered
As someone who lives pretty much right between Pennsylvania Furnace & Centralia, these new songs are hitting even harder. Is the whole new album about the depressed & spooky parts of rural PA? Awesome...haha
I grew up in State College and Lewisburg, and feel 100% the same
@@trisloth drummer whose house I used to jam at a couple years ago literally lives in PA Furnace, haha
Just visited Pennsylvania, went to Yellow Dog Village if you’ve heard of it, abandoned mining village. These songs complimented the trip so well.
She did an interview with Anthony fantano last year where she said that that's where she was staying so I'm guessing she was actually really inspired by that area when making this record.
I grew up in Boyertown (outside reading sadly) which has a similar vibe
I love that Lingua Igonota is a look queen too now
i am loving these.. that demo "all god's love means nothing now" got me so deeply earlier this year. and this sounds quite similar. i don't feel like this is calming at all. it's pure agony, driven to exhaustion. i guess i needed that. sending hugs. tysm.
I love the way Lingua Ignota evolves each release , as her style changes I grow to love her efforts and works more and more.
I thought I recognized Ashly Rose Couture's work , very distinctive style.
Turning simple melody seemingly channeled from the past when the dust and dirt were the kings of our plane and ameliorating it to the metaphysical meditation through the everlasting torment of being - needless to say this ticks all the boxes of beauty.
I don't care what people say about this record it's a 10 for me.
Anthony fantano's review would agree with you, and so would I
Fantano agrees
This is one the most praise álbuns of the year haha wtf u been reading
nobody cares
Wowwww
Incredible
@@backxwash4831 YOU'RE incredible, Ashanti! Love your new album!
HEYYYY
WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN LOVE TO SEE IT
girl you have done it again
I can’t put into words how much I was blown away by the artistry of your music. On the first track of this album my mouth was open and I knew I would remember your name. Thank you, you are a visionary and I am so excited to see where you go next
Wow.! Kristin and Ashley Rose Couture is one hell of a perfect collaboration. absolutely beautiful and incredible.!!
Nico for the 21st Century. The highest compliment I can pay. Exquisite.
man fuck yes. I think about that every time I listen to this album. (also a high compliment from me since The Marble Index is one of my TOP5 records of all time😆). "The Sacred Linament of Judgement" always gives me strong "It Was a Pleasure Then" vibes.
I was thinking exactly this. Reminds me of her first self written album
Or the contemporary Jarboe
@FuckyougoogleIhateyou I could see some of Jarboe's intensity.
this whole album is truly a work of art. Such a beautiful expression of emotion that pulls you in right from the start
This album is absolutely masterful.
She really said I'm gonna give them appealing visuals this era. This was beautiful.
For the first time in my life, an artist that radically changes my understanding and expectations for how I consume music. Now, I think I understand when folks from the 60s explain how The Doors and Grateful Dead just re-rerouted the flow of the artistic river for a generation.
Every shot in this video is absolute ART!!!
I grew up ten minutes from Centralia. This album resonates with me in so many ways. Love you, Kristin. 💚
Looks like Contrapoints is about to drop the album of the year.
😂😂😂
This and in the best possible way
yeah
EXACTLY
My thoughts exactly.
I randomly saw this as an ad on UA-cam and was blown away. So now I'm here.
She has such great vocals.
I HAVE GOTTEN READY
i should have known you'd also have great taste in music
These chords, this voice, pure music artistry formed beautifully
One of the very best releases off this year
Such a beautiful song, and highly needed today. "There is no fear when the path is righteous." Thank you, Lingua Ignota.
youre joking right
@@noahleach7690 yes ggs jk
No, imagine a genuine reaction to music, if you will, and just picture that I've made it manifest through text, and that's all.
i don't want any argument or trouble, whatever. :)
@@RichardJaspering pretty sure you dont get what the songs about lol
@@noahleach7690 then i'll try again until i do, by your standards. lol it's not a big deal.
I'm in love with this woman
linguarbz stay winning
SAUR TRUE
I just absolutely love the aesthetic of this video
Sinner Get Ready is one of the most captivating albums I've heard this year. And my favourite. I'm just in love with every aspect of this record.
This is refreshing. A singer who doesn't try emulate other's voices like so many modern vocalists.
I really hope we get more Caligulesque songs on this album, but if it's all calm quasi-gospel then I'm all for it anyway.
Sad Christian Mom can do no wrong
She has stated this new record will be this style.
@@syndromBE sad christian mom or angry christian mom?
@@droogj Depresstian mom
@@syndromBE where did she say that?
It’s probably for the better she gives her voice a break 😅
criminally underrated
I am not Christian and if I remember right she isn't either, but I think her music speaks to my relationship with Christianity and religion alot.
She went from being a practicing christian to agnostic I believe, but I believe she still has a huge fascination for roman catholicism
All the best Christian mystics are ambiguous and opaque :)
I was raised Christian, not sure where I’m at these days, especially as the Evangelical movement has become a blight on the world. My parents sunk me into a cult when I was in high school. Being an adult and raising a family of my own now, I have this somber deep sadness over what damage the beliefs I held have caused so many, myself included.
I can’t even put to words how accurately her current direction illustrates my emotions about this topic. I’m really grateful for this new directions, I expect this record to impact me a lot.
Christian here, albeit more on the left-leaning side. It's just nice to see people appreciating the spiritual lyrical content since it's usually so off putting to most.
I'm a fierce ANARCHOSATANIST.
KRISTIN 'GODDESS' HAYTER's relationship with religion & christianity sometimes bothers me very much.
BUT
Then again, her talent & TRUTH are so incomparable that even a BLACK METAL enthusiast like myself gets swept away by the deep endings of her SOUL.
I think that's symbolic, the way she found to deal with her pain & scars.
Life is cruel, and time heals nothing.
I'm gonna go ahead and just comment Pennsylvania is a beaut on all these videos. Also, costume design is impeccable
Words fail me... This is hauntingly beautiful but also terrifying.
Absolutely stunning 👌
Oh wow! Everything about this is so beautiful. And Ashley Rose absolutely kills it every time. Pure fire ladies.
This song reminds me some things of This Mortal Coil, beautiful things.
I haven't been knowing Sargent House until some months ago, suddenly became one of my favourite channels on UA-cam.
A house of incredible gems.
This is the first song I have heard from this artist. First impressions aren't everything and all, but I won't forget my first time listening to Lingua Ignota.
Fear is nothing when the path is righteous! Very powerful and true
Dang. That was beautiful and those dresses too
So beautiful ✨ from the makeup to the dresses to the sets 🖤
How to make yourself feel really bummed out in the most beautiful way
Sinner get ready is such an amazing album, I can't stop listening to these songs.
Idk how to explain it. I’m from South PA, specifically in York, and I have never once thought about what it’s like living there or what it’s cultural identity is. Somehow you’re perfectly capturing what York PA is like with this newest crop of music, yet I can’t explain how
would you say, it's almost... Eerie?
@@lashtal you cheeky bastard
@@ByeByeDeadName I thought about living in PA, because people there always seemed super cool to me, and in movies the Autumns always looked so pretty on the trees. Is it a good place to live, would you say?
Also thought about living in Minnesota, because I heard people were Super Polite, Kind... but too much snow.
Intense! Can’t wait for the album!
such a great piece of work !! congratulations to everyone involved
Absolutely stunning.
Queen of everything
everything you do is so well executed, with such care, im inspired!
There are less than 5 songs in this world I ever heard that I wished I had wrote myself, and this is one of them.
So obsessed with this. Was afraid I wouldn’t like this shift in sound but it’s fantastic.
this is the Pennsylvania dark feminine blasphemy I've needed all my life
one of the greatest artists of modern extreme music
listened to this song so many times. just fantastic.
This is music that somehow my Christian mom would enjoy alongside me, even though I'm agnostic.
i literally just texted a link to my mother.
Funny; Caligula was a spiritual/religiously-charged album that my metalhead agnostic dad could enjoy alongside *me* 😅
@@danlet I partially attribute it to my family being Catholic. Kristin's music and the themes in it resonate with how I grew up, even though (thankfully) I haven't gone through what she's gone through.
Idk wtf is wrong with fantano how could he not give this album an 11/10
Fantano doesn't need to like it. It's his own opinion. People need to stop complaining about the opinions of others, you just look like some kind of sheeple when you parrot this sentiment.
@@joshyjoshyjosh dude it's a joke lmao
@@microwaved.spoons I mean ok but people actually say that unironically over and over about every piece of music he didn't like.
@@joshyjoshyjosh he literally gave this record a 10/10 lmao
@@eg4242 ok nerd.
Great video. The aesthetics of the images are sophisticated enough to accompany LI's music, which is not an easy achievement..
Great song!
Great imagery!
I kept seeing her everywhere recently and I'm so glad I gave into my curiosity. This is utterly staggering.
Another entrancing work, both in visuals and in song
Just a lot of love to you, Kristin!
I'm shaking with excitement
Spectacular!
Can't wait for the new album! Caligula is still in steady rotation for me.
Stunning!
This is ART. I'm speechless
Again - beautiful! Well done video ❤
simply sublime
Beautiful! Aesthetically pleasing.
Lovely, gorgeous and haunting
This clip is so tranquil and breathtaking!! Love your songs so much, Kristin!!💓💓💓
I can’t stop listening to these two tracks, they’re beautiful. It sounds like Cohen’s Songs from a Room but on piano and I hope the entire album is as powerful and brutal as these tracks. Caligula was good, but these songs are next level.
Dark and beautiful !!
Sargent House don't miss.
I like this video and all the work that went into it but I like the one she did herself for "Pennsylvania Furnace" better. I love both songs and after hearing them I can't wait for the pre order.
This is perfect
amazing really really beautiful
Truly Beautiful.
Great song
hauntingly beautiful
Coming back to listen to this to remind myself what real cathartic art is. I cant help but feel it hard due to paying money to see that prick that this record is about. I feel somehow a part of it in a very small way. I think this is her best work and it really affected me deeply
Wonderfull!!!
gorgeous
It's like Artemisia paintings coming to life with the most astounding music possible.
Please, Kristin, don't leave us.
Terribly exciting. Phenomenal artist.
Wonderful. Wonderful.
Stunningly delicate. Poignantly beautiful.
thank u lingy for my life xoxo
the chaos is coming..i can feel it
Words can't explain the unending state of awe and adoration she has put me in. To say absolutely nothing of the Genius visuals... what a BEAUTIFUL song! It's so So Beautiful... like I can see Heaven Opening before me.
