The '59 South Hamptons were my favorite. And the Ghia Imperials were... damn... something else.

👉1955 Imperials were fabulously elegant with truly timeless “ 1st year out of the gate “ exterior / interior 1950’s era luxury automobile styling …As shown & seen in this vid the 1955 Imperial had wonderfully drawn signature front end / grille styling, side & tail styling. The wheels were superbly showcased by the nicely done radius traced fender wheel cut outs…ChryCorp could have / should have just stayed with this exceptionally well styled and built 1955 Imperial out thru 1957 and then introduced a fully vetted and prepared new for 1958 Imperial which ChryCorp could then have stayed with thru 1961…The 1962 Imperial as actually styled / built for 1962 could then have been introduced with the distinctive 1962 Imperial split grille and fender top tail lights…The 1964 Imperial as styled had a nicely done split grille look that should have been kept out thru 1966 …ChryCorp should have left the 1955 Imperial alone for 1956 & 1957. 1955 Imperials were truly 1950’s American / Detroit luxury car classics. 🌟👉This 1955 Imperial Coupe is an all around beautiful example 👉5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

😉…Imperials became interesting to me during the late 1960’s in large part due to the small town I lived in having a funeral home owner / director who had a black 1964 Imperial Crown sedan as personal car and “funeral limo” …In later years ( mid to late 1970’s) I would & did find, buy & bring home several 1960’s Imperials …Starting with a 1965 Imperial LeBaron I came across on a Buick dealers used car lot that was being used to store tires…It was the fall of 1973 and the so called “gas shortage crisis” likely was in part why that 1965 LeBaron had ended up in that position…It was not even a 10 year old car in 1973 and back in 1965 would have been a fully optioned luxury car in the $6,000 to $7,000 price range …I picked up that 65 LeBaron for about $500 and drove it home …It was a loaded LeBaron with Ivory White leather seating surfaces & was fully optioned with AC, tilt steering wheel, Auto Pilot, AM-FM radio & had all power assists from 6 way front seat, vent wings & door locks…With some TLC detailing that top of line 1965 Imperial LeBaron high quality interior was looking very nice …As the 1970’s came & went I would also acquire a 1964 Crown Coupe with perfect dark green / tan cord cloth interior & a 1966 Crown Sedan …My “should have / could have “ Imperial moment was and will always now be when I came across a 1968 Imperial Crown Convertible that was sitting in a barn surrounded by straw bales that was all there and could have been had for $900…I came close to taking it home but due to hesitation over it’s unknown mechanical status & uncertainty about where to take and store it finally passed on it …As you may know the 1968 Imperial Crown Convertible was a very low production model by Detroit Big 3 car making standards and was the last year of that Imperial Crown model with only 474 produced …In way of comparison the all new for 1967 Cadillac FWD Eldorado had a production / sales #’s run of between 17,000 and 18,000…Love your 1955 Imperial …she is a beauty from front to back 🌟@@markeversonclassiccars
