Sadly the forestry service doesn’t have the authority to address this problem. The state needs agents to come in and clean up this mess and enforce squatting on public lands.
The county cops and authorities allow lying landlords to threaten, assault, abuse, torture, injure and hospitalize tenants, they let them steal $50k in tenant owned property, illegally evict paying tenants. FORCING people into homelessness or death. They do not even arrest or charge such vile landlord investors.
@@r8chlletters Bad bad bad bad bad danerous lying landlord investors is what happend. The cops let them get away with serious crimes against tenants. We're talking attempted murder and theft.
I was there in 2018. The middleclass dump there to avoid dump fees, I've woke up to loud crashes and go see a bunch of roofing shingles and plywood, fridges, and the others shootup the woods and leave brass everywhere, the dirt bikers, and 4 wheelers destroy the trails and the forest rangers burn it all
That is absolutely ridiculous! If you or I were to go camping and break the 14 day limit, they’d run us out of town. Give them 1 week to get out and then send it a clean up crew.
It's not that the Forest Service doesn' have the authority to evict them, they don't have the balls. If they have signs up that say 14 days then they don't need a judge's order
I sleep in my car work and stay away from homeless people. But the fucking cops bother me when these people are destroying the forest wtf is wrong with society.
I used to love driving the china hat road now it has become so dangerous that I haven't for a couple years now. There isn't cell service out there if something goes wrong. It breaks my heart to see so many people homeless in Oregon now. I can't blame them for wanting a place to live, however they shouldn't make it unsafe for others to use the road
They always have had a problem, I broke down there in 2016, stuck 2 years, worked at fagens trees and chips and lived at the shop, then got a camper and moved to China hat, lived out there for 6 months. No one knew we were there cause we kept it clean
Holding those in charge accountable is our civic duty as Or has the highest % of unsheltered families for decades, medical housing and or housing for life for those mentally incompetent.
Oh my gosh,I'm so very sorry.thats not right.im Nomadic and I'm seeing homelessness in a different light.i tried to understand and defend them but I just can't no more.again I'm so sorry.my lifestyle is not illeagul.A Nomadic person owns property and pays taxes.
This guy… to compare people from the valley. Ok I was feeling bad for a bit, than hearing that comment, get real bud your not even a native here. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Enjoy the homelessness at the next place you go to, because this isn’t an “only here” issue. This is everywhere. Excited for this guy to leave Oregon!
It's not everywhere. It's only in poorly run cities, most of which lean left. Regardless of politics, the problem is no one feels shame any more for bad behavior. There's no shame felt by those who defecate on the streets or shoot up drugs in front of others. Theft is defended instead of prosecuted. People are left to die on the streets rather than force them in to mental health facilities.

It involves many factors, access to space outside of the already built environment, local rents going up suddenly. In Portland, odot land was easy for a long time, different jurisdictions make enforcement slow to respond. In Bend, the forest fits the bill, it's isolated, but doesn't take too much gas to go into town for supplies. The epidemic of fentanyl, and Meth. And untreated mental illness and other addictions. These all add problems, that sometimes push people into becoming homeless. And make it all worse once you are homeless. This is a problem everywhere. All urban areas. Less in the midwest, with such extreme cold temperatures. That being said, there are homeless people in Anchorage Alaska too. This is a human catastrophe. It needs a remedy.
It was like this before 2016, I lived there for 6 months, seen upper middleclass dump all their trash out on China hat at wee hrs of the morning to avoid the dump fees, they do controlled burns to get rid of the trash. Roofing shingles and plywood fridges cars,

This is why the forest rangers burn the woods. So they don't have clean it up.
They will ruin it for everyone else..you pack it in you pack it out..respect the land
Oh my gosh this is disgusting what is happening in Bend Oregon with the homeless problem.

This is happening all throughout the usa
Your nation doesn't care about you they only care about illegal immigrants, Israel and Ukraine.
House Flipping...
Overpopulation and outrageous home costs that’s what happened.

Remember back in the day when Oregon was such a pretty clean. state. Ridiculous 💯
The same goes for california and Washington, but these states have been destroyed by the people in office.

Never always been a creepy state!
Full of fags and uppity middleclass holes
What a damn shame…

Not-my-job-ism from the policy enforcers? Not surprising.
Now Bend even has a homeless problem? FJB!

Deshutes county isn't doing anything but passing the buck... putting it on odot?
Covo does more for the homeless on China hat the the agency's who get 3000.00 a month per ssi number and give you gloves and hand warmers
How does a person who is homeless pay something similar to a traffic ticket? This is a sign the current method ain't working.. duh
Was this cleaned up or is this still going on?

The less taxpayers on an area plus eliminating jobs for apps producers less results, cause & effect.
I’ll tell you what’s going to happen… California 2.0

35 year Bend resident who returned home to make a life. I wonder how long these campers lived in the area.

We all need Jesus. They do and we do. All cultures need Jesus to save them. Eternity awaits!!!:)
We left in 2021. The government in Bend city, county and state of Oregon is awful. I wish the state would stop voting in liberal democrats.
LOL😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
