This Venue is the Home of Perth Indi Rock

The Indian Ocean Hotel, or as its affectionately known, The Indi Bar is the current home of Perth Indi Rock. The likes of Spacey Jane, Old Mervs, DICE, Ra Ra Viper and Coterie all cut their teeth in this Scarborough venue over the past 10 years and have created great culture with in this scene.

What makes Scarborough attractive is the amount of high density semi affordable housing for young people too,
I spent my 20's living in Scarborough and it was fantastic, Indi bar on Thursdays and Ocean 1 on Fridays (Back when they had decent live music too)
The fact you could walk home and not worry about taxis, drink driving etc made Scarborough a great place to live,
Also heaps of musos lived in Scarbs too :)
