Converting people to metal heads one Armor Gym video at a time. Keep it up, I get tons of new music for my playlists off of these videos keep em coming.
Bilmuri is such a fun gateway artist. Most of his stuff you can play for just about anyone and they'll have a good time but every now and then he'll throw down and get a little heavy and it's always fun to see how people react to that
I would love you to include some Electric Callboy. Just recently been on a concert of theirs and the amount of moms going there with their kids was crazy. It´s a really good entrance into the metal world in my opinion. Hell, even the girlfriend of my best friend and her best friend joined us for the concert and they listen to hardstyle. They absolutely loved it and they ask for EC in the car now. Slowly transitioning into We Butter The Bread With Butter (because we are from germany and they sing in german, makes understanding it a bit easier) and some newer Architects mixed in. Works great 😀
@dragonballfanscantread2383 Dude, I just have way to good of a mood right now. Enjoy your life. I hope you will manage to find some peace in your life at some point and not care about useless things like genres. Until then, try not to die from a heard attack 🙂 "I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind"
@dragonballfanscantread2383 You really amuse me. I have to give you credit for that. Since I don´t know you, just a word of advice: you sound like a spitefull 58 year old, living in the basement of his moms, crying over the fact that his passion for metal is shared by others, which doesn´t make him special. So he has to shit all over others and their love and passion for the music they love, to feel better for himself again. If that is not you, think about it for a minute. If it is, well...
I love seeing the transition people have from not liking metal at all, to liking metal but not the lyrics, to eventually craving the screams and growls. Once you get used to harsh vocals, regular clean poppy vocals just don't do it anymore haha
I was so hyped to see them both on this video! If you like dreamwake you should also check out shrezzers. They don't do the synthwave part, but they have a filthy amount of sax
I think we need some Jinjer in these videos. That switching back and forth with the clean vocals provides such a great contrast, would be great to see their reactions to that.
I love what they said about how metal is full of feelings. One of the things that drew me to metal and heavy music was the focus sooo many bands seem to have on confronting emotions. It's often hidden underneath metaphor, but it definitely makes the genre special.
It`s nice to see that someone who doesn`t Iisten to metal can feel how emotional it is. I just wanna say I think you should definitely play them some Deftones , also I just love the editing in your videos so much 🤣🤣
It was wild seeing The Ongoing Concept on a reaction video. I used to play shows with those guys. Pretty cool dudes. Just three brothers from Canada and a friend of theirs on bass. I’m glad bilmuri is getting more love too. Nice video!
Bro I LOST IT at the Spider-Man and the Bilmuri Rock clips 🤣🤣 I think this is the best selection of music y'all have had to sway people to metal yet imo
Stoked to see my friends in The Ongoing Concept made it lol. I grew up with them in small town north Idaho and my old bands used to play shows with them all the time for years. First time I met them was our high school battle of the bands soooo long ago lol. Then Dawson ended up recording and producing some music for my old band.
I think these girls need to be introduced to Dayseeker - they'd love them. And you have to have a bunch of people react to the entirety of We Got the Moves by Electric Callboy. It's going to get a ton of laughs and hype! These are so great. The editing cuts are just 🤌🏽✨
Its fascinating watching these videos and realising how lyric focused a lot of people are, even with clean vocals I'm more interested in the delivery and performance than the lyrical content
I love these videos and love that you showed them a few less extreme/heavy songs this time as well. It kind of hurt me when they questioned whether Memories by Dreamwake was Metal because it wasn't heavy enough? Like ... the really heavy stuff is such a small cross section of Metal as a whole, nobody should think that's all there is.
I love that they keep talking about how much emotion and feeling there is in the music. This music exists because it's an outlet for people to express the depths of their souls.
I love you guys jumping around genres. There's literally a style of metal for anyone these days. Love to see you guys show them Intervals, Moment Marauder (with the vocals). One of my favorite bands to convert normies 🙃
Hey for the country lovers you can always show them Home Team by Lakeview. It's modern country but with a touch of 2000s metalcore and modern rock. Not usually my cup or tea listening to stuff like Cattle Decapitation, Knocked Loose, Kublai Khan TX etc but I love that damn song.
I feel like AAL is really throwing someone into the deep lol. Bands like Shadow of Intent also have good instrumental releases and may be easier to get into perhaps?
I'd love to see the reactions to something totally clean like Nightwish in-between some really heavy picks, I think that'd just throw them for a loop lol Metal is so great
Whoever is making the picks is doing a great job. Going from WOA’s latest bangers to Dreamwake with the saxophone 👌 Perhaps some Periphery or Silent Planet next?
I love these videos so much haha. I do want to list some recommendations though just from my tastes and opinions. I think there’s been one video with Spiritbox and Sleep Token and possibly Imminence but those 3 bands I think are perfect “gateway” bands if you wanna put it that way. they bring the heavies, a softer side and genre bending. such talented groups. and then just some other mentions but I think these would be good choices too: Electric Callboy, Bad Omens, Ice Nine Kills, Invent Animate, The Plot in You, Bring Me The Horizon, Unprocessed and Silent Planet. hell, add in some Harper to see the talent of this little 12 year old badass.
Some fun ones to throw in: The Acacia Strain, Shrine of Malice, Mental Cruelty, Methwitch, and specifically 10000 by Beyond Deviation (because whispers are fun for non metalheads)
Also, I've been listening to a lot of "One Wing" by The Chariot recently and there's some absolutely killer tracks on there to use. "and" is probably my favorite, and it could be fun to see the reaction to the tourism jingle in the middle.
i prevail, spiritbox, kim dracula, soulthief, dead velvet, opal in sky, make them suffer, hanabie., Jinjer (yall know what song I'm talking about xd) and i'd love to get reactions for dying fetus or deprecation Love the videos take care
The selection of songs peaked with Abbey Road's version of Impermanence by Architects Would love to see some Bleed from Within down the road, keep spreading the good word of metal guys❤
The comment about people liking metal music without the vocals got me thinking about some artists that I enjoy listening to sans vocals. I’d recommend checking out: Plini, Lee McKinney, and Ola Englund. Also, it would be fun to bring back the biggest critics from these videos to see how they enjoy instrumental metal. For me though… give me rawrs and bleghs or give me death! 🤘🏼
Love that they are starting to realize metal is just a little more than just noise. Give them a few more rounds with some good bands and I think they will have metal on their playlists! 🤘🏽
I wanna see reactors who know nothing of metal go down the journey of exploring every genre, especially from first to newest. Not just this channel, but many. There is melodic metal as well (classic metal, glam, progressive metal, power/symphonic/gothic metal genres, some thrash and alternative metal). I wanna ease people into "the dark side."
Not sure why, but UA-cam randomly decided to block this video because of the Bilmuri song... I had to remove it in order for it to go back up 🙄
