Any wet cosmetic products like foundation, lipstick, etc and products like skincare, body spray, oils, lotions, sunscreen, etc all get rancid or expire or become ineffective after 6-24 months. Doesn’t matter how well they are stored or whether they are sealed. And not only that but some active skincare ingredients can concentrate and get stronger or degrade into dangerous chemicals that can burn your skin or give you dermatitis. Used wet products also grow bacteria as they sit in your drawer that can cause infections. Only buy what you need at the time you need it.

Invest judiciously, keep a stop loss figure. Shuffle between debt and equity wherever the ratio goes too off your target. As for the target, I recommend a Ratio like this Debt % should be equal to your age in years. If you are 20, debt is 20%, reset in equity. If the market falls or rises drastically, your debt % will change, which you should rebalance to 20% and bring back equity to 80%. Thus you would have bought low or booked profit depending on if it was a crash or a bull run.
Effective personal finance management is more important than the amount of money saved, regardless of whether income is earned through job or investment. Individuals can seek counsel from a certified financial advisor to optimize financial outcomes, who can provide specialized advice and methods to decrease expenses and maximize income.
I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.
I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation.
I definitely share your sentiment about these firms. Finding financial advisors like ‘Carol Vivian Constable’ who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.

A good motto to live by is if you can't afford to buy something twice comfortably, then you shouldn't buy it yet. This keeps you from overspending, especially for smaller spontaneous purchases.

Im a woman of the same age as alot of these "girlies".. Growing up in remote Australia, I just dont understand how people can do this and feel... Secure. I dont have social media, I absolutely despise people who show off or waste. I dont understand them. We live more independently of corporations out here. We have our own cows, sheep, pigs, fruit trees, vegetables, chickens, eggs, ducks, quails. If we need furniture, we go cut down some trees and build it. We hunt, fish, and process our own meat. I can skin and butcher a 80kg kangaroo very quick. There is a particular tendon in the tail that can be used for a bow string if you run out of ammo. I can make a raft without nails. I know what plant roots to use to poison waterways for fish if I snap my rod or break my line. I know how to source water, also how to install a well pump. I know what plants are edible, what snakes are fatal. I know how to navigate by the constellations, sun and moon. I pan for gold, dig sapphires and live off of the profits. These are all skills I consider necessary, intermixing my European familial knowledge of farming and agriculture with indigenous bush know-how ive learnt from my mates. If worse came to worse, I question whether people like these could survive very long on their own merit. The greed also bothers me, just feel uncomfortable, I've met a few people like this and they just aren't.. interesting and kind of hollow. Being around people like this just makes me irritated. I work on property and sometimes townies come for a little homesteading roleplay and they just struggle with the most basic stuff. Its really sad that humans are so dumbed down and reliant on our government and their precious corporations. Honestly.. I hope for a collapse soon so we can all get our acts together. Sick of it.
That's valid, I feel like a lot of people who live in cities (that's most people these days) are disconnected, and trying to fill a void. Something about living in a concrete jungle and chasing money will drive you crazy. They know the price of everything, but not the value of anything. Sadly not all of us can go back to that more grounded way of living. (I say this, stuck as a corporate cog.)
LUCKY. Just know you are beyond priviledged. I have always wanted to live like that, but it is impossible for most of us (including me) due to the land necessary for that lifestyle is too expensive to buy.
The only time I see these types of influencers is when someone I watch on UA-cam talks about them. Time after time I end up pretty stunned at how much they spend on stuff. It’s crazy, and it’s interesting. Great vid!
So everyone is obsessed with themselves, showing off how much money they have and can buy, displaying how shallow they are and that's their goal! I stopped following a homesteader for this very reason. Homesteaders constantly showing off everything they have and can afford. Years and years worth of food hoarded from Sam's club, gardening, and all their new gadgets. All I wanted was to get back down to earth and learn how to live a more simple life and I can't even do that without being inundated with consumerism.
I over buy clothes, especially really baggy graphic tees (my absolute favorite thing to wear) and sports merch. But I don’t have any debt or neglected payments from that habit, it just makes me feel icky sometimes knowing the social and environmental impact of buying more mass market clothes. I do have the issue of my guilt getting so overblown to the point where I make myself feel sick thinking about every single item I’ve bought and not used to completion or the trash I create in a day or how the money I spent on shirts could have been put in my savings account and that’s not productive either because it makes me spiral. I’m trying to be a consumer in moderation, just like other parts of life and find that balance
You'll never feel so miserable as when you're chasing material things. I could tell you so many stories. I come from a family where some had millions and others didn't. The best life you'll ever have is when you're broke and content, but surrounded by good friends and family.
The more I watch these videos, the more I start believing in dead internet theory. I feel bad for those who think that real people actually watch these influencers, like and comment on their shorts and this is not just bots sponsored by the companies trying to sell you stuff 😂
I agree to an extent but the products are indeed selling. That’s why they keep doing it. Real people are buying these products because they are so easily influenced. Worst credit card debt in America ever right now and influencers have contributed to that.
I gave up overconsumption for a reason of time and the breakdown of my dishwasher... if you have 50 jars in your kitchen, there are 50 jars that you must wash well... that made me realize all the garbage that I had to keep clean

I don't even have a rice cooker. I just cook rice in a pan on a hob. No eggs boiler, also boiling (or scrambling) them in a pan. No bread maker, I can mix and knead dough by my hands. No soup maker, I have a tall pot for that, also cooking pasta in it. Etc. We do have a slow cooker though, for stews, goulash, Stroganoff... different taste than on a hob or in the oven. Pressure cooker went to the bin after the lid broke. Didn'tt use it much anyway. Risky business LOL
So well said..I was spending ALOT on Amazon everyday..after awhile it didn’t make me happier. So I went the other direction..stopped eating out almost everyday and cut way back on my recreational spending. So much happier because the best feeling is when the only obligations I have are food(cooking at home) and utilites.
I’m so proud of myself for not giving into the Stanley cup trend. I’ve been using my hydroflask since 2019 and it still does the job
Lol I had a Stanley before the trend! It actually was kind of crazy to have my cup thrown into the lime light by influencers. i got it from my mom.
I finally upgraded my decade-old $9 tumbler to a BruMate and I absolutely love it! Stanley doesn’t even compare. It’s exactly what I was looking for and no leaks at all. It’ll probably be the last tumbler I ever buy. The Stanley craze is so off putting. I genuinely hope someone slaps me if I ever wait in a line for something like that 😂
I had to look up what that is. People are crazy.
What is the Stanley Cup trend?
I’ve had my hydroflask since 2017 when I bought it because we lived on Guam where having a large personal supply of cold water with you at all times was essential. I no longer live there but still use it everyday at the gym. My kids all got Stanleys. I made them pay for it themselves. They have jobs. 😂
Reminder, influencers are either a. Getting products for free or b. Returning them. Don't buy their crap, don't watch their crap, and if they make you by popping up on your feed THUMBS DOWN their crap.
I figured most of them return all of the products after making their stupid videos 😂
I just been skipping through, but i’ll make sure to give them thumbs down from now on 😂
This whole video reminds of one quote from George Carlin:
"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."
“People are just running to Marshall’s and getting tons of hello kitty products” I felt like I traveled back 30 years with that line. I had no idea it was a thing again.
Yeah and sanrio isnt even a physical store anymore...
It's because it's the 50th year anniversary so they're hoping to get some limited edition stuff they can resell.
I didn't want Hello Kitty 50 years ago
Hello kitty never went away. My childhood room was hello kitty and I never stopped liking Sanrio.
Same! I was like, "It's popular again? Since when??" lol
I'm bi polar one and during my manic days, I seriously spent hundreds of dollars I didn't have, but could not stay out of the stores. When I was diagnosed properly, my MD told me that bi polar one people will spend thousands of dollars during mania. I would go to car dealers and buy cars and have zero money, but of course the dealers would definitely sell me car. I'm now stable and able to budget my money, thankfully 😊😊
My brother has type 1 and when he’s manic he goes crazy buying big ticket items. Luckily, he’s stable now and has it under control.
Hell yeah! Good on you! I’m happy you’re stable now.
I have a friend with bipolars and she used to do the same. Now that she's getting treatment the situation has improved fortunately
So happy for you that you are stable now. Most people have no idea how life-wrecking a manic episode can become with debt due to compulsive shopping, breakups due to infidelity etc.
Sounds like my life. I also had my share of run-ins with the police department. I also have rage disorder and I black out with no memory of what I did or said when raging.
After the correct diagnosis , the same people that I avoided and accused of picking on me... The Police. I started working for as a dispatcher. I also saw myself in some of the people arrested. To say that I was embarrassed would be an understatement. I worked there for 8 years.
1 foundation, 1 concealer, 1 blush, 2 make up brushes, 1 mascara, lip gloss and that is it. I cringe when I see the amount of makeup products that these people have, knowing they will expire in 12 to 24 months

Great vid!
PLEASE make a Stanley Cup one PLEASE 😂
So everyone is obsessed with themselves, showing off how much money they have and can buy, displaying how shallow they are and that's their goal! I stopped following a homesteader for this very reason. Homesteaders constantly showing off everything they have and can afford. Years and years worth of food hoarded from Sam's club, gardening, and all their new gadgets. All I wanted was to get back down to earth and learn how to live a more simple life and I can't even do that without being inundated with consumerism.
Eco-friendly (real not just buying greenwashed stuff) needs to make a comeback
I no longer have TikTok or Twitter. Either someone was begging me for money or trying to sell me something I don't need!!!
Good luck on your journey.... You can do it.... When you get over the hump of consumerism, you start feeling sorry for all the consumption junkies....
I love you Zac. You remind me of a pissed grandfather 😂😂😂 I love it ♥️
A pissed grandfather in the body of a thirtysomething 😂
