Meanwhile Götze also admitted that it was a mistake to return to Dortmund, although Klopp desperately wanted him to come to Liverpool. I still believe that Götze would have become very successful again with Klopp's help, because his dribbling skills and talent for quick surprise actions and passes still make him one of the potentially best performers very similar to Messi... There are truly heartbreaking anecdotes of anxiety. Bojan Krkic for instance hat to vomit each time before playing.
The sheer pressure by the media, the coach, the peer competition and the fans is unfathomable.
Götze is amasing at PSV, even when he does not score or assist. Everytime he has the ball the oposition does not know what to do
So underrated nowdays. I am glad he went to Frankfurt. It's time he back in the Bundesliga.
Great video.Wish Mario well ,in life.
He still shows what he is capable of. He does outrageous and amazing things sometimes
His playstyle was amazing.
He still is an amazing player ..
This year in psv u will see the young gotze
Imagine reus, götze and lewa playing together for a decade, without injuries etc. :(
Sadly, football is a lot harsher than that which is why players like Messi and Ronaldo will always be idolised.
Can you please do one about Lothar Matthäus ? Hes one of the most under appreciated players of all time and ironically the best midfielder to ever play the game in my opinion, great video as always I love the content keep up the good work
Yeah and do one on Maradona aswell, one of the most underappreciated footballers of all time.
/sarcasm
@@jordanschlansky4093 congrats you won the award for the most unnecessary comment of 2021 🤝 compared to how good he was he is literally under appreciated
@@Gaindalf93 Iam just making a point of your hilarious comment. No Lothar Matthäus is not underappreciated just because you would want him to get his own video. He's a legend in Bayern, the German national team and is still known as one of the best in his position to play the game. He was just recently called to be in the Ballon D'or Dream Team for Christ sake.
People like you use the word "underappreciated" so liberally that it actually loses all its meaning.
@@jordanschlansky4093 he literally is under appreciated im German our media treats him like an average at best player who happened to win a World Cup and overseas media never mentions him ask a yank if they know him and then ask them if they know Beckham same goes for a lot of other places and Matthäus is leagues above Beckham, you didn’t even know that he’s a legend at inter as well pretty bad informed about someone who’s the best midfield player of all time you just proved my point, you have no idea what you are Talking about and comment the same thing under everyone who says something is underrated, if you’d tell me people use the word depression too often and that’s why people don’t take it serious anymore I’d agree but why care about the Word underrated? You are one strange kid my guy
@@jordanschlansky4093 you make no Sense why do I have to say he’s underrated to get a video about him ? I could just say please make a video about him without saying anything about how under appreciated he is.. 😂 you are just being negative towards German players/people for some reason..
I love the passion that goes into your work, very impressive and knowledgeable 👍
Mario götze was one of those talents that could’ve been. I will never forget the 2014 World Cup. And he’s first season in Bayern. I remember Lewi and götze coming to Bayern and leavin Reus and bvb
Great player.. i enjoyed watching him play.. ❤🤙⚽️
Little correction, born in Bavaria ...but started youth career at rival club Borussia Dortmund and moved up to A team there
Technically, Memmingen is not Bavaria but Swabian-Bavaria.
He’s back playing the ball of his life. This page is bad paparazzi
Love the vod and i watched cause my favorite team is psv
bro.. wanna thank you n confirm im tuned in every week for you vidz
He scored a lucky goal that was the peak of his card
Love these videos dude. keep it up
At Dortmund he was fantastic. Ruined his career by going to Bayern and ignoring his health there, though. Never was the same again.
Im surprise how many people in the comments ignore the fact that he got sick and almost retire football (he did actually for a brief period).
you were the chosen one anakin!! 😭
nice one bro !!!
Used to be my favorite player💫I think his illness and the pressure was maybe why he did live up to expectations but still a very talented player and feel for him. Can’t believe he’s only 28 though
17-21 was his peak
I was expecting goetze to be like a Toni Kroos
I used to love him so much, I reall really wanted him to come to the Premier League. That 11/12 season when Dortmund won the Bundesliga, wow, just unbelievable
he would not have survived premier league with his injuries and health issues
He got hypothyroidism diagnosed in 2017, similar to what ronaldo faced back when he retired. Unlucky career but a great guy in every sense of the expression.
I think his illness was undiagnosed for a long time. He probably already unknowingly suffered from it at Dortmund.
your work is brilliant
Proof that talent alone is not enough.
I am sad that things went downhill for him, I loved watching that Dortmund team - they were unreal, and I so wanted them to beat Bayern in the CL final! I hope he makes it back to the very top and that Marco Reus wins something!
Yo man we need a how good was Ruud Gullit. The original goat
I never heard of him, he must have bleeted harder than Messi. Would definitely like to see that
Ya man he was a gr8 player
Inzaghi is van nisterlrooy
Both born offside
@@jomo2483 oh my god! You have never heard of Ruud Gullit? You are living under a rock if you are a Football fan! I don't think you know much about Football before the year 2000
@@mebansharaisantasticokhong7312 Are you surprised at his ignorance? Look at his user name, that says it all.
I became a huge fan of him about 6 months before his winning goal in Brazil. I was through the roof that night. It's a shame his career turned out like this.
Gotze is great !! I have Football Manager 2014 and I'm currently in 2015 and Gotze is my starting AMC and who's beating Thiago who is my top assist provider for the year to Starting the first team and also starting ahead of Kroos who I might sell to Real Madrid because they want him just like in real life lol who which I sold Shaqiri too because I had too many wingers, Ribery,Robben and Muller plus Shaqiri was one too many wingers also Gotze pairs well with my striker Diego Costa who I bought from Athletico.
Thank you! This video was very insightful!
I thinl that these hormonal issues have been linked to ending or ruining or limiting the careers of many great footballers. It's not only Gotze, R9 also had a similar issue with hypothyroidism
(assuming he is in top form regarding his mental and physical health, and Klopp would be able to help him to attain this level again, of course)
damn i rly loved watching him as an 18 years old at dortmund. his raw talent seemed limitless
same
He's like any other 1 magical moment athlete.
Really interesting overview. Thanks, man!
Now Reus is coming back to the German National team and Goetze may also get his comeback this year. I am german and would be very proud of him
2014 was the same year James Rodriguez became Columbia’s national icon. Whilst still having a great career, there’s no living up to THAT performance in that moment of time.
We view athletes like the ex gf …“the one that got away”. We can only think of how incredible they were when we met and can’t reconcile ‘what went wrong’.
Love your Videos man ✌
1:30 I assume its an honest mistake but BVB is the Die Schwarzgelben (the Black and Yellows) so calling him from Bayern while wearing those colors..... Yes Gotze grew up un the Bayern recruiting area, but he started out at Ronsberg, not Dortmund and he moved to Dortmund's academy in 2001, he was never at Bayern in youth
His achievements didnt ruin him. His rare disease did. I don’t understand why this isn’t talked about.
His game vs Galatasaray (5-1) What a game that was for him and my number 1 game of al the games i saw in the stadion 🏟 ❤️🙏
Dinsdag zijn we er bij hoor!
Me: thinking about prime gotze😩
Me: thinking about reus and gotze duo😔
Me: thinking about lewandowski,gotze,reus🥺
Me: thinking about prime dortmund 😭
At the time of score in wc2014 and even after that he is my favorite player ...extremely talented✨
o dont know why everybody focus so much on his one lucky goal on WC ... he dint even play most of the games so the final ... he came in and scored that one goal ... thats not even 1% of the glory to even get to the final thx to the 11 great players in the squad 2014! and in 2011 and 2012 he was good jeah but everybody looks good in a wordl class team that worked perfekt at this time ... after that without that team he never ever again played really good not for bayern and not for dortmund after ... from 2013 to 2020 he only played 140 games in 7 years thats nothing ... and most of the games he wasnt in the first squad ... he was overrated his whole career ... he is a good casual player nothing more and most of the fans dont even remember he scored that one wc goal cause not that one goal was the magic moment 2014
Gotze’s father is a renown mathematician.
Really? That's cool
Like Michael Owen, a great as a young player. But peaked very early and injuries caught up with him fast
@Gralin James Pritchard stopped reading at "Gotze was mainly hype".
Gotze wasn't world class but a great player with amazing potential to be an all time great
young Owen was world class and a Balond'or winner
@@robzsarmy5471 He was definitely world class, top 3 ballon dor candidate without Messi and Cristiano, Owen didn't have such beasts to compete against. Götze was competing against an injured Messi that still managed to have a 1.46 goal ratio that season lol
@@TheThirdWorldCitizen zidane,Beckham,Ronaldinho, nedved, del piero, Figo to name but a few from that time
@@iamalpharius85 dude only Zidane and Figo were possible ballon dor candidates, Ronaldinho was just getting started in 2001 and the others u said we’re just top players. Beckham would never win a ballon dor lol
One correction: his decline already began when he moved to Bayern
sounds like a successful life to me no matter where he is now.
He’s doing quite well at psv
Nice way of narration!
Thanks!
did anyone noticed that is the divisions in written godzillas first season insted of gotze
If it was an international friendly then nobody would remember for Gotze socring a goal. Occasion made a one goal wonder into a legend.
I love this video
He has paid his dues
My 5th Favourite player of all time 🔥
Hopefully he plays in some International games, awesome video.
however he scored the most imp goal in the history of german football
While this may be true he made a whole country happy and it was one of the best day in German football history how I wish we could go back to those glorious days when we were a real force
Götze already had health problems before the World Cup.
At the WC 2014 he wasn’t even a starter anymore compare that with the 18/19 year old Götze that was a absolute beast and way better as the later version of him which scored the WC winner.
It wasn’t one moment that ruined his career it was bad health management that ruined his career.
2014 world champion - nuff said.
the thing which still confuses me until this day about götze is the fact that his style of play changed so much. do u guys think that his change of playing style and his hip problems have a connection? I feel like he was way more agile and faster back in the day especially as a number 10. Nowdays to me he cant play that role anymore. he feels like a completely different player The best position for mario nowdays is the cm/ number 8 position. He is still a very good passer and dribbler. He can get past players easily when they get to him but in my opinion he doesn't have that explosivness on the ball which he used to have
Yeah true he was very explosive earlier and one of the best attacking midfielder
Can you do a video of Miroslav Klose?
He was badass on the LMA manager games. Bought him all the time lol
still cant believe he plays for my club
