- With a huge talent and big ambitions, that's how Cristiano Ronaldo started his footballing career like many other players. But, talent alone is never enough. It must be accompanied by several key factors: Hard work, self-confidence, and a strong personality. This is the story Cristiano Ronaldo's beginnings, and how he ascended to the pinnacle of Football.
From the islands of Madeira and in particular the capital Funchal, to the capital of Portugal Lisbon with Sporting, until his arrival to England with Manchester United. Watch how a young Cristiano Ronaldo developed his talent through these chapters of his footballing life and how he overcame some troubles both on and off the pitch on his way to win many titles like the English Premier League, the Champions League, the FA cup, and most importantly for him the Ballon d'Or.
All of this and more can be seen in this long and packed episode.

I think the level of coaching is underrated in this video
Sir Alex: "He's a winger"
Carlos Queiroz: "When he's 29 he'll become one of best strikers"
They were both right, fairplay
And to think this man was once criticized for his end product. Hardwork pays off.

Carlos Queiroz deserves more recognition, when Ronaldo played in 2010 World Cup and turned against Carlos Queiroz, that wasn't a beautiful sight.. seeing this documentary, made me realize even more how unfair Ronaldo, and Portugal in general, was to Queiroz.
His self-confidence and strong personality make him unique.
Yeah
I agree, totally.

Still other channels done earlier videos about Cristiano Ronaldo career, that I have watched few years ago to already know Cristiano Ronaldo life story. This video missed that he once as kid threw stone to some window and once as 14 year old threw chair to his teacher, but I did knew he was from Madeira, made fun off in Lisabon from his accent, played as 17 years old in Sporting CP, unitil as 18 year old Alex Fergusson decided to buy him and then he knew he year by year became better at Manchester United, when got older and wom Champions League in 2008 and then won Champions League four times in Real Madrid, so I already knew preatty well Ronaldo, but this was still intresting video about his life story.
These transfer stuff with how much each club ready to buy Ronaldo for, when Ronaldo was 18 year old I did not know, when so many clubs intrested, when I just knew Ronaldo went to Manchster United as 18 year old from Sporting CP in 2003.

His progression was so unreal, how much he improved in the 2006/07 season was his major turning point

@@Roberto-nj5yr Messi has physical issue, and ronaldo?
@@soccer.tube.official That 'messi has Physical issue' is all PR.
My goodness what a well-narrated documentary. Honestly, Ronaldo’s success wouldn’t have happened if he went elsewhere. He chose the right club, with the right tutelage and the right pressure of winning. If you want to succeed as a footballer, read and understand the journey of Ronaldo.
Lot of players of his generation failed to live up their expectation: Jose Reyes, Ricardo Quaresma, Joaquin Sanchez, Vicente, Aaron Lennon. Mostly because they picked the wrong club.
Well said
It's very rare to find a player that joins an incredible raw talent with immense work rate and a winning mentality. Truly one of the greatest players of all time.
The best documentary about Cristiano Ronaldo's career hands down! 🏆🥇
Its a good overall intro to his career. But there is a lot of analysis error
For example ronaldos first years at united. He was just dribbling winger. Not much scorer. He dribbling was causing insane danger and made united very dangerous
Ronaldo did make a lot of key pass after dribbling. Tried descent attempt. Or obtained freekick/penalty for the team
Saying ronaldo was just a toxic show off dribblier is very wrong. When he dribbled most of time united win something of it
Van nuesteroy hated ronaldo cause he wanted to people to only focus on giving him tap in pass instead of making team win
@@mathewvanostin7118 and whatever u mentioned as analysis error, i find balon has covered all those info up in the video...

I have to point out how incredible the Sporting academy is. So many great players started there.

If he's stays major injury free he will
You do know Ronaldo already got a major injury in 2014... That's the reason you don't see him doing those knuckle ball free kicks anymore. He needed to rest for some months to be healed. But he didn't and played in the 2014 wc. So he never fully recovered from that injury. But bc of how good he adapt himself. No one would think that he ever got a major Injury. Thx for reading

Cristiano is a legend! I'm watching all his matches ever since he returned back to Manchester United. This was a very cool documentary!
To hard times in Manchester and the begining, to becoming the greatest goalscorer in football history is simply amazing. I cant imagine the amount of work of this man.
I first got into football after seeing Cristiano in EURO 2004. My country is 100+ in FIFA rankings and football wasn't very big (it is slowly starting to change now). I know everything about Cristiano & because my family wasn't into football, I became a Cristiano fan. People can call me whatever they want, I don't care. As some people follow a club, I have followed this player for the past 18 years. Of course I have my local club in Estonia who's games I visit (FCI Levadia), but in world football, I follow Cristiano (& Mourinho). I knew "everything" about him already, but when you post a video, I have to watch it. I was surprised that there actually were a few things in this documentary that I didn't know before. The ending brought shivers down my spine. Your storytelling + finding out not very well-known facts is amazing. All the best to you Fahad & God bless you and your family! Absolutely fantastic! Greetings from Estonia.
One of the best documentaries I’ve seen on Ronaldo, great job 👏🏻
Imagine a young Cristiano and Thierry Henry in the same team. Defenders would have nightmares.
Combine that with a young ashley Cole and you literally have the most terrifying left flank in football history. The worst thing about it that this could have happened, CR7 was in London to finalise a transfer until united came in the last minute with a greater bid.

He's very handsome and talented his son is handsome just like him and is training to be a footballer like his dad
the whole process of developing his talent into something exceptional is something very hard to craft. very few people can develop such a long term vision and especially with regards to cristiano ronaldo, how people at utd showed patience and finally reaped the benefits.
That's it. Whatever your great is, you need to be constantly given chances and opportunities until you settle. Same thing happened with Messi, he took years to settle. Development is a process
Wonderful job balon the levels are even more up👍

Even as a Gooner, I must admit Cristiano reached a phenomenal level around 2008 and has not relented.
Remember Kobe (RIP) said he kept working hard and over the years the gap between him and his peers just kept increasing. Him and Messi have taken the game to new heights with their consistent high output.

Omg! the fact that you have watched all the matches makes the video more incredible
An evolution of CR7 thru his game , style , positions and roles :
- In Sporting Lisbon , he was more of a Left Middle/ Left Wing , more on running thru the wings , passing thru defenders , assisting and dragging defenders , and beating defenders by height , speed , and power. This lead him to played on Portugal on 2004 , where he has an essential role on the team in terms of creating chances and giving players like Figo the necessary space for them to do their magic
- At Man United , under Sir Alex Ferguson , he was more of a left wing-striker-left middle. He would also make a tag striker team with either Tevez or Rooney. His role change from a player that created chances , to a full capacity player that scores , assist , goes inside the box more , goes for headers , and that goes from the wing all the way to the box. He would also have defensive duties like defending the left midfield or the left side so in any ball recovery , a counter attack would be made. At this stage on 2008 he became the best player of the world , been fundamental for Manchester United on the Champions League and Premier League
- Real Madrid is where Ronaldo make the biggest jump , he went from creative/fast left wing to a full striker. He would finished most of the chances created by his team , would evolve his positional game where he would always appear without any defenders marking him , and if they were marking him it was too late. This is when Ronaldo offensive prowess exploded to peak levels that were never seen before. Him and Messi would achieved back to back 40+ goals on league and like 60+ goals per season. Having a team that help Ronaldo on defending , and assisting , and let him scores the goals would led Real Madrid to many glory silverwares , 4 Champions League in 5 years , 2 La Liga titles in which one of them was 100 points , and becoming Real Madrid top goal scorer. He is at least Top 2 on Real Madrid history with Di Stefano
- Juventus is where Ronaldo struggle to score as many goals as he did in Real Madrid for many reasons. His role there was a bit more defensive on helping out defenders clearing balls , the chances created per game from his team was lower , and we could say that he joined at the wrong time when Juve was going thru a process of changing players. He still played like a striker , but in some games he would be back to the left wing to open up spaces for the CAM for Dybala to create chances and to attract defenders to him. Pretty much what he used to do at United and Sporting.
- Back at United , he was still playing as the potent striker but with a few tweeks. He would have to pressed a lot more to recover the ball , he would make runs into the box if needed to attract defenders to open spaces for his teammates to finish, he would have less chances since he was the one that has to do the dirty running, and he would share the striker position with Rashford and Cavani. Though currently on the 4-2-2-2 of Ralf , he is sharing position strikers with Cavani , and its working on balancing out defensive and offensive play
For me the greatest ever !!!
