Just a suggestion, wandering village would be a nice series.
The art style is really cute and it has research and stuff.
You know this game kinda puts into perspective just how good 11bit was at setting up the oppressive atmosphere in frostpunk. Maybe its not worse but if you already played one the other will not have the same punch and because i played way too much frostpunk this feels like it has less impact. Still it looks fun and i will play it at least once to see just where the story goes.
I have 250hs in Frostpunk, it made impossible to play game of this genre, Im just waiting FP2.

Copper as an inefficient method of transporting water just boggles my mind. Copper to this day remains a staple material of plumbing. I'm going to assume there's a good gameplay reason for this because it makes no logical sense to me at all.
First thing I thought as well. And post apocalyptic should have a lot of trouble replacing plastic, and it can't be repaired whereas copper is easily repairable.
@@GodwynDi Agreed, you've just made me realize how silly plastic is as a resource in post apocalyptic games. It breaks down in direct sunlight, so most of it would be worthless as salvage after enough years.

Hear the biggest complaint regarding this game is that the pace of the missions actively hurt your chances of success as the resources and timetables are far too tight to wait for them to appear.

Once you finished chapter 1.2, it said it unlocked endless mode, so you will likely be able to just eventually make a perfect city

I'm not quite sure what the devs know about water management, but iron is a *terrible* materiel for water pipes

No, not really. This is like Frostpunk. Against the Storm is a city-builder rogue-like. They have similar elements, but they're pretty different imo. Also, Frostpunk came out in 2018, so it's like the definer of the post-apocalyptic survival city-builder genre.

I played the demo, it was ok. I like the voting, water purification and connection systems. Game could use more polish in the UI and bugs department

I've played this game, its ok. Comparing it to frostpunk should be applied loosely as unfortimately, it doean't hold a candle to it. I never once felt connected to the peoples plight, and more worrying I never felt like my decisions actually mattered.
Because it is more like Endzone than Frostpunk. The only Frostpunk similarity is "you need to survive".
@@GaryGammarid And yet Endzone came out *after* Frostpunk, lol. To say the only similarity is the survival aspect makes absolutely no sense. The expedition center stuff is literally exactly like Frostpunk. The way the resources are layed out and you assign workers is a lot like Frostpunk. The story element and the guided "quests", and popups about needs and immigration is a lot like Frostpunk.
Have you even played Frostpunk? lol.
Endzone seems more like Surviving Mars and Banished and Surviving the Abyss, so you are right in saying Endzone is not as much like Frostpunk (although I would bet Endzone developers knew about Frostpunk and took inspiration from it), but to say this game (Homeseek) is like Endzone and not like Frostpunk is ridiculous. It looks nothing like Endzone, and it's literally *story-based.*
Frostpunk inspired games would include Ixion, Homeseek, Surviving the Aftermath, and New Cycle. They are all story based, they have expeditions in the particular Frostpunk style, there is a survival element, and they all occur in a post-apocalyptic world. New Cycle adds in greater resource-management and tech stuff, and Homeseek adds in the building connections stuff, but they are all clearly influenced by Frostpunk in design and story.
@@GaryGammarid Btw, even the developers admit on Steam that Homeseek was in fact inspired by Frostpunk, so you like literally have no idea what you are talking about, lol. It's even advertised on reddit by the devs as a "fusion between Frostpunk and Mad Max"

I enjoyed watching you play so much I'd like to have the game, but the person in charge of putting the game on steam has bothered me so much I might not bother. I go to the page while listening to you and two video start playing on the page at the same time. I pause your video then pause both of theirs. Unpause yours and click back to look at pictures and read about the game I might buy while your talking and the damn video starts playing again. Really loud too. I'd like to know if it's by the same people that made frostpunk, but I won't go back to their page to find out. I'll wait for frostpunk two while watching you play it instead.
