Battery consumption with power saving mode is very close!
Only GPU suffers a little more but the Exynos does as good otherwise

Shame he didn't research that the UK price of the Ultra includes tax, whereas the US price doesn't. He also doesn't seem to be too sure as to the reason why Exynos aren't used in the US, when there are known patents on CDMA that Qualcomm have. These reviewers keep praising Qualcomm, despite their well known anti-competitive practices.

If samsung thinking like it's not completely depending on Qualcomm for CPUs , decrease the cost of Exynos varient by 15% than Snapdragon varient

we should start a movement against samsung that we wont buy samsung flagships unless we get a snapdragon chipset in it.
Even in Canada is hard to find out. Mostly sold version of this phone is the international one
and korea now lol. Not quite sure if i can call it the best smartphone given ultrasonic is still underwhelming compared to last gen capacitive readers. The bloatware and arbitrary excess copies of apps. And although android as a whole lacks this, no real incentive from samsung to push out unique mainstream competitive software outside of samsung pay (dex is enthusiast i.e less interest by general, no competitor to airdrop/imessage/facetime). Blows my mind samsung is only on the edge of competing with chinese companies a 10th of the size of them lol. At least their other korean brethren LG is pushing dual screen market and rolling out phones at decent prices with as good camera software as samsung outside of zoom and bixby vision (which is mostly gimmicky, and largely not used in practice).
Samsung, especially with the note, at $1400 from a company as rich and big as samsung, should be innovative. And this is just meeting the 2020 standards at best. Standards....isn't innovation.

3:28 in fact in the case of the S20's the Snapdragon variant uses the *Sony IMX555* camera sensor & the Exynos variant uses the *ISOCELL S5K2LD* So not the same camera for the regular S20's, that combined with Snapdragon's better ISP must be the reason for the better picture quality. Samsung needs to give everyone the same especially for the price people are paying, it's ridiculous.

Actually, the QHD with120hz option is also cancelled only because exynos CPUs can't handle this and they don't want to trigger the Europeans for that matter. Ughhhh

I have witnessed this difference since the Galaxy S6 days. I even spoke to Samsung Support about this throttling issue but they didn't care. Now I use OnePlus. Thanks for putting it up.
S6 faced the snapdragon 810 which was much much hotter, I remember even lg ditching the 810 and using the 808. During that year to be honest exynos was better. Let's be objective

It's cheaper for them to manufacture their own chips and they want to maximise their profits. Honestly they should focus more on satisfying their customers. It's sad that most people are paying more around the world for an inferior chip simply because they don't know about it. Sure, iPhones are expensive, but at least they're more consistent across the board.

This is to Samsung: I returned my S20+ yesterday with an Exynos 990. I am a European customer who even pays more for his phones than Americans do. I noticed that after one hour of heavy usage my S10+ managed to get better scores and less lagg.
I won't buy another Samsung device untill you can offer us a similar or the same phone..

@loyal4 the way yea the battery life of the exynos version is like unacceptable I feel bad for exnyos users reporting less than 5 hours of screen on time with the s20ultra like how is the difference so drastic??? My SD865 S20 ULTRA gets 9-10 hours of screen on time at 1440p 60hz 60% Brightness.

@@Whoareyoucalling last year i bought the galaxy s10+ USA version for the this reason alone. will upgrade next year only because samsung is going to release their S lineup with AMD partnership so we can expect at least in terms of graphics to be miles ahead of the snapdragon counterparts. although , i will be waiting for review this time around lol.

@Victor Minchev Exynos versions are cheaper but the problem is that one market doesn't get both of the versions. God knows why Samsung chooses either one in select markets. And, the sad part is that majority of the people who can actually afford S phones don't care. All they care about is brand value and not specifications.
Well, in Malaysia, the price for s20 ultra 5G (exynos)is RM4999 or 1142USD.. 200+ usd cheaper.. and it is even cheaper than iphone 11 pro 256gb in my country😂

Dude they shunned me off when I asked about the Snapdragon varient on Amazon during the prebooking stage..
FYI: About a year ago Samsung and AMD announced a strategic partnership to incorporate AMD's GPUs on Exynos chipsets. AMD is no stranger when it comes to GPU technology. Then, back in May, a benchmark appeared which showed a new under-development Exynos 1000 running with AMD Radeon and absolutely crushing Qualcomm's Adreno GPU (better performance by a factor of 3x).
If we consider this together with the fact that Samsung discontinued their own CPU development department and decided to license ARM-based architecture instead (which is what Qualcomm's Snapdragons and Apple's behemoth Bionic chips are based on), we can be certain to expect a total inversion of the mobile chipset dynamic within the next 2 years.
Right now Exynos users feel betrayed (and justifiably so, myself included) and demand that a Snapdragon variant is offered in their regions. But I suspect that quite soon it will be our friends across the pond that will be demanding that an Exynos variant is offered to them and who will feel betrayed by Qualcomm's Snapdragon in their devices.
Most sources expect to see the Samsung-AMD partnership to come to fruition in 2021. So we will be very likely seeing this new tech on the Samsung Galaxy S21 / Note 21.

That's definitely what Apple would do (and in fact did with the Intel modems)
I don't think Samsung will do that. Apple tried to do that when they throttled Qualcomm modems in iphones to match with Intel modems. Qualcomm filed a lawsuit against Apple for that.

One plus: in my opinion the camera on samsung is much better en offers more flexibility. Also it has wireless charing. The software on the on plus is ok in terms of speed, but personally i like the one ui skin much more instead of oxygen os. Also the pop up camera i am not a fan of.
Mi 10 pro: at first place i dont like the brand Xiaomi. Also the skin from xiaomi i realy dont like. The amount of bloadware is also most of the time realy high on xiaomi phones and i realy hate bloadware. At last hole punch in the corner of the screen doesnt make the phone symatrical and i dont like that at all.
Also 865 is ofcourse the better chip, but the difference in real life compared to 990 is not that much, only if youbare a hard core gamer and i am not. Ofcourse i want to mention that most things are just personal preferences.
But this is my reason to go with s20 exynos 990 instead of oneplus or xiaomi.
I have the s20+ with exynos chipset and still it performce realy well, it is a fast phone in day to day use, and i am very happy with the phone! Also 120 hertz it is the best, never felt a phone this fluid. It even feels more fluid than iphone... never thought that it would be possible.
(But ofcourse i think it is a shame of samsung to be not on part with quacomm....)

Samsung dissapointed me on this; that's why i want to give a change to other brands: one plus will add wireless charging, ip68, and promised to have a great camera, and both Xiaomi and onplus are cheaper than Samsung. I used a Samsung in the last 4 years, and I really waited for s20 lunch, but again, I got dissapointed. That's my point of view

My Galaxy S20 FE is the 5G version and has the Qualcomm chip. I've always used the budget version of Samsung flagships, coming from the Galaxy A50, which I loved. Everyone told me how much better the Snapdragon would be, and it wasn't until I had the new phone that I actually noticed it. It's literally STUNNING to look at and my pictures are just 10000x better. My entire experience is just miles better. I'm so glad I got what I got for the price I did. Even still having a budget version Samsung Galaxy phone, it doesn't feel like it this time.
True, I have S20 FE 5G too, it flies in day to day tasks, even gaming too. It doesn't break a sweat even when running heavy games
I feel I got scammed with my exynos S20+. Its 20% slower than the US one, and the battery life is a joke. And don't get me started with the heat situation.

I bought an s20 plus. On their site they said it had the snapdragon. But i'm in EU so ofc it did not have the snapdragon. They wont let me get my money back.
Battery is so much worse than my s10 plus and i am very dissappointed in the camera so far.

Take it to the small claims court. You're in Europe so you can exercise your right to a refund, especially if it's based off of being mis-sold something. A lot of the time when you take a company to a small claims court they won't send anyone to represent them because it'll cost them too much, so you end up winning.

Yeah i like snapdragon, its so fast. I learned that after buying oneplus 5t, a very fast phone if it lags its the app problem not the phone. If im buying a new smartphone its either snapdragon processor or nothing.
And this why i just bought the S10 Lite and ignored the S20 plus coz of Snapdragon 855 which is still better than the new Exynos for sure.

i have the exynos on my note 9 as well and my battery dies really quickly, ive only had this phone for a year or so and it only lasts me max 3 hours screen on time on medium power saving mode, if i switch that mode off it will last even less, im not satisfied at all

Just check the review first so you could pick the best one. (The yellow one is currently available today if you want one, it's limited so make sure to get one if you like yellow)
All working, just need to flash the rom since it's a global rom with no chance of updates. Just search samsung s10e firmware and go for the official unlocked version of the firmware (rom) so you can get updates again. Need some learning but trust me it's worth the hassle.
The wallpaper kinda bugged tho, dunno if it's because of the firmware or not, just turn on rotate function and everything's good.

My s10e has been so smooth till now, never regretting it XD. In the new update, the night mode camera is so good it's even brighter than what my eye could see. Would love to post the pic if i could. Also the 4k 60fps video recording is so amazing, been using it a lot now.

I have a S20 Ultra 5G Exynos version and I noticed a few things : 1-Using zoom for a while makes your phone slightly hot 2-Playing games for 1 hour or more makes your phone hot and screen aswell will become hot 3-Meanwhile your phone is charging will be hot until 90% and after going back to the normal temperature 4-When changing from 60hz to 120hz screen color slightly change 5-Battery drain very fast even though the size is 5000mah 6-Autofocus sucks , they improved somehow but still not as it should be

exynos and qualcomm has very big price different as well , in where i currently am , Malaysia , the s20+ is around RM3999 which is around 900 dollar , but the s20+ you buy in US is 1200 dollar , and the ram for my s20+ is only 8gb instead of 12gb

Yes, same thing when I bought S8. All reviews were good but the phone I got was sh*t(horrible gaming performance, bad battery and heating). I play PUBG and it was horrible on S8. Had to buy OnePlus for gaming. I feel like I got scammed by Samsung and I won't buy them ever again.

@@akj2387 My main issue was bad GPU(gaming performance). Also the exynos are inferior to SD in CPU, GPU and cooling (battery) and that's no secret. At the end of the day I am getting inferior product for the same price.

I'm keeping my S10 5G. I was about to buy the S20 ultra but decided to save my money. Especially with this economic downturn. Flagships will last a while these days.
Honestly such a recent phone can easily be kept at least 3 years (2 very easily). Unless you have so much cash you don't know what to do with it you will not feel much of an upgrade by changing your phone every year.
S10? That is too old. You should be using atleast a S16. Anything lower, it's better to upgrade to S20.

@@nipunsharma5351 I am sorry for my poor choice of words I should have said resolving the current issue with the optimalisation.The soc isnt broken it just doesnt have good drivers A new soc (Exynos990)needs new drivers which they had to make.Also whenever a company releases a new soc devs have to optimise the app SPECIFICLY for the new chip.With snapdragon that isnt a problem as it has a big market share and is also I assume easier to work for.There is nothing hardware wise wrong with it.But you just cant force people to optimise apps for your chip.Also Samsung is apparently changing the chip team(you can Google it)so not only will your complaining change nothing ,it will also make devs less motivated to work on support for exynos therefore making the issue you want to solve even worse.Good job
