Seems like I’m on a bit of a redux mission with older videos to see off 2023, but why not, eh? In a similar instance to the recent Cyberpunk video, I’ve been replaying Red Dead Redemption 2 and trying to 100% it (five years on, lol), and I was taken by how cosy the game actually is. With its molasses pace, non-pervasive story, and excellent sound design, it’s been a real remedy for me while I’ve been unwell.
Mainly, it’s all the creaks and cracks of floorboards while the wind howls in the background that got me thinking maybe I should make another Arthur Morgan ASMR roleplay - and here it is! In it, you’re an old west cowboy, or somesuch, and you’ll take part in a number of drinking games with the aforementioned [default_summer_cowboy_morgan]. You’ll play blackjack badly, before badly playing dominoes, and finish off with some badly judged drinking. Enjoy!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

Oh, man. Jim literally plays the BEST Arthur Morgan on the net. He's got it down to the voice, mannerisms and costume. You can tell he really puts a lot of heart in his productions. Well, done!

@@Gvi80 Idk he's a pretty, like, common "comfort character". Soothing voice, can be really kind with a high honor playthrough, can protect himself and others. Most comfort characters are like that in one way or another.

Been ages since I played rdr2. Jim played the cowboy brilliantly and his work is always appreciated.
I just hope he's not overdoing it, still putting out videos while unwell.

I'd love to see one where Arthur is possibly sick or injured, and he just falls asleep beside the listener. Then, for the next 15-20mins, Arthur's just curled up in a blanket and snoring next to the listener.

just finished my 3rd playthrough of the game after feeling the wild west urge, Arthur Is just so well written. Plus I love your content, always were one to know you stuff when doing roleplay. Got even the damn voice pretty good, like you do with other characters you do.

This reminds me, I need to finish RDR2. Such an incredible game. I have a little over 100 hours in it and I'm on chapter 3 lol. It's also the only game where I have deliberately never used fast travel. You just miss too much
