@@gregschulz4921 why do you have to wait in your car for another hour and a half after you tailed the sweep cleaner?? is it to avoid tickets?? let me know please.
I just drove up from Miami and am just overwhelmed by the multiple parking insurrections at once. I need a guide for cheap places to park in Manhattan throughout the day. not just at specific times
Parking shouldn't be sheap. Why should big cars take up so much space, both to drive and to park in a city like NYC, where there are plenty of alternative modes of transportation, and space is so expensive, if you only need to transport yourself?
@@gregschulz4921 thanks for replying the place you are referring to is John V Lindsay East River ? I’m asking because I have to be in the city for a couple hours today and was just going to hope to find street parking :/ cool with driving parking and taking subway
In one day I can spend about $60 on transportation costs. Monday transportation costs = $59.35 Parking garage: $20 (Early bird special) Tolls: $13.10 (EZ Pass discounts it to $6.55 per toll; I was paying $10 each way before). Subway: $5.50 (Even though I drive, I usually will take the subway to and from the garage if I’m not using the CitiBike) Street parking: $10.75 (I have to visit multiple restaurants so I end up using the 2-hour street parking as well) Gas (Estimated): $10 (Gas is actually super cheap in NYC compared to LA and even LV. I’ve learned to find certain streets now that have alternate side parking and I actually know an area where they have public housing that almost always has free parking.
The only thing with that is they limit you to one garage, and my job requires me to visit different restaurants I oversee in Manhattan and Queens. That’s why I usually get the early bird special near one of my restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen for $20, and then I commute to the upper Westside, then back down on the train or, if I’m feeling risky, a CitiBike. Nothing better than almost getting hit by a truck to wake you in the mornings. Lol

Wow never seen it so competitive. In Brooklyn there will be spots after the sweeper passes. Nobody is taking it like here.
I'm not sure though about downtown Brooklyn if it is like this too but I know it is 6 day parking.
Just moved from texas to NYC this makes me want to sell my car lol
It becomes a routine.

Omg I didn’t know you can park once they go by. I usually just wait until the end time on the sign.
You gotta wait till the end of the time but following the cleaner is a way to get the spot.

Best to park at air port.

How come you talk like a normal white guy but Andrew talks like he’s half Italian and grew up in a black neighbourhood
I like the way you descrived the sound of Andrew's accent more.
