@@iLegionaire3755there’s some other reviews on 2024 Razer 16 miniLED and the brightness is amazing with no risk of burn-in which can happen with OLED. I came away that miniLED is excellent on the Razer.

Thunderbolt 3 was great. Thunderbolt 4 was pointless “upgrade”. Thunderbolt 5 really covers everything you need in 2024. It can actually handle the bandwidth for 4k at higher refresh rates.

@@FlossyCarter I did bro. After a few months of owning the Razer blade 14 with gtx1060 6GB in 2017, I found myself just using the static white. Now I’m a MacBook user, so it’s just static white and I don’t miss RGB. Honestly always found it to be a gimmick and that the novelty would wear out. How are you liking that sweet Razer Blade 18 so far?

I’m loving it so far, but I’ve been using Razer Blades for years, one thing about Razer is they make a good laptop.
@@FlossyCarter that is true! My Razer still runs, albeit pushed to the limit, when I game on it occasionally. But for a 7 year old computer that’s not bad at all! I mainly game on PS5 now though (lmk if you wanna game bro, I got some vids on my channel here). I also love Razer’s customer service. Don’t know if you ever needed to use them, but they’re great. My laptop once died out of sudden (finished some school shit one night and woke up to do more school shit the next morning and it was dead). My warranty had just expired like a month or 2 before and the customer service agent was kind enough to extend it for like an extra 6 months so that my laptop could be repaired without a cost for me. Don’t have any complaints about the brand at all. They’re solid indeed.

Im still waiting for companies to release a Thunderbolt 5 cable, thats a 80gb speed 240w cable! I coulde use that cable to in conjuntion with a 240w charger to power my laptop in a smaller form factor then the big brick chargers that most laptops come with.

Fun review - love the enthusiasm! If you run in Balanced Mode are the fans loud while gaming? Would fan noise be lower getting the 2K screen instead?
The fan is definitely less noisy on balanced mode, but that all depends on how heavy the game is. What games do you play?
@@FlossyCarter RPGs, MMOs mostly: WoW, Diablo 4, Hell Divers 2, Destiny 2, Civ 6 (Civ taxes the CPU a lot). Your RPG setup is great!

I was hoping for OLED. Guess I'll stick with it's lil bro 16", paired up with 96GB and dual 4TB 990 pros in RAID 0. I'm looking to see what TB5 does for eGPU possibilities.

Yesterday I was watching a movie from a tv using my macbook, some scenes were super loud so I tried to turn down the volume of the tv, turns out I was watching the whole movie from macbook's speakers. I've never been surprised from a laptops sound system like this before.
Gaming laptops always felt like a gimmick to me, razer and dell always took that macbook essence with the designs and materials but there is always something missing. Macs just work, either plugged in or not, there are no surprises.

The rgb keyboard is actaully impressive. Speakers 10/10, Display 10/10
I wish laptops minimum brightness was 1, 000 nits as a standard. Tcl has a 4k mini led tv with 5,000 nits and hisense has a 4k mini led tv with 10,000 nits. I'm used to using very bright displays since I have every device that I use with max brightness in manual mode on at 100% 24/7 even indoors. I treat oled displays like they are a non oled display with dark mode always off, screen saver always off, max brightness always at 100% 24/7 including indoors, static images on purpose. I have screen saver always off so the display won't go to sleep so when I open the lid, the screen is still on even on oled laptop displays. The only time the display is asleep is when I turn off the laptop. Every oled device that I use already have burn in issues and the white colors turn yellow like a clear cell phone and the display has even gotten dimmer overtime. It's why I prefer to have a mini led display until micro led becomes mainstream and becomes affordable whenever that happens so burn in will be eliminated completely. I have the 2022 razer blade 15 with 4k 144 hz display, intel i9-12900h mobile cpu, 32gb ram, 1 tb ssd and 3080 ti 16gb vram version, I wish the display was 4k mini led with 1,000 nits like the msi 4k mini gaming laptops like the msi gt 77 titan gaming laptop. My razer blade gaming laptop is too dim even on max brightness.
