2:30 Wiring external video ports to the dGPU is definitely not always an advantage. Unless the iGPU is completely gone/disabled (in which case ouch battery life), runtime switching between laptop screen only, external only and/or a mixed scenario introduces stuttering on Windows. Getting it to work on Linux at all is shaky at best. Ideally, manufacturers implement a MUX switch that can be set in the firmware setup so you as a user can choose.

I love the speakers and the screen, don't love the touchpad (buggy and annoying accidental clicks), the keyboard is meh. the package is pretty impressive though.
As a motion designer that requires a shit tonne of power that is also thinking about being a digital nomad, this performance and size are perfect. Even the price isn’t too bad when it’s will be used for work. Don't worry LTT your subs all started their stopwatches the minute they noticed & reported the hack in one way or another. We're all watching to see how long it takes UA-cam to grace one of their big success stories with the most basic level of support in re-securing their large channel from one of the platform's many *known threats* There are tools that YT could provide to channel owners that can mitigate some of these attacks, I've only earned a couple basic cybersecurity certifications so far but honest to god this type of hack is absolutely something YT can and should be developing multiple systems for. This is an annoying example of how dereliction of duty creates real harm. Hackers will always target successful channels that is fair to say/expect, but when more big channels continue to get hit with these hacks well... it makes it look like YT channels with lots of employees can be easy targets... because they are. This will only get worse until YT implements more tools to diversity & expand their channel security features/options + improve their own system's resilience on the backend for situations like this where the "primary tools" fail.
I wonder if the 91 Wh battery is part of the travel limits. is the 99 Wh limit the total for air travel for all batteries that a person has? Or is it per device?
I've been shopping for a 16 or 17 inch laptop and man, there really arent a lot of great options... 15 seems to be the most popular which is fine but Im used to huge displays I could literally fit two 15 inch displays over my screen and have room left over. Love to see more of these hitting the market, wish the prices werent so insane.
Speaking of webcams, could LTT please do a comparison of high end webcams suitable for video conferencing AND 4K video streaming? I heard the Insta360 Link - PTZ 4K Webcam (with 1/2" Sensor & AI Tracking) is a good one, but we would appreciate reviews of all midto-high-end ($150 to $450 US) options? Don't bother including any that can't manage at least 1440p at 60fps. Thanks
I understand the design pretty well, as I need a desktop replacement due to travel necessities, although for that price, I can do much better in other models and brands, with better ergonomics, weight, keyboard, etc. But I’m kind of happy that companies are starting to give this kind of necessity a shot.

Assurdo ma allora sei ancora vivo!LOL ma che fine hai fatto? Forse sei incazzato con me ok va bene, importante aver capito che sei ancora vivo e vegeto!Spero che tu abbia una buona vita💜💜💜
lucky SC didnt get pulled into the whole situation.
hope you guys get everything back and sorted out soon!
linus must be sweating buckets right now
Hopefully we can learn something about security after this. I would love a security week from all the LMG channels
Depending on the method used there is little to nothing they could have done to prevent this.
@@RFDN0 probably just a fake email, maybe a fake sponsorship one. i agree with you though, they have lots of employees, quite a few i assume have access to the channels, probably don't know the password but are set up through the permission menu so their account has access to them
I always knew that ShortCircuit was the best of the LMG Channels
I embarrassingly did not realize my pointer precision was on. Never be afraid to give a tech tip, no matter how small or insignificant. Thanks Alex.
Dude, THANK YOU for mentioning the mouse pointer precision thing, that was driving me bananas for MONTHS.
next episode, how to secure your computer on linux by Anthony
Every time Dbrand sponsors a video they take a jab at Linus.
I miss ltt already
I am traveling a lot and needed a powerful laptop for gaming and video editing, so I got this particular laptop. I agree, at this price range it is hard to recommend, but when looking at the competition (larger and louder), it does stand out pretty well.
Please try to review these 4090 laptops with respect to a use case like mine, as i see that being one of the main reasons someone would purchase a laptop of this power.
It's actually painful just how many laptops do not have number pads anymore. This is an 18" laptop and does not have one, that is ridiculous.
Num pads are pretty useless for 90% of the population. Just get an external one if you want this laptop.
They aren't as practical as they were before
@@Amber57499 no its not. atleast its useful for excel kind of job which most people working with.
and no full size arrow key is baffling considering this is gaming laptop with that size. Some game need to use the full sized arrow key.
glad you are back. I hope damage was minimum!
Glad to still see content today from the LTT team.
Crypto scammers can [redacted because if I actually wrote how I feel about them this comment would be instantly hidden] themselves.
I can't work on any computer with less than a 17" screen, so this Razer Blad 18 is almost the perfect laptop for me, but I've been wishing for a 19" or larger laptop for more than 20 years now, I hope I lived to see it finally become a reality
2:36 how come the dbrand skin say razer's slogan at the bottom right?

I feel like the Razer laptops are very underrated. The brand as a whole gets a lot of deserved hate, but I would say the laptops are great
Except for having issues with synapse
11:09 I don't get it. Maybe two decades ago yes but nowadays pretty much every game utilizes raw mouse input, bypassing windows settings. Placebo is strong people.
that keyboard travel is gonna be great
also i love how this was uploaded as if nothing happened
If you think 9 pounds is inconvenient in a backpack, it's time to eat some red meat and hit the gym. There are plenty of good reasons to want a smaller laptop, weight in a backpack is not one.
Don't worry LTT your subs all started their stopwatches the minute they noticed & reported the hack in one way or another.
We're all watching to see how long it takes UA-cam to grace one of their big success stories with the most basic level of support in re-securing their large channel from one of the platform's many *known threats*
There are tools that YT could provide to channel owners that can mitigate some of these attacks, I've only earned a couple basic cybersecurity certifications so far but honest to god this type of hack is absolutely something YT can and should be developing multiple systems for.
I’d assume it’s just a holdover from last years model given that the smaller 16 inch has either a 95 or 98 watt hour battery.
Has anyone noticed how he asks for 2.1 every time when hdmi is presented. This is how you know you got a great reviewer.
Hope LTT Comes back tommorow cuz im gonna be binge watching it
I've been shopping for a 16 or 17 inch laptop and man, there really arent a lot of great options... 15 seems to be the most popular which is fine but Im used to huge displays I could literally fit two 15 inch displays over my screen and have room left over. Love to see more of these hitting the market, wish the prices werent so insane.
considering 15 is the maximum limit if you want to comfortably backpack a laptop in my opinion.
but wait, 16 inch is just 15 but 4:3 rasio
I guess this is what they mean by "the show must go on"
Admiring y'alls dedication.
Thanks
11:20 I always have mouse acceleration off but I still check every time I see it
Congrats on 2 million subscribers guys, you'll hopefully get your 10 million LMG play button soon.
I understand the design pretty well, as I need a desktop replacement due to travel necessities, although for that price, I can do much better in other models and brands, with better ergonomics, weight, keyboard, etc. But I’m kind of happy that companies are starting to give this kind of necessity a shot.
Got a brand new razer keyboard for my birthday. On the 3rd week the F key died. Went back to using my 10ish year old IBM keyboard. In the span of 10ish years that keyboard hasnt had any failures such as that.
@shortcurcuit 3:30 umm, that razor is a fingerprint magnet. Look at the palm rest, trackpad, keyboard and even ON THE SPEAKERS! WHAG😱 WOW!
I don't know if this was already like this in the link, but if you actually go to the sponsored link, the url changes referencing ShortCircuit's channel instead of LTT's. Maybe in relation to the channel's deletion
"And maybe in the future we'll try and have some slightly cheaper laptops" -- I'd love for you to cover Mendocino-based laptops, in my opinion the most exciting chip AMD has released in a very long time, but I seem to be painfully alone in that opinion.
