This was one of the rare bands that always sounded as good live as in the studio. An amazing feat. Even in their “senior”:years. RIP Skip🙏
This is a great song from one of Canada's finest bands. CANADA has world talent in all genres of music.
I saw them play this song at the Beaverbrook Rink in Fredericton circa the summer of 1974 . What a fantastic band and song!

Just saw them in Winnipeg 10 days ago.Great musicianship.Dan Clancy is a fabulous singer and frontman.They played for almost 2 hours and are still outstanding.See them if you can

We saw them in concert for the 1st time last weekend. We enjoyed them so much!! ❤
I FOUND THIS GREAT SONG WHEN I WAS LITTLE ON A K-TEL ALBUM I BOUGHT AT WOOLWORTH IN THE AUDUBON SHOPPING CENTER IN AUDUBON IN SOUTH JERSEY. IN MY OPINION THIS IS THERE GREATEST HIT I'VE NEVER HEARD THIS EXTENDED VERSION SOUNDS GREAT.

Loved Lighthouse right up there with Chicago. Skip and Dan Seraphine were my favorite drummers. Great pocket and electric fills! RIP Skip.
My favorite song of all time. I dedicated it to my own online pretty lady. It was on that day that I learned of Skip's passing.

This band sound SO good. Consider they're much older now and voices don't always hold up. Skip's voice is still sweet. I would love to see these guys live even now. Great work!!!

One of my favorite songs and band, RIP Bob and Skip, and also I saw them play at my former high school MDHS, in 1971, I sneaked in and man they had a fantastic sound, and even though I was just a kid they blew me away as it was the first Rock band I ever saw!

I remember they used to play at our high school (Richview C.I.) pretty much yearly in the early 70's. Great CANADIAN band!
Skip was just leaving Hill Park High school when I was in grade 9, but they came back and played in the gym at the year end concert and was blown away by the big sound of the band. McBride was in the band at that time as well. Went to see Lighthouse several years ago at a fine festival in St Catherine's and got to talk to Skip during a break. Such a nice man, so humble.

The studio version of this song is popular with "Beach Music" people in the southeastern U.S.
If you don't know the term "beach music", you can look up the full story somewhere. It's just music to which Carolina people have been dancing The Shag since the late 1940's. (No, this use of the word "shag" has nothing to do with the British term for sex.)
"Pretty Lady" has the tempo and structure for couples dancing.
RIP Skip Prokop. Caught them in concert twice in their heyday. It was magical. And this is very good

Bob McBride was to have sung lead but when he didn't show for the taping Skip sang it. It was used in an episode of The Trailer Park Boys with a guy singing karoake with the song. I still see Lighthouse on a regular basis since most of them live between London and Toronto Ontario.
