    Still my favorite video on the subject of ccu. CCU game took me from a cutty black to a Cutter, Perseus and a Galaxy with LTI. The loaners are a Carrack, VHarbinger and a HH. So that's what I have to fly until release. You can do almost anything you want in the verse if you have a lil knowledge.

      If you've got the time, that's certainly a valid strategy! Though many in the SC community have more money available than time. In this case, checking on the store occasionally to progress a chain can be far more time efficient than grinding to earn a ship that may be wiped in an upcoming patch.

    I can't get this to work. I've tried both FF and Chrome. Every time I try to do a CCU Chain, I pick my ship manually from my hangar (I've tested a few to validate the issue), I proceed to pick a bigger ship to upgrade to (I've been using odyssey for reference) but all i get is a pop up saying: Target unreachable. It offers a "simulate availability" option but that just shows a 1 item jump from my current ship to the odyssey, no discounts. Thinking the issue was connected with items not being in the store currently, I tried a more simple jump (hover quad to mustang gamma that is available as of today) and I get the same thing. Am I missing something?

    • @lonnixlethe
      @lonnixlethe  2 роки тому

      Hi Kyle. Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to look into this myself. I believe the issue you are experiencing is related to their currently not being any warbond sales available. The tool is designed to find the biggest discounts, and without any warbond discounts on the store between your starting and target ship, it is unable to plot a path that has a price different from buying your target directly (without CCU chaining). I would recommend keeping an eye on the store for the next time warbond discounts are available and then trying to tool again.

      Rn thats becayse the only wb items are corsair, cutter and c8r so any time I go to make a chain it uses those and then theres a huge jump to the target ship. I’m personally waiting for vulture to be released. Once it does I’ll run the chain again. Btw the wb sales rn are till 10th january. Hopefully by then vulture will be released and I’ll see if buying the cutter and c8r works out.

    • @lonnixlethe
      @lonnixlethe  Рік тому +1

      This is true. To get more than $5-$10, you will need to refresh your chain each time ships go on sale. The tool only tells you the discounts based on what is on sale at the time when you are setting up or refreshing your chain

Going to use it together with CCUGame but I already bought some upgrades due to WB sales on corsair and c8r pisces. I know I’m asking a lot but would you mind taking a quick lool at it and telling me what you think? I managed to lower price of 600i explorer from 475 to 145 (tax not included). Frankly, I think it’s impossible cause most ships are not in store and ofc WB sales and prices may chance. I think I missed something from the 2 videos : Do you need to buy a ship with Life Time Insurance to upgrade to your dream ship for him to have LTI aswell, or do u buy any ship with x months and you will have LTI anyway?

    • @lonnixlethe
      @lonnixlethe  2 роки тому

      At least one of the ships or the upgrades must have lifetime insurance for the final ship to have LTI. The game is supposed to take the largest insurance value of all base ships and upgrades and use only that one value. However, getting insurance on CCUs is quite rare, so it's generally much much easier to get LTI on the base ship. LTI on base ships can be fairly easily acquired on concept ship sales, straight to flyable ships, and on referral bonus ships (see my vid here on how to refer yourself! ua-cam.com/video/sgryepkqpts/v-deo.html)

    Hey!
    Maybe a dumb question here.
    Today (2022-09-16) the Warlock and Harbinger are on WB sale.
    If I get the warlock, which would be a part of a chain, can I fly with it? Or should I just wait and buy the ship I started the chain for, to maximise savings? Do buying out ships mid-chain affect the savings?

    • @reby1000
      @reby1000 Рік тому

      Hi,
      I am Late for your decision making on the Warlock, but maybe I can help for IAE 2952:
      If you buy the Warlock directly as Standalone Ship (WB or Not WB) you can fly it in game.
      If you ONLY buy the cheapest possible Upgrade to the Warlock, then you cannot because you do not have a full ship.
      If you wish to maximise savings you should buy only the cheapest possible upgrade to the warlock and wait for Future sales with more and other WB discounts.
      It is possible to find even several discounted CCUs before the Warlock so you can get a bigger total discount.

    • @lonnixlethe
      @lonnixlethe  Рік тому +1

      Only thing I would emphasized from reby100’s awesome response is that if you buy a ship as part of a chain (talking about upgrades, not the base hull) you won’t be able to use them until they are applied. For some of the lower cost upgrades, you could apply them to the base hull so they are usable while still building out the top end of your chain. However, as reby1000 mentioned, once you’ve applied an upgrade, you can no longer apply discounts below the value of the applied ship upgrade which could limit your total savings.

    What I dont understand fully, between different warbond sales for example IAE and invictus, what exactly do I do? Do I wait for smaller warbond increments if they are not available at thr current sale and then use the next discount?

    • @reby1000
      @reby1000 Рік тому

      Hi, you should always only buy the cheapest possible CCU available.
      So you may have purchased a Warlock to Cutty Black CCU for 5$ being worth 15 and a Hurricane to Banu Defender CCU for 5$ worth 25.
      Now the goal is to wait for future sales and to see and fill that 95$ gap between Cutty Black and Hurricane with another discounted CCU.
      A CCU gamers dream would be a discounted Hurricane: you buy e.g. Cutty Blue to Hurricane for 5 worth 20 and then try to wait for another discount to close the still existing gap from 100 to 175.

    Is there a way to use this method to upgrade a ship to lifetime insurance? I currently have a super hornet (ik not meta) with 24 month insurance and it would be nice to get lifetime somehow. I do currently also own a dragonfly with lti, if that would help.

    • @lonnixlethe
      @lonnixlethe  2 роки тому

      IIRC you could give a chain that uses the hornet as a base hull lifetime insurance. However this would require purchasing an upgrade that has LTI. These upgrades come around rarely and it would need to be in a price range between the Hornet and your new target ship.
      If the Hornet was your target ship, unfortunately the only way to get it would to rebuy the ship as an upgrade and to apply that upgrade to an LTI base like your dragonfly.

    So basically if I want turn my aurora into a prospector now I could buy a 50€ upgrade and turn it into a warbond ship. Then I would wait for the warbod ship to increase in value and after that repeat the process?
    Would another option be to wait for lower-cost first upgrade example 10-30€ in order to possibly get more warbond deals? Did I understand your video correctly?
    Or When I just buy warbond upgrade the upgrade won't happen but will be saved into the future to be able to use whenever I want?

    • @lonnixlethe
      @lonnixlethe  2 роки тому

      Warbond isn’t a ship type. It describes a ship upgrade or standalone ship that includes a discount but requires new cash into the game. Both your second and third paragraph are true. If you start with a cheaper base hull there are more opportunities for discounts. However, per your third paragraph, these upgrades aren’t applied automatically so you can rearrange them as you see fit and only apply them to your ship last minute to maintain flexibility

  • @AngelicStreak
    @AngelicStreak 2 роки тому

    It is impossible to plan your fleet now. Ships are constantly being nerfed and/or replaced by new, more powerful ones. It's called power creep and feature creep. Also, I would love to see a CCU game WITHOUT paying any real money -- just using store credits. You wouldn't save much, right? So, in reality, instead of saving money, you keep shelling out more real cash on a regular basis. CIG got you exactly where they wanted you. And by obsoleting your old target ships by power creep and feature creep, they will keep you on that path forever, unless you realize what is going on.

    • @lonnixlethe
      @lonnixlethe  2 роки тому

      I think it depends on what you want to do. There will continue to be new ships and each ship will need a purpose to exist and a reason for people to use it in the 'verse. If a new ship is a better fit for your play style, you can pivot your chain typically at a very low cost (often
