Still digging your show vids RB! Great fun! Good playing Fun crowd! Seems like Good times, dude!
RB ! Doing it right. yah yeah from mtw and 99 in L.A. jam night players. Support Live Music, folks. ; )
Great energy on the dance floor.
The camping spot, especially going fishing, really darn inviting.
Super duper cool!
Thanks Rich wonderful views on your camping trip… Gig sounded great l love the Electro Harmonix B9 we couldn’t find a new keyboard player so invested in the B9 wonderful pedal in my opinion!🙂
Thanks Mark, agreed, I use the b9 all the time when I play 3 piece.
Nice national anthem!
Another insightful gig vlog! For those who are thinking of gigging, I hope they note what you have used on many of your gig vlogs, for tried and true tools of your trade- Tele, Katana, pedals. The rest is all about your God-given talent and clearly a lot of work/practice that you put into your craft. Great playing as usual (and we also got to see a guy out on the dance floor rockin’ a Davey Crockett coonskin hat) 😎
Great video Rich, thanks for sharing. I really like your play list.
I think this video helped me understand why you Americans play the Tele a lot - it seems a versatile guitar for covering not just country but rock / blues genres too..
The Katana sounds good! Just picked up a 50 mkII myself.
The Katana sounds great yeah!. from mtw guitars in L.A.
Damn bro you looked shattered at the end of it all....... but great gig and nice camping spot with fun and fishing on the river...... Do you guys cover any of coco montoya's tunes..... I love that dude cheers m8 .
Nice set list and nice playing. Cheers
Folks in the boonies know how to have fun. Looked like a fun gig. Hard working people value their fun, give me a cold beer and a hard working band any day!
Someone needs to invent a lockdown knob gizmo
I LOVE roughing it. Best camping trip I ever took was several years back during November, drove to various Army Corps of Engineers campsites in Oklahoma. Finally settled in the Oachita National Forest on the border between OK and Arkansas for a few days. First mountains I'd seen that weren't part of the Rockies chain. My poor pup got sick eating bad walnuts at the campground and had massive diarrhea in the middle of a rainstorm. In November. Had to ditch the sleeping bag and tent. Slept in my car with the pup tucked into my jacket. Battery went dead, and had to wait on some new campers to show up to jump start it. Felt bad for the pup, but it was a memorable trip during a time when I was doing a lot to not have memories. I will never forget having to drive into the local villages for firewood (foraging wasn't allowed at the site) and being met with that unmistakable "Yer not from 'round here" look. Locals couldn't understand that I didn't want a full "rick" of firewood, only enough for a few days. Not to mention that I had a Boston Terrier with me, not some hunting or working dog. Despite my flannel and hiking boots, I was immediately identified as a city-born interloper. Just a guy and his dog with a tent and -40°C rated sleeping bag, and still pinpointed as an outsider.
Great videos Rich. Love playing those areas where live music is not the norm. I’m a solidly average guitar player but they make you feel like a rockstar…just like you said. Keep up the good work man!
Totally Awesome.
6:35 Heck yeah super cool gig vid! Thumbs up RB!
Mr. Bischoff, how many songs do you have memorized do you think? I’m trying to be a working musician, and I have 20-30 songs memorized for the most part. I was just wondering how many you have stored in the Ol’ brain bank, and how in the world you keep track of all of them 😂? I dig your content and your musicianship. I’m a new subscriber today. I found you looking up a Marshall origin originally and would love some more info or content about using one… thanks for your channel brother keep it up.
The guitar part of keeping a song in the brain bank is easy. Its just muscle memory, it's the lyrics that are hard to keep up there. So, I bring a book to gigs a lot of times with lyrics. Sometimes I use my phone or IPad or something. If I don't quite know a tune. I watch the other guys in the band after the first chorus I usually have it. Thanks for subscribing!
@@RichBischoff awesome bro, thanks for the info…
Marshall Origin - yeah thumbs up.
The bar looked fun. I don't know if that's everywhere but a very solid good looking girl/guy ratio hah. The 1 dude had about 3 good looking girls trying to dance up on him, but he had his eyes on the prize lol You always want what you can't have
Yup
I definitely enjoyed the video, keep it real and keep doing what your doing brother, thank you!
Thanks Chris.
Very Motivating Sir!🔥🔥
21:55 Stubby bottle!
The house was rocking. Lots of eye candy, too. Good job concentrating!
I'm a professional...
thumbs up!
Enjoy these Rich.
Thanks! they don't get a whole lot of views, but I enjoy making them.
I dig the Americana
Every place you play a gig is a place that would be the GIG I never stop talking about ! Lots of same old same old here in NY. You prob seen some shit on those Highways at night . Ever see a ufo ? 👽
Lots deer some moose lots of skunk and racoon. Never seen a UFO. But that would make for a good gig vlog. 🤣
@@RichBischoff Said it before. saying it again . Everybody needs an AFU. Hope I spelled that right, guys got charm .
@@stratjed yes he does!
I was for five years. We had a residency local but hated the travelling and in the end I was just worn out, from the organisation, late nights and working. Something had to go and it wasn’t my full time job. Became a bug bare. Alright if you haven’t got a full time job.
True, if your not playing every weekend it's doable, but the travel and late nights will get to you for sure.
@@RichBischoff yep. And there are the differences in opinion between the band on which gigs should be played. ie who can turn up to what.
Disagreements were not uncommon and are not just limited to famous successful bands. As band leader I was always seen as on the fence as I had to keep it all together, this was so tiring. For people who wish to be in a band the reality is so different from the glamourised vision most people have. We did some great gigs with the audience going crazy for more, that was great and an experience I will never forget for the rest of my life. These famous successful bands have to have very strong bonds via family or life time friends through college ect. I think of bands like a pink Floyd, Alice Cooper and AC/DC.
Hey Rich, does your tele deluxe hum at all? I’m thinking of getting one but it definitely didn’t seem like those pickups were noiseless when I played one.
I want to get out west! I love the space and the scenery! You guys sounded great. I’m 60 and I love the gigs when they come but they are exhausting! As a guitar player I need only 5-10 minutes to set up and tear down, but as a band mate I always help our drummer and sound man. That gear is heavy! We do some outdoor shows in Arkansas in the summer - those can be very hot. We don’t get offended if people don’t dance due to the temp, that fact that they stay and have good time is enough.
Who's working the camera? Not Greyson surely?
Haha, nope! Dropped him off at home after camping.
EPIC vid, Rich!! One of your best yet. Lots of honesty, and yeah - we could tell you were dog tired when you got home. How could you not be? Congrats on even being able to pull that one off! Man - that spot on the River in Idaho looks AMAZING! Going to be putting that one on my travel list - for sure. Looks unbelievable. Man -then Wyoming gigging! I have a major league infatuation with The American West - especially Utah / Idaho / Wyoming. I want to move out there so bad. Just can't leave Mom and Pops right now. Maybe one day though. This was just so much fun to watch! Pinedale looks like a really cool little Town. Gotta check that out with my Family, too. Anyway - thanks for posting this vid. Love it.
Thanks! It's nice our here. But this summer it's really hot. I could do without the 95+ temperatures.
@@RichBischoff Well.... we have 95 to 100 just about every day = with unbelievable humidity. So you walk out the front door dry - and within 90 seconds, you are sopping wet. I will admit... it's been just a little more mild this yea - but still bad. I'm over it. I like it out there better. The weather. Everything, really. The whole damm Country lives on the East Coast. I'm just so over it.
I get it. I lived in Michigan for a few years. Was really humid. It's not as populated out here and I like that.
Idaho? No, Udaho!
Sometimes Idaho...
