Thrilled to stumble on this last night . From upstate but have lived in Az. for 40+ years & I get very homesick for beautiful Lake George in the summer so LOVED going around town with you
Went to Lake George as a kid a few times in the 70's, always enjoyed it. Picked up going again in the late 80's after getting married and went a few times, then picked up going again in the early 90's once my first child was born, been back pretty much every year since. Even if not looking for a destination spot when there, just enjoying chilling where we're staying and swimming every day is so relaxing.
We are going to lake George for the first time so this video was extremely helpful. We will only be there for 4 days. After seeing this video I think 4 days is not enough. Great video…thank you😀👍
I’m going for my first time with my family in August. This video really helped give me some ideas! Thank you so much for the help. I’ve been stressing trying to plan for everyone to enjoy themselves
We are heading back up there this June (we live in NJ). It's a great place to relax and enjoy some incredible scenery. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Grew up in the Captial Region, worked 2 seasons at the Saratoga Race Track. Transplanted to WNY for College and subsequently work. Great to see all the NY stuff you're stopping at, brings back memories
For correction purposes - the lake itself is the biggest attraction, not The Great Escape. Fort William Henry is a replica, the original fort was in operation from 1785 to 1787, but it was destroyed and the replica was built in the 1950’s. The outlets are technically in Queensbury, about 15 minutes outside of Lake George Village.
Perfect place to be. Right by my family. It is definitely heaven on earth. Love going to Playland Arcade too. (one of the arcades there) Driving up the lake all the way to Ticonderoga gives you amazing views
My dad’s uncle, his cousin and her family live in Whitehall, which is pretty close to Lake George. My dad, brother and Grandparents used to go up to Lake George every Summer (or mid Fall and mid Spring.) I miss coming up there
My parents live in Saratoga and have a boat on Lake George. I recently went to Common Roots (not expecting that since it is out of the way) and definitely like the beers I had plus it is a really well done spot. Great content you had some stuff I did not know about like the Warrensburgh goat farm and you also went to some hidden gems like Oshaunessy and Lake George baking company. I'm surprised you did not included Prospect Mountain and Martha's as well as Northway Brewing (brewery is right next to Fun Spot Mini golf and a very short walk to Pirates cove as well as Adventures family fun center). Mini golf is definitely the thing to do there and the places do an great job maintaining it (last time I was at Fun Spot they were actually redoing a bridge). Also Lake George steamboat company has a boat called the Mohican that goes a lot more north on the lake where it is more secculeded. I find Lake George very underrated in the fall. The fall foilage is beautiful and really adds to the rides at Great Escape and cruises. The whole area is less crowded and Prospect Mountain is free.
ive been going to Lake George since i was 6.... camping on islands within the Narrow Bunch near Bolton Landing.... would always love to tube behind the Mohican or the Minne-Ha-Ha or when the Morgan would go by
So I have not been to Lake George in a couple of years it’s a pretty awesome place they have a really cool donut shop like right when you walk into town I hope it’s still there
Don't mess with my lake George !!! This place has gone to commercialized I'm glad I was able to spend my summers askid in the 70 s my dad would tell us to enjoy it while it lasts
Hope you found someplace. The closer you get to downtown, places with a beach are more expensive but there are a few towards the top of the village where the traffic light is that aren't too bad. Going up 9N a few miles, we used to stay at Golden Sands Resort. They have a decent sized private beach and some rooms close to the water if you like that or up towards the office there are some lesser priced units. We're heading up in a couple weeks to stay at O'Sullivan's and this way you can watch the Thur fireworks from the property though walking downtown really wouldn't be that much of a hassle either. Many things to do, just drive around.
My dad Bill Swan made the Burger family at international fiberglass he's the same man who made Paul Bunyan,Bobs big boy, chickens, roosters he made several other but probably the most popular he made was the Ford Mustang horse for Ford which is the exact same horse the emblem was copied from.
I have probably played at goony gold dozens of times since I was a kid. My grandfather wins the free game on the last hole every time. I have won it exactly never.

I’ve been here as a kid, teen and as an adult- this place has been part of my life 🥹
I love this place. Go here every year.
Thank you for your film, from Sweden, God Bless You!
Great video. Loved the mini golf course. My parents took me there in the early 70s I can't believe it's still there !

This is my hometown, but I've been living in Florida for almost 11 years now. I'm so glad to see this because I'm so homesick 💔

I visited there many years ago...
What was the name of the cabin you stayed at?
It was through airbnb: “Adirondack log cabin Lake George”

I live in LG!
Nice!
We are thinking of going in a few weeks. Is it worth it and where is the best place to stay with a beach ?
I don’t think there are too many beaches. There is the million dollar beach right by the village

15 miles from there. Did you go to Saratoga
Only very briefly

I go there about 2 to 3 times a year for vacay and temp work. And I'll tell you there's not really another place I wanna be at at the moment.
They actually made the video about Lake George and not themselves.
That is how we try to run the channel.
For me it’s an hour away cause I live a few miles away from lake George
Next time go to the other side of lake George and go to fort Ticonderoga
I live here :)
I am going on this far day
I go tomorrow
And I'm back lol

Same thing here, played that course every year growing up and never got the free game.
My boyfriend is from Lake George
