Think about an iron pressure plate to allow more seeds per shot. Also stop the seed dropper when the crystalized seed dropper is full.
That's a serious waste of power turning individual seeds to crystallised ones. 2000RF for each blast +x per seed. Should do a stack at a time.

bjam89, it's 2k per shot and some per seed. So if you shoot once per seed you use 2k RF + some per seed. so it's 64x2k + 64xsome per stack. If you do one stack at a time it's 2k + 64xsome per stack. It's 126k RF more per stack if you use one at a time.
Why not use integrated Dynamics to simplify things?
The blast would be converting more seeds at a time, so while the individual number of seeds would increase the draw on that section, the RF requirement for the blast itself would remain the same. It would then take less blasts to convert the same number of seeds, mitigating that massive initial cost of the laser pulse
bjam89 If you do 64 seeds 1 at a time you waste 64*2000 + 64*[seed transformation cost].
If you do a stack at a time, it's 2000 + 64*[seed transformation cost]. Doing a stack at a time saves you you 126000 rf/stack.

Dire, you can easily double the number of oil generators you have. Remember, the improved oil has additional burn time as well as additional RF/t, unless the pack nerfed that. Experiment with how many oil generators you can keep running, you might be surprised

Dire the system you used to make crytsallized canola seeds is flawed: it will keep turning canola seeds into crystallized seeds, and if all generators fill up with oil it'll backlog your vacuum chest and canola seeds will despawn. To fix it set the precision dropper to pulse mode and only make one crystallized seed each time the fluid collector collects canola oil.
Still can't believe Dire built more less a seeable base. LEL.
you can make dyes using the atomic re constructor and the lens of colour. Also a good starting inventory set up is the RFtools storage scanner and remote card thing
Dire the precision dropper can also drop items upwards, so you can make the crystalized oil setup more compact
I feel like the setting on the power monitor are backwards.
Not really, a lot of power generation blocks either require redstone to run or have a setting to require it. The oil generator is the backwards block if you think about it.
i've automated crystallized oil generating using integrated dynamics mod and it was also cool..

Lol, dire has been playing with enderio for sooooo long and he still hasnt figured out the conduit configuration places the direction buttons over the connection it configures.... You dont need to check what direction you are facing...

Yes, but it's hard sometimes to work out which direction is what from the connections. If for example you've got two machines connected such as the carpenter's from forestry, you'd still have to check directions to work out which is which.

24:30 You dont need redstone conduits, the wood plate will deactivate the dropper even without them.
Scanners don't pulse their redstone signal. So if the system somehow stalls, like because the liquid breaker is full, then it'll never restart itself.

u also can make semi automation using hopper on the empowerer
3 photovoltic cells overall would give about the same RF/tick as those canola generators with way less automation needed.
But they only work during day.

beez1717 that's a good point, it can be useful. But it lacks the automation challenge that this build had.
A grid of thermoelectric generators with ice/yellorium will passively generate 40 rf/t each AND are extremely cheap to produce. Sure it'll be a bit more ugly but you can put it literally anywhere as it's not dependant on the sun. If placed in a diagonal pattern they tile really nicely too so you can essentially have a huge grid of free energy that is more powerful than most other options that use fuel.

So I've decided it would be more fun to see me creating the exact same build I've been doing in every series lately" At least you could've used integrated dynamics but no, you keep thinking repetition = entertainment even though you specifically chose this modpack to leave your comfort zone and to try out other mechanics.

Hey Dire, idea. try putting a 1m cap under each empowering stand. That should help with empowering items with low passive power system.
Dire, why don't you try out the Telepad from EnderIO? Not only can you use it with the rod of return for the same functionality as the matter receiver, but you can use it to teleport to a specific location, in any dimension, with no need for a receiving end.

idk how about in this game time, but i use 3 sequencers (rftools) to auto make crystalized canola seed and max delay to drop (from bottom to up) to make oil
you can bonemeal rose bushes and you get infinite roses..
you can plant beetroot and get infinite rose red.
he did bonemeal them, he said that at the beginning of the video!
he bonemealed grass to get poppies.. xD
and you can use those roses with a color lens on a...that AA machine and you can get infinite bonemeal and lapis
Later on, you can make a Combiner from Mekanism. That can get you diamond ore from cobble and diamonds.
All that automation would have been cool with Integrated Dynamics

Crystallized and Empowered oil is 50 times the effort in automation for less RF/t than a Diesel Generator.
Isn't there an upgrade that links two drawers like enderchests, because that would make your build fully automated. Or you could relocate the canola cloche in the basement.

Anyone else having problems with the vacuum hopper not picking up any items with a filter placed in it. I have it set to always active and whitelisting for only crystallized canola oil

System Collapse is interesting but he jumps in leaps and bounds you miss some stuff, by time I got one IC2 Nuk setup he had a room full of the damn things and I hate IC2 nuks, make one teeny tiny error and BOOM your base is gone or a chunk of it, he's so far ahead now I gave up watching until later maybe.
Mabel L. I built several nukelear reactors, and btw bis are rly safe. I made some mox fuel reactors that get me 1000eu/t and with these i farmed so much Iridium that i got 4k EU/t in solar panels = uu matter for days

Mabel L.lol i used it to set up the canola system and it works really not sure if it is an aoe thing but you have to add a battery to the cables to get it to work and a constant supply of rf .... if anyone is going to use it

Matej Velican Yes there is. Not sure if it required for progression but it is in there
Bees are needed for end game, tree breeding is just for convenience (you can get tons of seed oil). On the other hand, if you farm melons in a IE Garden Cloche, the quantity is so high that it compensates the low seed oil output.

Your crystallized oil l seems a bit slow.I already had a diesel engine at this point from immersive engineering. it only took 3 cloche to setup one that can run forever. 4000+ rf a tic. i don't even need that much power right now. my ic2 power is what's being a pain. I already blew up one reactor :|
Not a fan of this episode. I feel like this series is turning out to be a copy of the last couple of Let's Plays. I'm kind of waiting to hear "Oh no, the Endermen put a nuke in my basement again!"
well i really like this series, only tech stuff, i really hate magic mods, if u play gregtech and get the first iridium or in this case techreborn it is soo rewarding, get thaumcraft or something similar and set and forget; kind of boring to me

I believe it refers to the advanced generators (or whatever the mod is called) turbine generator, which is a massively expensive multiblock generator, i don't know if it is beyond his tech level, but even if he could make it, he really shouldn't without having a quarry because it would take quite a long time to gather the materials by hand.
Yeap advanced generators is past his tech level due to the turbines needing pellets of RTG fuel.

The scanner looking for crystallized oil will keep that signal on, so that fluid collector will keep trying. Since it can't pick up, the other scanner (that is looking for oil) will never output a signal, so it won't drop a seed. What exactly were you concerned about?

Why should i stop my Diesel gen when my power is full, it only needs rf, so what am i loosing. Just unneeded Automation, and dire misses so much stuff when he is ignoring what the quest book is telling him to do

And we all know it's not really efficient. If Dire went into Extra Utilities he could some form of powergen out of there and generally it's 800 RF per Generator with speed upgrades, some are better, some worse, but it would be better than canola. And it needs less automating.

but he doesn't have it connected, the ic2 machines are their own thing

one thing that is boring me to death is how dire never leaves his comfort zone. example: he always makes dark armour, that is not the best he can get with the same resources he has. always gets the same things over and over again every new modpack/series. im starting to get legit bored of watching him make the same things on camera, ender io is a mod for technological revolution, not weapons. i can understand the use of the teleportation wand, but that is it.
"he always makes dark armour," the pack designer heavily recommends having Dark Armour before going to fight the ender dragon. Your ire in this instance is misplaced.
