Personally I think James LaBrie has subtly shaped Dream Theater to what it has been for over 20 years. He is by nature a standalone vocalist that is adaptable to wherever he goes. I listen to Dream Theater, his solo albums and even this Winter Rose, he is simply 'not of this earth'.
