I disagree with you. I've had parts of my beard waxed off. I have very thick deeply rooted hairs, but it's really not that bad. It hurts like heck and it bleeds quite a bit, but you save shaving for multiple weeks and it's baby smooth until it regrows.
Is there any better alternatives that would help remove facial hair from the root other than lasers? (Laser hair removal doesn’t work well for middle eastern people)
I love this video! I see beard wax videos all over instagram and it looks so painful! I'm also worried about any possible skin damage! I did start offering a beard "clean up" strip for the stragglers but will NEVER tough the main beard. It's actually very popular at my spa but I would never do any more than that to potentially damage someone's skin on the face 🤦♀️
Here in Ph, there is Face wax here and Ive been waxing my beard for 8years now. The first time I did it, it bleeds but it's fine as I am from shave. Then , the succeeding months, I've used to it, it's all about proper care especially for the post wax process like putting aloe gel 2 times a day. Thats's all :)
It kinda does I guess, I mean...plucking hairs is painful as well but after a while you become more tolerant to that kind of pain. Waxing is basically the same but at a much bigger scale since you ripping off all those hairs at once
In Middle Eastern countries this is done all the time. Men like a clean well groomed look that lasts. They start very young and have his done every time they visit the barber. The hair and beards both look like these men could be models..😍
I just waxed my beard a couple days ago for the first time, and I'm here to tell you, it was excruciating! It was bleeding and everything. But man, oh man, the results are sooo good. I look so much younger and my skin looks so smooth and bright. I absolutely love the results, but it comes at a hefty price. If you're a man who's thinking of doing this, you've been warned.
Good on you for doing it, but speaking as someone who would be one of those. He definitely knew what he was getting into, & was ready for it. ❤ & you probably made him so happy because he was finally able to look at himself in the mirror & see himself look 'right' if that makes sense. Even if it was only for a short while.

i have a pretty decent pain tolerance and i dont think most people who dont fully understand different hair types and locations really do matter in waxing a coarse mens beard is the most painful to wax. its kind of comparable to a bikini wax but worse, i tried to wax my chin and neck and i couldnt do it, the upper cheeks hurt but was tolerable the lower you go on a mans beard the worse it gets. i ended up just getting full face laser hair removal and now im hair free. laser hair removal was painful on the beard too but nothing compared to waxing. DONT DO IT YOULL REGRET THE PAIN lol
I keep a short trimmed beard but there's always a few hairs that get in between my lips, especially at the corners of the mouth. I figured out it's not the beard itself but rather small transparent hairs that actually grow directly on the lips. I am now plucking these - just close the tweezers at the surface of the lips several times until I grab the hair because these are invisible to the eyes. It hurts. But after a few of these I have peace of mind for several months.
I get Brazilian Waxing down frequently I get eye brow wax about every two weeks Neither are pain full to get done I’ve gotten my beard waxed and it was very painful I could tell the hair was way more deeply rooted. I had a lot of pin point bleeding like she mentioned in their video I would not recommend getting your beard waxed
So absolutely no real information on why not to face wax? Just a story on one instance? Not very good information as a whole, science data, medical data, actual dermatology info?
What about women suffering from (pcos)?…facial hair is extremely thick and stubborn.. I’ve seen plenty of other locations do AMAZING work removing thick stubborn facial hair… you might want to watch some UA-cam videos on (pcos)… you may learn something…
i work at ewc and me and my coworker were about a month in and she got a man and he wanted his beard waxed. he was in so much pain and there was blood and he complained. my manager then banned everyone from doing that service.
I work for EWC and if a man asks to get his beard waxed, I will refuse. I've been with the company for almost 6 years and will not let them make me feel uncomfortable. Now, if it's a man who's already been getting waxed and there is a visable difference, I might do it

Going to begin at home waxing and would appreciate your input. Some say begin exfoliating at least 3 days before waxing. Some say stop exfoliating at least 3 days before waxing. Some say wait at least 24 hours after waxing to exfoliate. Others say wait at least 3 days up to a week after waxing to exfoliate. Some say to moisturize immediately after waxing. Others say to avoid moisturizers and lotions for 24 hours as it can clog pores. What is (on average) the correct, proper recommendation to avoid ingrown hairs and ensure desired results?
I would definitely exfoliate before waxing, it will give you much better results. Then I would wait 3 days after waxing to start exfoliating and would recommend to exfoliate 2x per week. Definitely moisturize immediately after waxing, just be careful what you use.
@@hissnkittenwaxing Do you recommend exfoliating 2x a week, every week in general or only post waxing? I know exfoliating your body at least once a week is likely good skincare practice. Would you say 2x a week, a few days apart, the week that you’re going to begin waxing is enough exfoliation beforehand? Or is something like every day beginning three days before waxing more recommended? Do you suggest stopping exfoliating a certain day before waxing or can you exfoliate even the night before? Men's facial hair is denser and thicker when you wax it you can see the wholes the hair came out from
Trans woman here, I just waxed my face today to stop having to shave every 3 days. It honestly wasn’t that bad, worst spot was under the chin.

Those videos where they show people waxing the whole beard make me cringe so bad!!!
This was hands down the most painful thing I ever did to myself (20 min ago), I have to assume that it will feel less painful next time though. ..
It kinda does I guess, I mean...plucking hairs is painful as well but after a while you become more tolerant to that kind of pain. Waxing is basically the same but at a much bigger scale since you ripping off all those hairs at once

i have a pretty decent pain tolerance and i dont think most people who dont fully understand different hair types and locations really do matter in waxing a coarse mens beard is the most painful to wax. its kind of comparable to a bikini wax but worse, i tried to wax my chin and neck and i couldnt do it, the upper cheeks hurt but was tolerable the lower you go on a mans beard the worse it gets. i ended up just getting full face laser hair removal and now im hair free. laser hair removal was painful on the beard too but nothing compared to waxing. DONT DO IT YOULL REGRET THE PAIN lol
I really want to get rid of my beard though. Tired of having to pay for hot towel shaves every few weeks.

Just get it waxed regularly at the European Wax Center, then most of the new growth will die.

@@hissnkittenwaxing, well, I am a man, and I wax regularly. NO damage. 👅
So is there permanent damage done to the face and head since the hairs are so deeply rooted or is it just very painful?
Not at all.
I get Brazilian Waxing down frequently
I get eye brow wax about every two weeks
Neither are pain full to get done
I’ve gotten my beard waxed and it was very painful
I could tell the hair was way more deeply rooted.
I had a lot of pin point bleeding like she mentioned in their video
I would not recommend getting your beard waxed

I’ll be using Cerapil blue and Tend Skin (roll on) immediately afterwards, followed by fragrance-free Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream for sensitive skin.
I don’t believe the cream should be irritating.

Such a weird video. Customer didn't complain, but you as the professional are preemptively doing it for them. Waxing hairs isn't really natural either way, but for some reason you're going to put a value judgment for men. Do you do anything different for loose skin?
You have to make sure you're holding the skin very tight!
