I keep getting the intermittent red/orange wireless icon and it hits like a truck. I've got super fast ethernet, so the connection shouldn't be the issue.
For me hardware decoding was the issue. Never use software decoding on the client and on the server. You can also show the performance otherlay on the client (change it to 'show details') Also the "super fast internet" must but on the client and the server. If you're on your local network it's the same connection but if you want to play using 4G, don't even try it. You need at least 100Mbps to be able to have a decent gameplay (12MB/s). Also be sure there is nothing curently using internet in your home. Something like someone watching a 4K video on UA-cam/Netflix will kill your remote play even on fast internet.
changing the client side options on the pc u are streaming from, does nothing xD u have to change the client side options, on the other machine u are actually streaming to
Hi! I always use steam link in my home, using for PC and cellphone the same wi-fi connection, but this weekend I decided to visit my mom and the Steam Link aren't working. He recognises my PC, but don't connect. There is something that i can do? Sorry for my bad english
Quick and Easy false information! The host is where the game is played from and the client is the device you are streaming to. So... you change host options on the HOST and you change client options on the CLIENT......
@@evanthompson5506 i have 200mbps up and down but it never reaches max speed in steam link. If i do anything else it reaches max speed but never in steam link
thanks for the default settings so helpful 😑

Did you ever find a fix? I can download 200 GB in four minutes, but for some reason, I can’t use steam link effectively
@@kaysynmartin3874 Nope, but I’m not remote anymore, so for me, the point is moot for now
