Great review, I test ride one and bought it straight away the same colour as only one they had in stock. Wasn't sure of colour but really grown on me and adds to the retro feel. I'm only 5'6 but I had the forward controls and aftermarket mufflers fitted. Absolutely love the bike 👍

I have forward controls on my 19 street bob. It makes such a world of difference, the stock seat is even more comfortable once you change the angle of your legs.

For my first bike I've been trying to do my research on the harley softail street bob and this video helps me out more. So thank you! I've ridden in the past but not a street bike more of the off road (atv/dirt bike) but always wanted a bike. Hope it works out lol

Yep changed the seat and exhaust on mine, amongst other things 😝! Such a fun bike. I clubstyled mine. Still have the mids but have the Hi way bars for longer rides 👌👌👌🤘🤘🤘

My son just got a used 2019 in Wicked Red Denim with low miles. The previous owner added Short Shots, Screamin' Eagle air cleaner with a tune and forward controls. The thing is a beast. Fun to ride and very nimble. My only complaint is the seat but he has a new Sundowner seat on order. He is 6'3" and with the apes and forward controls is very comfortable.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I really like the colour. It goes really well with the black bars, exhaust etc...

I have a Dyna Street Bob and test rode the new one. I was very happy to get back on mine. I wasn’t a fan of it. I wouldn’t say I hated it. I just like the feeling and ergonomics of mine more. Also while they made the handling better the Dyna has more lean angle. The Dyna is 31 left 29 right but if you get an exhaust that doesn’t scrape it’s equal. That’s about the same as Harley’s new muscle cruiser

I moved up from the street 750 to this beautiful bad ass bike on July 2nd. Love this thang! To me, I think this Bob is HEAVY af. I'm 5'7" 175lbs. I like this bike so much stock, I really dont want to change much. I haven't had to hit the breaks hard yet, which is great because this Bike has no ABS. I love how it will indicate what gear your in too. I love those mini apes too! I just cant say enough about this bike. Nothing negative yet. I'm still getting used to having more ccs and weight. I'm a new rider. This is my 2nd season in. I do plan on doing some mods like crash guards and frame sliders to start.
I love the naked bike too, I recently got into bikes when I visited the dealership with Uncle who has one.

Just bought the new street Bob, dealer told me not to worry bout the RPM's just don't run it in 6th, idk why, wants me to shift as much as possible. Live in Colorado so I've only been able to put a few miles on it but so far I'll tell ya it's alot more peppy then I thought it would be !!! Very nimble. I too said only thing wrong is the seat, I want two up seat and forward controls. I may change bars too, put low bars. So far I love it !!! First Harley. I'm hooked !!!
That's so weird about the transmission. I test rode one and felt the total opposite. I couldn't feel at all when I shifted and had to keep checking to make sure what gear I was in.

I bought a 2018 Street Bob and I love it. Being a newer rider myself I found the bike to be great to really learn on and cruise around with. I have to say the ride is way better than the Iron 883 I had before it. Mine is all Black so the color you had wasn't there its just looks yellow to me. That is something I wouldn't go for myself. I seen your review on the 18, and was wondering did you notice any big difference between the years?
I was considering a Sportster 1200 Custom, but my dealer has just about talked me into a Street Bob. The more reviews I see on UA-cam, the more I like this bike. I'm going to set up a test ride and see what happens. This would be my first ride on a Harley.

Also I love the small apes on it but needs a better seat in my opinion, and the breaks are amazing
I put 16 in bars on mine. With the saddleman gtech seat, and bung king highway bar. To stretch out on the longer rides.

My wife has to 2020 Street Bob - I fricken love it! So much fun to ride! And I actually LIKE the minimalist look or lack of gauges - I seriously don't care about MPH's or the tach that much, just my opinion.
I don't know man, I'm 6 foot and I have no issues with the mids. Hip and knee angle is pretty much the same as sitting on a desk chair. Really not bad. Love the new Street Bob. Anyway, great review.

Just bought a used 2019 Street Bob with only 88 miles on it! It’s my first bike!
How is it as a first bike?
J Gauchier It’s good for me. As a big guy, 5’10” 280 it fits me great. Has all the power I need but not enough to get in too much trouble. Obviously any bike can get you killed, but I plan on being a safe rider.
does it have keyless ignition?
Lee Harris yes. I have a 2018 street bob and I think it is standard for the softail to have a key fob.
Bladder infection yellow is no-go for me but other than that, I like it!!
The factory seat looks cool but feels like you will come off it and uncomfortable. As you mentioned, change the seat, switch to forward controls then exhaust and you have a sweet little nimble ride.
I think that is my exact bike!
I bought mine there in October of 2018!

Hey Blockhead i like the price point on the street Bob and it's the lightest but only by a few pounds now with the new FXDR can't wait to see you do a test ride on that well assuming you going to of course any way mate nice VLOG but then they all ways are with you
HD doesn't make forwards for this bike yet.Mine is a 2018 and the salesman claimed they were in the catalog, Not!!! I found some highway pegs made by a company called rivco. They work good you just need to modify the oil cooler shroud. That factory seat is good for about 20 minutes after that its like sitting on the frame. The M8 motor is a beast and this bike handles really nice. Just needs bigger tank.
I got an iron 883 due to this channel, after about 2 months I'm ready for something new, or more power.
I went and rode a 20 street Bob today, and only rode it for about 10 minutes before I went straight back, the seat was awful stock, I had zero confidence in rolling back, I just didn't feel secure in the stock seat. And the mid controls on that bike had me so stuffed up I wasn't comfortable. It's a shame cause I liked the power when I did get on it.
But from my iron with a saddlemen and forwards, I'd ride mine all day over riding the street Bob in stock form for anything over 10 minutes.
Saw this at the dealership and immediately thought Harley was trying to cut corners with modularity of the softail. Those shock covers too...are they trying to make a bobber club style? Just didn’t really like the mix there
Only ever ridden my Dyna Street Bob from 2015. I have test ridden the new 2018 Street Bob Softail. The Dyna looks better, I think. Even so, the new Softail was more smooth out of the box. Like a stage 1 from the get-go. Suspension is better. No more jarring shocks that buck you off the seat. I couldn't scrape the peg, even though I tried. I could feel the wheel moving underneath my ass, which was odd but ok. Seat is more comfy. 3rd gear has torque.
Ultimately a more smooth, refined machine. It's a better bike to be sure.
Nice video, it convinced me to make the order for a 2020 Street Bob next week. I will order Jeckyll&Hyde exhaust with valves (in Germany we have strict regulations, but this exhaust is legal as long as I dont press the button for open valves when I am on public streets.... ;-P) and forward controls (180cm here)

Could of bought one of these last July but wasn’t really impressed with it so went with a 2013 blackline instead but it’s growing on me now.
It is very cool Orlando Harley lets you take all these test rides to Mexico. Will they need their 5k service when you return? Not a fan of the "Honey Mustard" color. Will leave that to my chicken sandwiches. Thanks for doing these first for '19 test rides. Like everyone else, waiting with bated breath for the FXDR. Make sure you take that one up into the mountains of Mexico and really put it through it's paces.
From a Brit who's driven by your dealership on the i-4 many a time. Next time we are on holiday I think I will call in because I am seriously thinking of buying a Harley over here. Maybe I could have a test ride, fan of the 1200 iron. Good video as usual, also like the colour on this one.

@blockhead you should touch on the fact that a lot of newer Harley's are throttle by wire rather than throttle by cable. I just bought a new 2019 street bob and I noticed the acceleration curve is WAY different for the fly by wire vs fly by cable. it tends to jerk straight into a fast speed rather than ease into it with the cable style throttle. do you know how to adjust the computer or make this change on the engineering level?
I really enjoy my FXBB. Quick bike, that 107 in a light chassis is super fun!! Good handling. Not a fan of this beer cheese color but to each his own :)
I've been rocking the 2018 Street Bob (exactly the same just in black) since june and I love it. It had some issues as a first production year but I can highly recommend it. You get the same frame and power plant as the more pricey bikes for an affordable price. You're gonna customize all of them eventually...
"More affordable" It's still at least a thousand if not two thousand too much. It's an average quality motorcycle with average quality components and materials.

Awesome video! I would like to know your honest opinion on something. I have a 2015 Iron 883 and I'd like to upgrade. I've been riding since 2015 & i mostly do city stop and go/commuting on my 883. What would you recommend as a good Harley upgrade?

I like the new M8. But being 6’1” I’m just too tall for it. Don’t want to change to front controls bc of the bung kings I plan to install and also maneuverability. Definitely messes with the ability to lean. 😩
Guess I’ll keep looking for a 2017 fxdl and put on higher shocks.

Went and sat on one at the local dealer today. Actually went to check out the 887. But once I got on that streetbob my mind was changed
I am thinking about doing the Freedom Promise exchange that Harley is promoting this weekend and trading in my Iron 1200 that I just bought this February and getting this beautiful Street Bob that you are test driving right now. It looks beautiful and it handles super well, light and low, just how I like it. I am a new riding passed my class 2 months ago and I feel ready for more power!!!
I have a 2019 FXBB Street Bob. Is it alright to leave my stock mufflers on, and add a Arlen Ness 65 At cleaner? Then put mufflers on later, along with the Screamin Eagle fuel tuner, later?

I have a 2006 CBR 1000RR and I would love to add a Harley to my garage. Ive ridden Dyna Street Bobs and loved them. I think i need to see about a test ride. (Not with the Mustard color) lol
would you say stay away from this bike if you are new to motorcycles or go for it? i was debating an iron 883 because of your channel. but most ive asked say its a bike you will grow out of fast. i dont want to spend money on a bike ill be bored of fast. this bike i really dig the look of. but being new to it. im trying to get as much info as i can on it. and make a solid choice.
Looks great. There is a rumor going around that you need to remove or pull back the rear tire to change the battery on 2019 Softail models. Has anyone heard this to be true?

Just an FYI on your review videos of the M8, I own an 18 FLSL M8. You can't just put exhaust on them. You have to do stage 1 or check engine light city. (ask me how I know). Just letting you know when explaining the new M8. Love your content!

rode a 2019 street Bob yesterday. wanted to love it but just couldn't. felt very metric in a way. rear brake was non existent. power was awesome. bought a 2017 dyna street Bob instead with only 357 miles!

You should really consider putting the the Stage 4 117 kit on your Low Rider S. It really wakes that bike up and you will definitely need a different seat so you don't go flying off the bike....and that ain't no joke.
Blockhead when you gonna do a review on the new lowrider? Either 2018/2019 would be nice to see
